1 Peter 3
1 In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word,
เห โยษิต: , ยูยมปิ นิชสฺวามินำ วศฺยา ภวต ตถา สติ ยทิ เกจิทฺ วาเกฺย วิศฺวาสิโน น สนฺติ ตรฺหิ
2 seeing your pure behavior in fear.
เต วินาวากฺยํ โยษิตามฺ อาจาเรณารฺถตเสฺตษำ ปฺรตฺยกฺเษณ ยุษฺมากํ สภยสตีตฺวาจาเรณากฺรษฺฏุํ ศกฺษฺยนฺเตฯ
3 Let your beauty come not from the outward adorning of braiding your hair, and of wearing gold ornaments or of putting on fine clothing,
อปรํ เกศรจนยา สฺวรฺณาลงฺการธารโณน ปริจฺฉทปริธาเนน วา ยุษฺมากํ วาหฺยภูษา น ภวตุ,
4 but from the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight.
กินฺตฺวีศฺวรสฺย สากฺษาทฺ พหุมูลฺยกฺษมาศานฺติภาวากฺษยรตฺเนน ยุกฺโต คุปฺต อานฺตริกมานว เอวฯ
5 For this is how in the past the holy women who hoped in God also adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands.
ยต: ปูรฺวฺวกาเล ยา: ปวิตฺรสฺตฺริย อีศฺวเร ปฺรตฺยาศามกุรฺวฺวนฺ ตา อปิ ตาทฺฤศีเมว ภูษำ ธารยนฺโตฺย นิชสฺวามินำ วศฺยา อภวนฺฯ
6 So Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you now are if you do well and are not put in fear by any terror.
ตไถว สารา อิพฺราหีโม วศฺยา สตี ตํ ปติมาขฺยาตวตี ยูยญฺจ ยทิ สทาจาริโณฺย ภวถ วฺยากุลตยา จ ภีตา น ภวถ ตรฺหิ ตสฺยา: กนฺยา อาเธฺวฯ
7 You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
เห ปุรุษา: , ยูยํ ชฺญานโต ทุรฺพฺพลตรภาชไนริว โยษิทฺภิ: สหวาสํ กุรุต, เอกสฺย ชีวนวรสฺย สหภาคินีภฺยตาภฺย: สมาทรํ วิตรต จ น เจทฺ ยุษฺมากํ ปฺรารฺถนานำ พาธา ชนิษฺยเตฯ
8 Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous,
วิเศษโต ยูยํ สรฺวฺว เอกมนส: ปรทุ: ไข รฺทุ: ขิตา ภฺราตฺฤปฺรมิณ: กฺฤปาวนฺต: ปฺรีติภาวาศฺจ ภวตฯ
9 not rendering evil for evil or insult for insult; but instead blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
อนิษฺฏสฺย ปริโศเธนานิษฺฏํ นินฺทายา วา ปริโศเธน นินฺทำ น กุรฺวฺวนฺต อาศิษํ ทตฺต ยโต ยูยมฺ อาศิรธิการิโณ ภวิตุมาหูตา อิติ ชานีถฯ
10 For, “He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.
อปรญฺจ, ชีวเน ปฺรียมาโณ ย: สุทินานิ ทิทฺฤกฺษเตฯ ปาปาตฺ ชิหฺวำ มฺฤษาวากฺยาตฺ สฺวาธเรา ส นิวรฺตฺตเยตฺฯ
11 Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.
ส ตฺยเชทฺ ทุษฺฏตามารฺคํ สตฺกฺริยาญฺจ สมาจเรตฺฯ มฺฤคยาณศฺจ ศานฺตึ ส นิตฺยเมวานุธาวตุฯ
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
โลจเน ปรเมศโสฺยนฺมีลิเต ธารฺมฺมิกานฺ ปฺรติฯ ปฺรารฺถนายา: กฺฤเต เตษา: ตจฺโฉฺรเตฺร สุคเม สทาฯ โกฺรธาสฺยญฺจ ปเรศสฺย กทาจาริษุ วรฺตฺตเตฯ
13 Now who will harm you if you become imitators of that which is good?
อปรํ ยทิ ยูยมฺ อุตฺตมสฺยานุคามิโน ภวถ ตรฺหิ โก ยุษฺมานฺ หึสิษฺยเต?
