< 1 Peter 3 >

1 In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word,
In ouiya sacna, mutan payuk kowos in akos mukul tomowos, tuh kutena selos fin tia lulalfongi ke kas lun God, orekma wo lowos an ac fah pwanulosme in wi lulalfongi. Ac tia enenu kowos in fahkla kutena kas,
2 seeing your pure behavior in fear.
mweyen elos ac liye na moul nasnas lowos, ac luman akfulatyen God suwos.
3 Let your beauty come not from the outward adorning of braiding your hair, and of wearing gold ornaments or of putting on fine clothing,
Kowos in tia orekmakin mwe yun ma liyeyuk lik tuh in akkatoye kowos, oana mwe naweyuk nu ke aunsuf, ku mwe walwal orek ke gold, ku nuknuk yohk molo.
4 but from the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight.
A kato lowos uh in tuku liki nunak pwaye lun insiowos, su kalem ke inse misla ac efal, tuh ma inge ac fah oan paht, ac pa saok na pwaye ye mutun God.
5 For this is how in the past the holy women who hoped in God also adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands.
Tuh mutan in pacl oemeet ah su lulalfongi ac finsrak yohk in God, elos sifacna nawelosla ke elos akos mukul tumalos uh.
6 So Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you now are if you do well and are not put in fear by any terror.
Sarah el tuh ouinge; el aksol Abraham ac pangnol leum lal. Inge kowos acn natul Sarah kowos fin oru ma wo ac tia sangeng ke kutena ma.
7 You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
In ouiya se pacna inge, mukul payuk uh kowos in muta yurin mutan kiowos ac esam lah elos munas liki kowos. Oralos in wo ac akfulatyalos, tuh elos ac wi kowos ipeis ke moul ma pahtpat, su mwe kite lun God. Oru ma inge, tuh in fah wangin ma lusrong pre lowos uh.
8 Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous,
In aksafye mwe sramsram luk uh: kowos nukewa enenu in nunak sefanna ac ku in pulakin ma mwet wiowos in lulalfongi elos pulakin. Kowos in lungse sie sin sie, ac kowos in kulang ac inse pusisel nu sin sie sin sie.
9 not rendering evil for evil or insult for insult; but instead blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
Nimet folokin ma koluk ke ma koluk, ku sang kas koluk in lain kas koluk. A kowos in folokin ke kas in akinsewowoye, mweyen mwe insewowo pa God El wulela kac mu El ac sot nu suwos ke El tuh pangon kowos ah.
10 For, “He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.
Oana ke Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Kutena mwet su lungse engankin moul lal Ac kena liye pacl wo, Enenu elan tia fahk kutena kas koluk Ac tia sifil kikiap.
11 Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.
El enenu in forla liki ma koluk ac oru ma wo; El enenu in suk moul misla ke insial nufon.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Tuh Leum El tawi mwet suwoswos Ac lipsre pre lalos; A El lainulos su oru ma koluk.”
13 Now who will harm you if you become imitators of that which is good?
Kowos fin moniyuk in oru ma wo, su ac fah akkolukye kowos?
14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.”
Tusruktu kowos finne keok ke kowos oru ma wo, kowos insewowo na! Nimet sangeng sin kutena mwet, ac nimet fosrnga.
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear,
A kowos in akfulatye Christ insiowos, ac akleumyal in moul lowos. Akola pacl nukewa in topuk kutena mwet su siyuk ke finsrak se su oan in kowos,
16 having a good conscience. Thus, while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good way of life in Christ.
tusruktu oru ke kas fisrasr ac ke sunak. Karingin nunak lun insiowos in nasnas na, tuh mwet fin fahk kas in akkolukye kowos, elos su fahk kas koluk ke orekma wo lowos ke Christ, ac fah mwekin ke ma elos fahk uh.
17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, that you suffer for doing what is right than for doing evil.
Tuh wo kowos in keok ke sripen orekma wo lowos, fin pa inge ma lungse lun God, liki keok ke sripen kowos oru ma koluk.
18 Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit,
Tuh Christ el misa ke ma koluk pacl sefanna in akfalye pacl nukewa; sie mwet suwohs el misa in aolla mwet sesuwos, tuh elan pwen kowos nu yurin God. Anwuki el in mano, a akmoulyeyuk el in ngun,
19 in whom he also went and preached to the spirits in prison,
ac ke el moul in ngun, el som ac luti nu sin ngun su muta in kapir.
20 who before were disobedient when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ship was being built. In it, few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
Ngun inge ma lun mwet su tia akos God ke El tuh mongfisrasr in tupanulos ke Noah el tuh musai oak soko ah. Mwet oalkosr na su muta in oak soko ah pa tuh moliyukla ke kof uh.
21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Kof se inge akilenyen baptais, su pa mwe molela nu suwos in pacl inge uh. Tia orek in olla fohkfok liki mano, a orek tuh in sie wulela nu sin God ke sulela pwaye lun kais sie mwet. Ma se inge molikowosla ke sripen sifil moulyak lun Jesus Christ,
22 who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.
su sowak tari nu inkusrao ac muta lac po layot sin God. El leum fin lipufan nukewa, ac kain in wal ac ku nukewa yen engyeng uh.
