1 Corinthians 15
1 Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,
Weiter, Brüder, möchte ich euch erinnern an das Evangelium, das ich euch verkündet habe, das ihr auch angenommen habt, in welchem ihr auch stehet,
2 by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
durch das ihr auch Heil empfahet: mit was für einem Wort ich dasselbe euch verkündigt habe, sofern ihr es noch behalten habt - ihr müßtet denn ohne Sinn und Verstand gläubig geworden sein.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
Nämlich: ich habe euch überliefert in erster Linie, wie ich es selbst überkommen habe: daß Christus gestorben ist um unserer Sünden willen nach den Schriften,
4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
und daß er begraben wurde, und daß er auferweckt ist am dritten Tag nach den Schriften,
5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
und daß er erschienen ist dem Kephas, dann den Zwölf.
6 Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers at once, most of whom remain until now, but some have also fallen asleep.
Hernach erschien er mehr als fünfhundert Brüdern auf einmal, von welchen die meisten noch leben, etliche sind entschlafen.
7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,
Hernach erschien er dem Jakobus, dann den sämtlichen Aposteln,
8 and last of all, as to the child born at the wrong time, he appeared to me also.
zuletzt aber von allen gleich als dem verkehrt Geborenen erschien er auch mir.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, who is not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the assembly of God.
Denn ich bin der geringste der Apostel, der ich nicht wert bin Apostel zu heißen, darum weil ich die Gemeinde Gottes verfolgt habe.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am. His grace which was given to me was not futile, but I worked more than all of them; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Aber durch Gottes Gnade bin ich was ich bin, und seine Gnade gegen mich ist nicht umsonst gewesen, sondern ich habe mehr gearbeitet als sie alle, doch nicht ich, sondern die Gnade Gottes mit mir.
11 Whether then it is I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.
Aber ich oder sie - so verkünden wir, und so habt ihr es geglaubt.
12 Now if Christ is preached, that he has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
Wenn es aber von Christus gepredigt wird, daß er von den Toten auferweckt ward, wie kommen denn Leute unter euch dazu, zu sagen, es gebe keine Auferstehung der Toten?
13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised.
Gibt es keine Auferstehung der Toten, dann ist auch Christus nicht auferstanden.
14 If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith also is in vain.
Ist aber Christus nicht auferstanden, so ist es nichts mit unserer Predigt, nichts auch mit eurem Glauben.
15 Yes, we are also found false witnesses of God, because we testified about God that he raised up Christ, whom he didn’t raise up if it is true that the dead are not raised.
Dann stehen aber auch wir da als falsche Zeugen Gottes; haben wir doch wider Gott gezeugt, daß er Christus auferweckt habe, während er ihn nicht auferweckt hat, wenn ja doch keine Toten auferweckt werden sollen.
16 For if the dead aren’t raised, neither has Christ been raised.
Denn werden keine Toten auferweckt, so ist auch Christus nicht auferweckt.
17 If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins.
Ist aber Christus nicht auferweckt, so ist euer Glaube umsonst; ihr seid noch in euren Sünden;
18 Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
dann sind auch verloren, die in Christus entschlafen sind.
19 If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.
Wenn wir nichts haben als die Hoffnung auf Christus in diesem Leben, so sind wir die beklagenswertesten aller Menschen.
20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruit of those who are asleep.
Nun ist aber Christus auferweckt von den Toten als Erstling der Entschlafenen.
21 For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man.
Denn nachdem der Tod kam durch einen Menschen, kommt auch die Auferstehung von den Toten durch einen Menschen.
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
Wie in Adam alle sterben, so werden auch in Christus alle zum Leben kommen.
23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s at his coming.
Aber jeder an seiner Stelle: Christus als der Erstling, hernach die Seinigen bei seiner Ankunft;
24 Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God the Father, when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.
dann das Ende, wenn er Gott dem Vater das Reich übergibt, wenn er vernichtet hat alle Herrschaft, Gewalt und Macht.
25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
Denn er muß König sein, bis er legt alle Feinde ihm unter die Füße.
26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death.
Als letzter Feind wird der Tod vernichtet.
27 For, “He put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when he says, “All things are put in subjection”, it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him.
Denn er hat ihm alles unter die Füße gethan. Wenn es aber heißt, daß ihm alles unterworfen ist, so ist doch klar, daß der nicht miteinbegriffen ist, der ihm alles unterworfen hat.
28 When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son will also himself be subjected to him who subjected all things to him, that God may be all in all.
Ist ihm erst alles unterworfen, dann wird sich auch der Sohn selbst dem unterwerfen, der ihm alles unterworfen hat, auf daß Gott sei alles in allem.
29 Or else what will they do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead aren’t raised at all, why then are they baptized for the dead?
Was sollen sonst die anfangen, die sich für die Toten taufen lassen? Wenn überhaupt keine Toten auferstehen, was soll man sich auch für sie taufen lassen?
