1 John 2
1 My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.
ஹே ப்ரியபா³லகா: , யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்யத் பாபம்’ ந க்ரியேத தத³ர்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரத்யேதாநி மயா லிக்²யந்தே| யதி³ து கேநாபி பாபம்’ க்ரியதே தர்ஹி பிது: ஸமீபே (அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ஏக: ஸஹாயோ (அ)ர்த²தோ தா⁴ர்ம்மிகோ யீஸு²: க்²ரீஷ்டோ வித்³யதே|
2 And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
ஸ சாஸ்மாகம்’ பாபாநாம்’ ப்ராயஸ்²சித்தம்’ கேவலமஸ்மாகம்’ நஹி கிந்து லிகி²லஸம்’ஸாரஸ்ய பாபாநாம்’ ப்ராயஸ்²சித்தம்’|
3 This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments.
வயம்’ தம்’ ஜாநீம இதி ததீ³யாஜ்ஞாபாலநேநாவக³ச்சா²ம: |
4 One who says, “I know him,” and doesn’t keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him.
அஹம்’ தம்’ ஜாநாமீதி வதி³த்வா யஸ்தஸ்யாஜ்ஞா ந பாலயதி ஸோ (அ)ந்ரு’தவாதீ³ ஸத்யமதஞ்ச தஸ்யாந்தரே ந வித்³யதே|
5 But God’s love has most certainly been perfected in whoever keeps his word. This is how we know that we are in him:
ய: கஸ்²சித் தஸ்ய வாக்யம்’ பாலயதி தஸ்மிந் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரேம ஸத்யரூபேண ஸித்⁴யதி வயம்’ தஸ்மிந் வர்த்தாமஹே தத்³ ஏதேநாவக³ச்சா²ம: |
6 he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.
அஹம்’ தஸ்மிந் திஷ்டா²மீதி யோ க³த³தி தஸ்யேத³ம் உசிதம்’ யத் க்²ரீஷ்டோ யாத்³ரு’க்³ ஆசரிதவாந் ஸோ (அ)பி தாத்³ரு’க்³ ஆசரேத்|
7 Brothers, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning.
ஹே ப்ரியதமா: , யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரத்யஹம்’ நூதநாமாஜ்ஞாம்’ லிகா²மீதி நஹி கிந்த்வாதி³தோ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்லப்³தா⁴ம்’ புராதநாமாஜ்ஞாம்’ லிகா²மி| ஆதி³தோ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்யத்³ வாக்யம்’ ஸ்²ருதம்’ ஸா புராதநாஜ்ஞா|
8 Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light already shines.
புநரபி யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி நூதநாஜ்ஞா மயா லிக்²யத ஏதத³பி தஸ்மிந் யுஷ்மாஸு ச ஸத்யம்’, யதோ (அ)ந்த⁴காரோ வ்யத்யேதி ஸத்யா ஜ்யோதிஸ்²சேதா³நீம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²தே;
9 He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness even until now.
அஹம்’ ஜ்யோதிஷி வர்த்த இதி க³தி³த்வா ய: ஸ்வப்⁴ராதரம்’ த்³வேஷ்டி ஸோ (அ)த்³யாபி தமிஸ்ரே வர்த்ததே|
10 He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him.
ஸ்வப்⁴ராதரி ய: ப்ரீயதே ஸ ஏவ ஜ்யோதிஷி வர்த்ததே விக்⁴நஜநகம்’ கிமபி தஸ்மிந் ந வித்³யதே|
11 But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and doesn’t know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
கிந்து ஸ்வப்⁴ராதரம்’ யோ த்³வேஷ்டி ஸ திமிரே வர்த்ததே திமிரே சரதி ச திமிரேண ச தஸ்ய நயநே (அ)ந்தீ⁴க்ரியேதே தஸ்மாத் க்க யாமீதி ஸ ஜ்ஞாதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி|
12 I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
ஹே ஸி²ஸ²வ: , யூயம்’ தஸ்ய நாம்நா பாபக்ஷமாம்’ ப்ராப்தவந்தஸ்தஸ்மாத்³ அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி லிகா²மி|
13 I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, little children, because you know the Father.
ஹே பிதர: , ய ஆதி³தோ வர்த்தமாநஸ்தம்’ யூயம்’ ஜாநீத² தஸ்மாத்³ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி லிகா²மி| ஹே யுவாந: யூயம்’ பாபத்மாநம்’ ஜிதவந்தஸ்தஸ்மாத்³ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி லிகா²மி| ஹே பா³லகா: , யூயம்’ பிதரம்’ ஜாநீத² தஸ்மாத³ஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி லிகி²தவாந்|
14 I have written to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God remains in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
ஹே பிதர: , ஆதி³தோ யோ வர்த்தமாநஸ்தம்’ யூயம்’ ஜாநீத² தஸ்மாத்³ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி லிகி²தவாந்| ஹே யுவாந: , யூயம்’ ப³லவந்த ஆத்⁴வே, ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய வாக்யஞ்ச யுஷ்மத³ந்தரே வர்ததே பாபாத்மா ச யுஷ்மாபி⁴: பராஜிக்³யே தஸ்மாத்³ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி லிகி²தவாந்|
15 Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
யூயம்’ ஸம்’ஸாரே ஸம்’ஸாரஸ்த²விஷயேஷு ச மா ப்ரீயத்⁴வம்’ ய: ஸம்’ஸாரே ப்ரீயதே தஸ்யாந்தரே பிது: ப்ரேம ந திஷ்ட²தி|
16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.
