< 1 Corinthians 14 >

1 Follow after love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
Ya lingi mani mi buama. ya tuadi mani ania, ki lingi mi foŋanma paabu, ama yin ŋanbi ki lingi mi sawalpuama paabu ki cie.
2 For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God, for no one understands, but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries.
Kelima, yua n maadi mi maalanma, ki maadi yeni bi niba ka, ama o maadi yeni U Tienu, kelima nilobá ki gbia lanya maama, foŋanma n cedi ke o maadi yaalidgu bona.
3 But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, exhortation, and consolation.
Yua n pua sawali wani i, o maadi yeni bi nisaalba i, o tundi ba, ki wangi ba o bona niima nni, ki paandi bi pala, ki sɔngdi bi pala.
4 He who speaks in another language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the assembly.
Yua maadi mi maalanma tundi o yuli; yua pua sawali tundi U Tienu nitaanli, ki wangi ba a bona niima nni.
5 Now I desire to have you all speak with other languages, but even more that you would prophesy. For he is greater who prophesies than he who speaks with other languages, unless he interprets, that the assembly may be built up.

6 But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with other languages, what would I profit you unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching?
N naataani, mɔlane, n ya cua i kani, ki maadi mi maalanma, n baa pia i po be ya mayuli i, n yaa maadi ki dɔgdi i po bonli, bii ki waani yi banma, lan yaa ka ki pua yi sawali U Tienu maama po bii ki waani yi banma maama yaa ka?
7 Even lifeless things that make a sound, whether pipe or harp, if they didn’t give a distinction in the sounds, how would it be known what is piped or harped?
Ya bona n ki fo, ki nan pia ku fuugu nani ki yelga yeni ku kogdigu yeni, ya tiendi ya fuugu n ki pia gagdima, bi ba tieni ledi, ki bandi ki yelga n piebi yaali, bii ku kogdigu n pua yaali?
8 For if the trumpet gave an uncertain sound, who would prepare himself for war?
Bi ya piebi li naatunli, ke laa wangi ke li tie tɔbu po, ŋma ba bobni bu tɔbu po?
9 So also you, unless you uttered by the tongue words easy to understand, how would it be known what is spoken? For you would be speaking into the air.
Lan tie maama n yeni yinba mɔno ya po, i ya maadi ke i maama ki gagdi ki ña lan buali maama, bi ba tieni ledi, ki bandi yin maadi yaali? kelima i maadi fanma i.
10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of languages in the world, and none of them is without meaning.
I maabuoli ń yabi ŋanduna nni maama kuli, maabuolu ki ye kaa pia gbadma;
11 If then I don’t know the meaning of the language, I would be to him who speaks a foreigner, and he who speaks would be a foreigner to me.
N ya ki gbia nilo ń maadi ya maama, n baa tie o po nilamo, ke o mo tie n po nilamo.
12 So also you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, seek that you may abound to the building up of the assembly.
Li tie yeni, i mo ya po, nani yin lingi foŋanma paabu yeni, lan ya tie Jesu nitaanli tundma po i, ke i lingi ke yin baa bu boncianla.
13 Therefore let him who speaks in another language pray that he may interpret.
Lani n cedi ke yua maadi mi maalanma ń ya jaandi, ki baa mi maalanma sɔginma paabu.
14 For if I pray in another language, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.
Kelima n ya jaandi mi maalanma nni, n pali ye i jaandi nni, ama n yantiali wani naa pugdi libá kuli.
15 What should I do? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
N ji ba tieni ledi i? N baa jaani n pali nni, ama n baa jaandi yeni n yantiali mo; n baa yiini n pali nni, n go baa yiini yeni n yantiali mo.
16 Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the “Amen” at your giving of thanks, seeing he doesn’t know what you say?
Lani yaa ka, a ya jaandi U Tienu a pali nni, li ba tieni ledi i, yua ye li nitaanli nni ki nan ki bani bonli ń ga Ami! a jaandi po, kelima o nan ki bani ŋan maadi yaali.
17 For you most certainly give thanks well, but the other person is not built up.
ŋan tie ya jaandi mɔni boncianla, ama a lielo ki gbia niima nni.
18 I thank my God, I speak with other languages more than you all.
N jaandi U Tienu yeni min maadi mi maalanma ki cie i kuli;
19 However, in the assembly I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in another language.
Ama li nitaanli nni, n ya maadi maama mu yeni n yantiali, ke mi pia mi bundma, bi jaantieba po, mi cie maalanma tuda piiga.
20 Brothers, don’t be children in thoughts, yet in malice be babies, but in thoughts be mature.
N naataani, da maali mani nani i tie bila yeni; ama, yaali n bia po, yin ya tie bila; ama i maalma nni yin ya tie ya niba n cegdi.
21 In the law it is written, “By men of strange languages and by the lips of strangers I will speak to this people. They won’t even listen to me that way, says the Lord.”
