1 Corinthians 13
1 If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
Ngah mina jeng akong nyia rangsah loong jeng taat miijeng ang bah uh, nga ten nah minchan ah lajeeka bah, nga jengkhaap ah nyaam rengtom arah adoleh koonta rengbot likhiik ba ang ah.
2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing.
Nga tiit baat nawa ih mithung jen lektheng ranglakkot taatje abah uh; husah tiit jen jattheng mongtham je abah uh; kong akaan jen nuudat theng laalom ah taatje abah uh— nga jiinnah minchan ah lajeeka bah ngah tiim uh tah angkang.
3 If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.
Nga nyamka thoontang changthih noodek suh taatkoh ang bah uh, nyia nga teewah sakphu ah we nah taat khaam thuk ang bah uh—nga jiinnah minchan ah lajeeka bah, nga raang ih taseeka angka.
4 Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud,
Minchan ah enaan nyia tenthet; miksuh adoleh siikhaam adoleh khuupook tah angka;
5 doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;
minchan ah lajak dangjang tah angka adoleh nyamnyook tah angka adoleh mih ih thichojih tah angka; moongre thetre uh mong ni tathiinka;
6 doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
minchan ah ethih asuh tanookka, amiisak tiit asuh roonla.
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
Minchan ih mabah uh tathiinhaatka; nyia heh tuumaang, laalom, nyia enaan ah mabah uh tamaka ang ah.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are various languages, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
Minchan ah roitang raang. Tenroon thuk theng tiitkhaap loong ah pootsiit raangtaan; lajatjih jeng miijeng lakkot taatje abah uh erah ethoon ih ah; mongtham ah taatje abah uh emat ih ah.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part;
Tiimnge liidi mongtham nyia tenroonjih tiitkhaap lakkot kohali abah pootsiit raangtaan;
10 but when that which is complete has come, then that which is partial will be done away with.
enoothong jirep ah epunthoon angtaano, pootsiit raangtaan angta rah emat ih ah.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things.
Nga noodek doh, ngaajeng ngaakong, nga tenthun loong ah noodek likhiik angta; amadi mihak eh hoon lang, noodek likhiik ngah takah angkang.
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.
Amadi tup hi ah langla samsok adoleh theeri ni laaphaang moonheek heek ih seng laaphaang sok erah likhiik; lidoh bah seng mik ih samkhikhih ih sokmui ih likhiikkhiik ih ang ah. Amadi tiim jat hang erabah amasah ba jat hang; eno lidoh bah sekjat ih wan ang—Rangte ih nga jat halang likhiik ah.
13 But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
