1 Corinthians 12
1 Now concerning spiritual things, brothers, I don’t want you to be ignorant.
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , யூயம்’ யத்³ ஆத்மிகாந் தா³யாந் அநவக³தாஸ்திஷ்ட²த² தத³ஹம்’ நாபி⁴லஷாமி|
2 You know that when you were heathen, you were led away to those mute idols, however you might be led.
பூர்வ்வம்’ பி⁴ந்நஜாதீயா யூயம்’ யத்³வத்³ விநீதாஸ்தத்³வத்³ அவாக்ப்ரதிமாநாம் அநுகா³மிந ஆத்⁴ப³ம் இதி ஜாநீத²|
3 Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God’s Spirit says, “Jesus is accursed.” No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” but by the Holy Spirit.
இதி ஹேதோரஹம்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ நிவேத³யாமி, ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாத்மநா பா⁴ஷமாண: கோ(அ)பி யீஸு²ம்’ ஸ²ப்த இதி ந வ்யாஹரதி, புநஸ்²ச பவித்ரேணாத்மநா விநீதம்’ விநாந்ய: கோ(அ)பி யீஸு²ம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ரிதி வ்யாஹர்த்தும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி|
4 Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.
தா³யா ப³ஹுவிதா⁴: கிந்த்வேக ஆத்மா
5 There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.
பரிசர்ய்யாஸ்²ச ப³ஹுவிதா⁴: கிந்த்வேக: ப்ரபு⁴: |
6 There are various kinds of workings, but the same God who works all things in all.
ஸாத⁴நாநி ப³ஹுவிதா⁴நி கிந்து ஸர்வ்வேஷு ஸர்வ்வஸாத⁴க ஈஸ்²வர ஏக: |
7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.
ஏகைகஸ்மை தஸ்யாத்மநோ த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ பரஹிதார்த²ம்’ தீ³யதே|
8 For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
ஏகஸ்மை தேநாத்மநா ஜ்ஞாநவாக்யம்’ தீ³யதே, அந்யஸ்மை தேநைவாத்மநாதி³ஷ்டம்’ வித்³யாவாக்யம்,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
அந்யஸ்மை தேநைவாத்மநா விஸ்²வாஸ: , அந்யஸ்மை தேநைவாத்மநா ஸ்வாஸ்த்²யதா³நஸ²க்தி: ,
10 and to another workings of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of languages, and to another the interpretation of languages.
அந்யஸ்மை து³: ஸாத்⁴யஸாத⁴நஸ²க்திரந்யஸ்மை சேஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²: , அந்யஸ்மை சாதிமாநுஷிகஸ்யாதே³ஸ²ஸ்ய விசாரஸாமர்த்²யம், அந்யஸ்மை பரபா⁴ஷாபா⁴ஷணஸ²க்திரந்யஸ்மை ச பா⁴ஷார்த²பா⁴ஷணஸாமர்யம்’ தீ³யதே|
11 But the one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.
ஏகேநாத்³விதீயேநாத்மநா யதா²பி⁴லாஷம் ஏகைகஸ்மை ஜநாயைகைகம்’ தா³நம்’ விதரதா தாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி ஸாத்⁴யந்தே|
12 For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.
தே³ஹ ஏக: ஸந்நபி யத்³வத்³ ப³ஹ்வங்க³யுக்தோ ப⁴வதி, தஸ்யைகஸ்ய வபுஷோ (அ)ங்கா³நாம்’ ப³ஹுத்வேந யத்³வத்³ ஏகம்’ வபு ர்ப⁴வதி, தத்³வத் க்²ரீஷ்ட: |
13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink into one Spirit.
யதோ ஹேதோ ர்யிஹூதி³பி⁴ந்நஜாதீயதா³ஸஸ்வதந்த்ரா வயம்’ ஸர்வ்வே மஜ்ஜநேநைகேநாத்மநைகதே³ஹீக்ரு’தா: ஸர்வ்வே சைகாத்மபு⁴க்தா அப⁴வாம|
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
ஏகேநாங்கே³ந வபு ர்ந ப⁴வதி கிந்து ப³ஹுபி⁴: |
15 If the foot would say, “Because I’m not the hand, I’m not part of the body,” it is not therefore not part of the body.
தத்ர சரணம்’ யதி³ வதே³த் நாஹம்’ ஹஸ்தஸ்தஸ்மாத் ஸ²ரீரஸ்ய பா⁴கோ³ நாஸ்மீதி தர்ஹ்யநேந ஸ²ரீராத் தஸ்ய வியோகோ³ ந ப⁴வதி|
16 If the ear would say, “Because I’m not the eye, I’m not part of the body,” it’s not therefore not part of the body.
ஸ்²ரோத்ரம்’ வா யதி³ வதே³த் நாஹம்’ நயநம்’ தஸ்மாத் ஸ²ரீரஸ்யாம்’ஸோ² நாஸ்மீதி தர்ஹ்யநேந ஸ²ரீராத் தஸ்ய வியோகோ³ ந ப⁴வதி|
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?
க்ரு’த்ஸ்நம்’ ஸ²ரீரம்’ யதி³ த³ர்ஸ²நேந்த்³ரியம்’ ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி ஸ்²ரவணேந்த்³ரியம்’ குத்ர ஸ்தா²ஸ்யதி? தத் க்ரு’த்ஸ்நம்’ யதி³ வா ஸ்²ரவணேந்த்³ரியம்’ ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி க்⁴ரணேந்த்³ரியம்’ குத்ர ஸ்தா²ஸ்யதி?