Li diani yiko tili nni, ki yedi: “N ba sɔni maabuoltɔma niba, ki cedi bi nilanba ñɔna ń yaadi ki maadi yeni n buolu, ama, yeni lani kuli, bi naa cengi n maama,” O Diedo ń maadi yaali n yeni.
22 Therefore other languages are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to the unbelieving; but prophesying is for a sign, not to the unbelieving, but to those who believe.
Lanyapo, i maabuoli tie maalma i, ki nan ki nua bi dugkaaba po, ki nua yaaba n ki dugi po. U Tienu maama sawalpuama wani tie maalma ki naa nua yaaba n ki dugi po, ama ki nua yaaba n dugi po.
23 If therefore the whole assembly is assembled together and all speak with other languages, and unlearned or unbelieving people come in, won’t they say that you are crazy?
Lanwani i, Jesu nitaanli nni, bikuli ya maadi mi maalanma, bi nilanba yeni yaaba n da ki dugi Jesu po ya kua bi siiga, bi kan yedi ke bi tie gaada ka aa?
24 But if all prophesy, and someone unbelieving or unlearned comes in, he is reproved by all, and he is judged by all.
Ama bi kuli ya pua sawali, ki wangi U Tienu maama, nilamo bii yua n ki dugi Jesu po ya kua bi siiga, bi ba sia o pali, lani yaa ka bi ba waani o yaali n tie o tuonbiadi,
25 And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed. So he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.
Yaali n tie ŋasiili ki wuo o pali nni ba pibdi, hali wan baa ki labni, ki pugi U Tienu, ki kpaandi ki maadi ke U Tienu ye i siiga.
26 What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, or has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up.
N naataani, ti ji ba tieni ledi i? I ya taani ki ba jaani, bi niba i siiga nni pia i yani ii, maawangkaama aa, bondɔgdikaali ii, maalanma aa, maasɔginkaama aa, yuakuli ń todi ke lan tundi li nitaanli.
27 If any man speaks in another language, let there be two, or at the most three, and in turn; and let one interpret.
Yaaba n maadi mi maalanma ya ye, ki pundi bilie, bitaa, bii ki cie; bikuli ń maadi ki tii, nitiano ń ya ye ki sɔgni ban maadi yaali.
28 But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in the assembly, and let him speak to himself and to God.
Yua ba sɔgni yaa ye, ban ya ŋmini, ke yuakuli ń ya maadi o bá nni yeni U Tienu.
29 Let two or three of the prophets speak, and let the others discern.
Yaali nua bi sawalpuaba po, li buali ke bilie bii bitaa ń maadi, ke yaaba n sieni ń kpaagi ki bandi bi sawali niima nni.
30 But if a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first keep silent.
Yaaba n kaa ki cengi yeni, yendo ya la dɔgdima, yua n bi maadi ń suoni.
31 For you all can prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be exhorted.
Kelima i kuli ba fidi ki pua sawali yendo yendo, lan todi ke i kuli ń baa mi bangma, ke i kuli ń baa mi tundma, ki paagi i pala.
32 The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets,
Bi sawalpuaba n die mi sawalpuama foŋanma.
33 for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints.
Kelima U Tienu ki tie ŋmadli ya tienu ka, ama mi yanduanma Tienu. Nani bi nigagdiŋanba nitaanli nni yeni,
34 Let the wives be quiet in the assemblies, for it has not been permitted for them to be talking except in submission, as the law also says,
Bi puoba ń ya ŋmini li nitaanli nni, kelima baa pia sanu yeni ban maadi; ama ban ya cɔlni nani yiko ń́ bili maama.
35 if they desire to learn anything. “Let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is shameful for a wife to be talking in the assembly.”
Bi ya bua bangma yaali ya po, ban buali bi ciaba denpo; kelima li tie kuali i, ke pua ń ga maama Jesu nitaanli nni.
36 What!? Was it from you that the word of God went out? Or did it come to you alone?
U Tienu maama ñani i denpo yo oo? Bii mi jiidi ki cua yinba baba ya kani yo oo?
37 If any man thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize the things which I write to you, that they are the commandment of the Lord.
Nilo ya maali ke o tie sawalpualo, bii o ya tama ke U Tienu foŋanma ye o niinni, wan ya bani ke min diani i po yaali ne tie O Diedo maabilkaama i,
38 But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.
Ya nilo n yie, ki fali ma, yin ŋa o.
39 Therefore, brothers, desire earnestly to prophesy, and don’t forbid speaking with other languages.
Lanwani i, n naataani, yin ya lingi mi sawalpuama paabu, ki da pani ke ban maadi maalanma.
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
Ama ke bonli kuli ń ya cuoni lan buali maama yeni mi sigdima, ke ŋmadli ki ye.
