1 Corinthians 13
1 If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
౧నేను మనుషుల భాషలతో, దేవదూతల భాషలతో మాట్లాడినా, నాలో ప్రేమ లేకపోతే గణగణలాడే గంటలాగా, మోగే తాళంలాగా ఉంటాను.
2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing.
౨దేవుని మూలంగా ప్రవచించే కృపావరం ఉండి, అన్ని రహస్య సత్యాలూ, సమస్త జ్ఞానమూ నాకు తెలిసి ఉన్నా, కొండలను పెకలించే పరిపూర్ణ విశ్వాసం ఉన్నా, నాలో ప్రేమ లేకపోతే నేను వ్యర్ధమైన వాడినే.
3 If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.
౩పేదల కోసం నా ఆస్తి అంతా ధారపోసినా, నా శరీరాన్ని కాల్చడానికి అప్పగించినా, నాలో ప్రేమ లేకపోతే నాకు ప్రయోజనమేమీ ఉండదు.
4 Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud,
౪ప్రేమలో దీర్ఘశాంతం ఉంది. అది దయ చూపుతుంది. ప్రేమలో అసూయ ఉండదు. అది గొప్పలు చెప్పుకోదు, గర్వంతో మిడిసిపడదు.
5 doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;
౫అమర్యాదగా ప్రవర్తించదు. ప్రేమలో స్వార్ధం ఉండదు. అది త్వరగా కోపం తెచ్చుకోదు, ఎవరైనా అపకారం తలపెడితే మనసులో ఉంచుకోదు.
6 doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
౬ఈ ప్రేమ దుర్నీతి విషయంలో సంతోషించదు, సత్యం విషయంలో సంతోషిస్తుంది.
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
౭అది అన్నిటినీ భరిస్తుంది, అన్నిటినీ నమ్ముతుంది, అన్నిటినీ ఆశతో ఎదురు చూస్తుంది, అన్నిటినీ ఓర్చుకుంటుంది.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are various languages, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
౮ప్రేమకు అంతం లేదు. ప్రవచనాలు వృథా అవుతాయి, భాషలు అంతరిస్తాయి, జ్ఞానం గతించిపోతుంది.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part;
౯ఎందుకంటే మనకు కొంతవరకే తెలుసు. కొంతవరకే ప్రవచిస్తున్నాము.
10 but when that which is complete has come, then that which is partial will be done away with.
౧౦అయితే పరిపూర్ణమైనది వచ్చినప్పుడు పరిపూర్ణం కానివి అంతమైపోతాయి.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things.
౧౧నేను చిన్నవాడిగా ఉన్నప్పుడు చిన్నవాడిలాగానే మాట్లాడాను, చిన్నవాడిలాగానే తర్కించాను. ఇప్పుడు పెద్దవాడినయ్యాక పిల్లచేష్టలు మానేశాను.
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.
౧౨అలాగే ఇప్పుడు అద్దంలో చూస్తున్నట్టు మసకగా చూస్తున్నాం. అప్పుడైతే ముఖాముఖిగా చూస్తాం. ఇప్పుడు నాకు తెలిసింది కొంత మాత్రమే. అప్పుడు దేవుడు నన్ను పూర్తిగా ఎరిగినంత మట్టుకు నేను కూడా పూర్తిగా తెలుసుకుంటాను.
13 But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
౧౩ప్రస్తుతం విశ్వాసం, ఆశాభావం, ప్రేమ ఈ మూడూ నిలిచి ఉన్నాయి. వీటిలో ఉన్నతమైనది ప్రేమే.