18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body, just as he desired.
கிந்த்விதா³நீம் ஈஸ்²வரேண யதா²பி⁴லஷிதம்’ ததை²வாங்க³ப்ரத்யங்கா³நாம் ஏகைகம்’ ஸ²ரீரே ஸ்தா²பிதம்’|
19 If they were all one member, where would the body be?
தத் க்ரு’த்ஸ்நம்’ யத்³யேகாங்க³ரூபி ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி ஸ²ரீரே குத்ர ஸ்தா²ஸ்யதி?
20 But now they are many members, but one body.
தஸ்மாத்³ அங்கா³நி ப³ஹூநி ஸந்தி ஸ²ரீரம்’ த்வேகமேவ|
21 The eye can’t tell the hand, “I have no need for you,” or again the head to the feet, “I have no need for you.”
அதஏவ த்வயா மம ப்ரயோஜநம்’ நாஸ்தீதி வாசம்’ பாணிம்’ வதி³தும்’ நயநம்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி, ததா² யுவாப்⁴யாம்’ மம ப்ரயோஜநம்’ நாஸ்தீதி மூர்த்³தா⁴ சரணௌ வதி³தும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி: ;
22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.
வஸ்துதஸ்து விக்³ரஹஸ்ய யாந்யங்கா³ந்யஸ்மாபி⁴ ர்து³ர்ப்³ப³லாநி பு³த்⁴யந்தே தாந்யேவ ஸப்ரயோஜநாநி ஸந்தி|
23 Those parts of the body which we think to be less honorable, on those we bestow more abundant honor; and our unpresentable parts have more abundant modesty,
யாநி ச ஸ²ரீரமத்⁴யே(அ)வமந்யாநி பு³த்⁴யதே தாந்யஸ்மாபி⁴ரதி⁴கம்’ ஸோ²ப்⁴யந்தே| யாநி ச குத்³ரு’ஸ்²யாநி தாநி ஸுத்³ரு’ஸ்²யதராணி க்ரியந்தே
24 while our presentable parts have no such need. But God composed the body together, giving more abundant honor to the inferior part,
கிந்து யாநி ஸ்வயம்’ ஸுத்³ரு’ஸ்²யாநி தேஷாம்’ ஸோ²ப⁴நம் நிஷ்ப்ரயோஜநம்’|
25 that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.
ஸ²ரீரமத்⁴யே யத்³ பே⁴தோ³ ந ப⁴வேத் கிந்து ஸர்வ்வாண்யங்கா³நி யத்³ ஐக்யபா⁴வேந ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ ஹிதம்’ சிந்தயந்தி தத³ர்த²ம் ஈஸ்²வரேணாப்ரதா⁴நம் ஆத³ரணீயம்’ க்ரு’த்வா ஸ²ரீரம்’ விரசிதம்’|
26 When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. When one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
தஸ்மாத்³ ஏகஸ்யாங்க³ஸ்ய பீடா³யாம்’ ஜாதாயாம்’ ஸர்வ்வாண்யங்கா³நி தேந ஸஹ பீட்³யந்தே, ஏகஸ்ய ஸமாத³ரே ஜாதே ச ஸர்வ்வாணி தேந ஸஹ ஸம்’ஹ்ரு’ஷ்யந்தி|
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
யூயஞ்ச க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஸ²ரீரம்’, யுஷ்மாகம் ஏகைகஸ்²ச தஸ்யைகைகம் அங்க³ம்’|
28 God has set some in the assembly: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and various kinds of languages.
கேசித் கேசித் ஸமிதாவீஸ்²வரேண ப்ரத²மத: ப்ரேரிதா த்³விதீயத ஈஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²வக்தாரஸ்த்ரு’தீயத உபதே³ஷ்டாரோ நியுக்தா: , தத: பரம்’ கேப்⁴யோ(அ)பி சித்ரகார்ய்யஸாத⁴நஸாமர்த்²யம் அநாமயகரணஸ²க்திருபக்ரு’தௌ லோகஸா²ஸநே வா நைபுண்யம்’ நாநாபா⁴ஷாபா⁴ஷணஸாமர்த்²யம்’ வா தேந வ்யதாரி|
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all miracle workers?
ஸர்வ்வே கிம்’ ப்ரேரிதா: ? ஸர்வ்வே கிம் ஈஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²வக்தார: ? ஸர்வ்வே கிம் உபதே³ஷ்டார: ? ஸர்வ்வே கிம்’ சித்ரகார்ய்யஸாத⁴கா: ?
30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with various languages? Do all interpret?
ஸர்வ்வே கிம் அநாமயகரணஸ²க்தியுக்தா: ? ஸர்வ்வே கிம்’ பரபா⁴ஷாவாதி³ந: ? ஸர்வ்வே வா கிம்’ பரபா⁴ஷார்த²ப்ரகாஸ²கா: ?
31 But earnestly desire the best gifts. Moreover, I show a most excellent way to you.
யூயம்’ ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²தா³யாந் லப்³து⁴ம்’ யதத்⁴வம்’| அநேந யூயம்’ மயா ஸர்வ்வோத்தமமார்க³ம்’ த³ர்ஸ²யிதவ்யா: |