யத: ஸம்’ஸாரே யத்³யத் ஸ்தி²தம் அர்த²த: ஸா²ரீரிகபா⁴வஸ்யாபி⁴லாஷோ த³ர்ஸ²நேந்த்³ரியஸ்யாபி⁴லாஷோ ஜீவநஸ்ய க³ர்வ்வஸ்²ச ஸர்வ்வமேதத் பித்ரு’தோ ந ஜாயதே கிந்து ஸம்’ஸாரதே³வ|
17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever. (aiōn g165)
ஸம்’ஸாரஸ்ததீ³யாபி⁴லாஷஸ்²ச வ்யத்யேதி கிந்து ய ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யேஷ்டம்’ கரோதி ஸோ (அ)நந்தகாலம்’ யாவத் திஷ்ட²தி| (aiōn g165)
18 Little children, these are the end times, and as you heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen. By this we know that it is the final hour.
ஹே பா³லகா: , ஸே²ஷகாலோ(அ)யம்’, அபரம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டாரிணோபஸ்தா²வ்யமிதி யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்யதா² ஸ்²ருதம்’ ததா² ப³ஹவ: க்²ரீஷ்டாரய உபஸ்தி²தாஸ்தஸ்மாத³யம்’ ஸே²ஷகாலோ(அ)ஸ்தீதி வயம்’ ஜாநீம: |
19 They went out from us, but they didn’t belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have continued with us. But they left, that they might be revealed that none of them belong to us.
தே (அ)ஸ்மந்மத்⁴யாந் நிர்க³தவந்த: கிந்த்வஸ்மதீ³யா நாஸந் யத்³யஸ்மதீ³யா அப⁴விஷ்யந் தர்ஹ்யஸ்மத்ஸங்கே³ (அ)ஸ்தா²ஸ்யந், கிந்து ஸர்வ்வே (அ)ஸ்மதீ³யா ந ஸந்த்யேதஸ்ய ப்ரகாஸ² ஆவஸ்²யக ஆஸீத்|
20 You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.
ய: பவித்ரஸ்தஸ்மாத்³ யூயம் அபி⁴ஷேகம்’ ப்ராப்தவந்தஸ்தேந ஸர்வ்வாணி ஜாநீத²|
21 I have not written to you because you don’t know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.
யூயம்’ ஸத்யமதம்’ ந ஜாநீத² தத்காரணாத்³ அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி லிகி²தவாந் தந்நஹி கிந்து யூயம்’ தத் ஜாநீத² ஸத்யமதாச்ச கிமப்யந்ரு’தவாக்யம்’ நோத்பத்³யதே தத்காரணாதே³வ|
22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
யீஸு²ரபி⁴ஷிக்தஸ்த்ராதேதி யோ நாங்கீ³கரோதி தம்’ விநா கோ (அ)பரோ (அ)ந்ரு’தவாதீ³ ப⁴வேத்? ஸ ஏவ க்²ரீஷ்டாரி ர்ய: பிதரம்’ புத்ரஞ்ச நாங்கீ³கரோதி|
23 Whoever denies the Son doesn’t have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.
ய: கஸ்²சித் புத்ரம்’ நாங்கீ³கரோதி ஸ பிதரமபி ந தா⁴ரயதி யஸ்²ச புத்ரமங்கீ³கரோதி ஸ பிதரமபி தா⁴ரயதி|
24 Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.
ஆதி³தோ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்யத் ஸ்²ருதம்’ தத்³ யுஷ்மாஸு திஷ்ட²து, ஆதி³த: ஸ்²ருதம்’ வாக்யம்’ யதி³ யுஷ்மாஸு திஷ்ட²தி, தர்ஹி யூயமபி புத்ரே பிதரி ச ஸ்தா²ஸ்யத²|
ஸ ச ப்ரதிஜ்ஞயாஸ்மப்⁴யம்’ யத் ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாதவாந் தத்³ அநந்தஜீவநம்’| (aiōnios g166)
26 These things I have written to you concerning those who would lead you astray.
யே ஜநா யுஷ்மாந் ப்⁴ராமயந்தி தாநத்⁴யஹம் இத³ம்’ லிகி²தவாந்|
27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
அபரம்’ யூயம்’ தஸ்மாத்³ யம் அபி⁴ஷேகம்’ ப்ராப்தவந்த: ஸ யுஷ்மாஸு திஷ்ட²தி தத: கோ(அ)பி யத்³ யுஷ்மாந் ஸி²க்ஷயேத் தத்³ அநாவஸ்²யகம்’, ஸ சாபி⁴ஷேகோ யுஷ்மாந் ஸர்வ்வாணி ஸி²க்ஷயதி ஸத்யஸ்²ச ப⁴வதி ந சாதத்²ய: , அத: ஸ யுஷ்மாந் யத்³வத்³ அஸி²க்ஷயத் தத்³வத் தத்ர ஸ்தா²ஸ்யத²|
28 Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
அதஏவ ஹே ப்ரியபா³லகா யூயம்’ தத்ர திஷ்ட²த, ததா² ஸதி ஸ யதா³ ப்ரகாஸி²ஷ்யதே ததா³ வயம்’ ப்ரதிபா⁴ந்விதா ப⁴விஷ்யாம: , தஸ்யாக³மநஸமயே ச தஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாந்ந த்ரபிஷ்யாமஹே|
29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
ஸ தா⁴ர்ம்மிகோ (அ)ஸ்தீதி யதி³ யூயம்’ ஜாநீத² தர்ஹி ய: கஸ்²சித்³ த⁴ர்ம்மாசாரம்’ கரோதி ஸ தஸ்மாத் ஜாத இத்யபி ஜாநீத|