14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.”
ยทิ จ ธรฺมฺมารฺถํ กฺลิศฺยธฺวํ ตรฺหิ ธนฺยา ภวิษฺยถฯ เตษามฺ อาศงฺกยา ยูยํ น พิภีต น วิงฺกฺต วาฯ
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear,
มโนภิ: กินฺตุ มนฺยธฺวํ ปวิตฺรํ ปฺรภุมีศฺวรํฯ อปรญฺจ ยุษฺมากมฺ อานฺตริกปฺรตฺยาศายาสฺตตฺตฺวํ ย: กศฺจิตฺ ปฺฤจฺฉติ ตไสฺม ศานฺติภีติภฺยามฺ อุตฺตรํ ทาตุํ สทา สุสชฺชา ภวตฯ
16 having a good conscience. Thus, while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good way of life in Christ.
เย จ ขฺรีษฺฏธรฺมฺเม ยุษฺมากํ สทาจารํ ทูษยนฺติ เต ทุษฺกรฺมฺมการิณามิว ยุษฺมากมฺ อปวาเทน ยตฺ ลชฺชิตา ภเวยุสฺตทรฺถํ ยุษฺมากมฺ อุตฺตม: สํเวโท ภวตุฯ
17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, that you suffer for doing what is right than for doing evil.
อีศฺวรสฺยาภิมตาทฺ ยทิ ยุษฺมาภิ: เกฺลศ: โสฒวฺยสฺตรฺหิ สทาจาริภิ: เกฺลศสหนํ วรํ น จ กทาจาริภิ: ฯ
18 Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit,
ยสฺมาทฺ อีศฺวรสฺย สนฺนิธิมฺ อสฺมานฺ อาเนตุมฺ อธารฺมฺมิกาณำ วินิมเยน ธารฺมฺมิก: ขฺรีษฺโฏ 'เปฺยกกฺฤตฺว: ปาปานำ ทณฺฑํ ภุกฺตวานฺ, ส จ ศรีรสมฺพนฺเธ มาริต: กินฺตฺวาตฺมน: สมฺพนฺเธ ปุน รฺชีวิโต 'ภวตฺฯ
19 in whom he also went and preached to the spirits in prison,
ตตฺสมฺพนฺเธ จ ส ยาตฺรำ วิธาย การาพทฺธานามฺ อาตฺมนำ สมีเป วากฺยํ โฆษิตวานฺฯ
20 who before were disobedient when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ship was being built. In it, few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
ปุรา โนหสฺย สมเย ยาวตฺ โปโต นิรมียต ตาวทฺ อีศฺวรสฺย ทีรฺฆสหิษฺณุตา ยทา วฺยลมฺพต ตทา เต'นาชฺญาคฺราหิโณ'ภวนฺฯ เตน โปโตนาลฺเป'รฺถาทฺ อษฺฏาเวว ปฺราณินโสฺตยมฺ อุตฺตีรฺณา: ฯ
21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
ตนฺนิทรฺศนญฺจาวคาหนํ (อรฺถต: ศารีริกมลินตายา ยสฺตฺยาค: ส นหิ กินฺตฺวีศฺวราโยตฺตมสํเวทสฺย ยา ปฺรตชฺญา ไสว) ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย ปุนรุตฺถาเนเนทานีมฺ อสฺมานฺ อุตฺตารยติ,
22 who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.
ยต: ส สฺวรฺคํ คเตฺวศฺวรสฺย ทกฺษิเณ วิทฺยเต สฺวรฺคียทูตา: ศาสกา พลานิ จ ตสฺย วศีภูตา อภวนฺฯ