30 Why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour?
Und wir, wozu leben wir in Gefahren von einer Stunde zur andern?
31 I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
Täglich ist der Tod vor mir, so wahr ich mich euer rühmen darf, Brüder, in Christus Jesus unserem Herrn.
32 If I fought with animals at Ephesus for human purposes, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, then “let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”
Habe ich in Ephesus nur von Menschen wegen mit den wilden Tieren gekämpft, was habe ich davon? Stehen die Toten nicht auf, so lasset uns essen und trinken, denn morgen sind wir tot.
33 Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”
Lasset euch nicht berücken. Die Sitte gut verdirbt der Umgang schlecht.
34 Wake up righteously and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
Werdet wieder nüchtern, wie es sein soll, und versündiget euch nicht. Es sind da Leute, die kennen Gott nicht; ich sage es euch zur Beschämung.
35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised?” and, “With what kind of body do they come?”
Aber, wird man sagen, wie sollen denn die Toten auferstehen? Mit was für einem Leibe sollen sie denn kommen?
36 You foolish one, that which you yourself sow is not made alive unless it dies.
Du Thor: was du säst, wird nicht lebendig, wenn es nicht stirbt.
37 That which you sow, you don’t sow the body that will be, but a bare grain, maybe of wheat, or of some other kind.
Und wenn du säst, so säst du nicht den Körper, der entstehen soll, sondern ein bloßes Korn, was es ist, von Weizen oder etwas anderem.
38 But God gives it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.
Gott aber gibt ihm den Körper nach seiner Bestimmung, und zwar jedem von den Samen seinen besonderen.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.
Nicht alles, was Fleisch ist, ist das gleiche Fleisch, sondern ein anderes hat der Mensch, ein anderes das Vieh, ein anderes die Vögel, ein anderes die Fische.
40 There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial differs from that of the terrestrial.
So gibt es himmlische Körper und gibt irdische Körper, aber anders ist die Herrlichkeit der himmlischen, anders die der irdischen.
41 There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.
Sie ist eine andere bei der Sonne, eine andere beim Mond, eine andere bei den Sternen; ja Stern und Stern hat jeder die seine.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown perishable; it is raised imperishable.
So ist es nun auch mit der Auferstehung der Toten. Es wird gesät verweslich, auferweckt unverweslich.
43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.
Es wird gesät in Unehren, auferweckt in Herrlichkeit. Es wird gesät in Schwachheit, auferweckt in Kraft.
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is also a spiritual body.
Es wird gesät ein seelischer Leib, auferweckt ein geistlicher Leib. So gut es einen seelischen Leib gibt, gibt es auch einen geistlichen.
45 So also it is written, “The first man Adam became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
So steht auch geschrieben: es ward der erste Mensch Adam zu lebendiger Seele. Der letzte Adam zum lebendig machenden Geist.
46 However, that which is spiritual isn’t first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual.
Nicht das Geistliche kommt zuerst, sondern erst das Seelische, und hernach das Geistliche.
47 The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven.
Der erste Mensch ist von der Erde und irdisch, der zweite Mensch ist vom Himmel.
48 As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
Wie der Irdische ist, so sind auch die Irdischen; und wie der Himmlische, so sind auch die Himmlischen.
49 As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let’s also bear the image of the heavenly.
Und wie wir getragen haben das Bild des Irdischen, so werden wir auch tragen das Bild des Himmlischen.
50 Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can’t inherit God’s Kingdom; neither does the perishable inherit imperishable.
Das aber sage ich, Brüder, daß Fleisch und Blut das Reich Gottes nicht ererben kann, noch erbt die Verwesung die Unverweslichkeit.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,
Siehe, ich sage euch ein Geheimnis: wir werden nicht alle entschlafen, wir werden aber alle verwandelt werden
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.
in einem Nu, in einem Augenblick, mit dem letzten Trompetenstoß. Denn auf einen Trompetenstoß werden die Toten auferweckt werden unverweslich, und wir werden verwandelt werden.
53 For this perishable body must become imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Denn dieses Verwesliche muß Unverweslichkeit anziehen, und dieses Sterbliche Unsterblichkeit.
54 But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
Wenn aber dieses Verwesliche Unverweslichkeit anzieht, und dieses Sterbliche Unsterblichkeit, dann erfüllt sich das Wort, das geschrieben steht: Der Tod ist verzehrt in Sieg.
Tod, wo ist dein Sieg? Tod, wo ist dein Stachel? (Hadēs g86)
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
Der Stachel des Todes aber ist die Sünde, die Stärke der Sünde aber das Gesetz.
57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Gott aber sei Dank, der uns den Sieg gibt durch unsern Herrn Jesus Christus.
58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
So werdet nun fest, meine geliebten Brüder, unerschütterlich, unerschöpflich im Werk des Herrn allezeit, im Bewußtsein, daß eure Mühe im Herrn nicht umsonst ist.
