1 Peter 4

1 Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

౧క్రీస్తు శరీర హింసలు పొందాడు కాబట్టి, మీరు కూడా అలాంటి మనసునే ఆయుధంగా ధరించుకోండి. శరీర హింసలు పొందిన వాడు పాపం చేయడం మానేస్తాడు.

2 that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

౨ఈ వ్యక్తి తన శేష జీవితాన్ని ఇకమీదట మానవ కోరికలను అనుసరించక, దేవుని ఇష్టం కోసమే జీవిస్తాడు.

3 For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

౩యూదేతరులు చేసినట్టు చేయడానికి గతించిన కాలం చాలు. గతంలో మీరు లైంగిక పరమైన అనైతిక కార్యాలూ, చెడ్డ కోరికలు, మద్యపానం, అల్లరి చిల్లరి వినోదాలూ, విచ్చలవిడి విందులూ, నిషిద్ధమైన విగ్రహ పూజలూ చేశారు.

4 They think it is strange that you don’t run with them into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you.

౪వారితోబాటుగా మీరూ ఇలాటి విపరీతమైన తెలివిమాలిన పనులు ఇప్పుడు చేయడం లేదని వారు మిమ్మల్ని వింతగా చూస్తున్నారు. అందుకే వారు మీ గురించి చెడ్డగా చెబుతున్నారు.

5 They will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

౫బతికున్న వారికీ చనిపోయిన వారికీ తీర్పు తీర్చడానికి సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నవాడికి వారు లెక్క అప్పజెప్పాలి.

6 For to this end the Good News was preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed as men in the flesh, but live as to God in the spirit.

౬అందుకే చనిపోయిన వారు మానవ రీతిగా వారి శరీరానికి తీర్పు జరిగినా వారి ఆత్మ దేవునిలో జీవించేలా వారికి కూడా సువార్త ప్రకటించబడింది.

7 But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer.

౭అన్నిటికీ అంతం సమీపించింది. కాబట్టి మెలకువగా, ప్రార్థనల్లో చైతన్య వంతులుగా ఉండండి.

8 And above all things be earnest in your love amongst yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.

౮అన్నిటి కంటే ప్రధానంగా ఒకరిపట్ల ఒకరు గాఢమైన ప్రేమతో ఉండండి. ప్రేమ ఇతరుల పాపాలను వెతికి పట్టుకోడానికి ప్రయత్నించదు.

9 Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.

౯ఏ మాత్రమూ సణుక్కోకుండా ఒకరికొకరు అతిథి సత్కారం చేసుకోండి.

10 As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.

౧౦దేవుని అనేక ఉచిత వరాలకు మంచి నిర్వాహకులుగా ఉంటూ, మీలో ప్రతి ఒక్కడూ కృపావరంగా పొందిన వాటిని ఒకరికొకరికి సేవ చేసుకోడానికి వాడండి.

11 If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

౧౧ఎవరైనా బోధిస్తే, దైవోక్తుల్లా బోధించాలి. ఎవరైనా సేవ చేస్తే దేవుడు అనుగ్రహించే సామర్ధ్యంతో చేయాలి. దేవునికి యేసు క్రీస్తు ద్వారా అన్నిటిలోనూ మహిమ కలుగుతుంది. మహిమ, ప్రభావం ఎప్పటికీ ఆయనకే చెందుతాయి. ఆమేన్‌. (aiōn g165)

12 Beloved, don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you.

౧౨ప్రియులారా, మిమ్మల్ని పరీక్షించడానికి మీకు వచ్చే అగ్నిలాంటి విపత్తును గురించి మీకేదో వింత సంభవిస్తున్నట్టు ఆశ్చర్యపోవద్దు.

13 But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy.

౧౩క్రీస్తు మహిమ వెల్లడి అయ్యేటప్పుడు మీరు మహానందంతో సంతోషించేలా, క్రీస్తు పడిన హింసల్లో మీరు పాలివారైనట్టు ఆనందించండి.

14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.

౧౪క్రీస్తు నామాన్ని బట్టి మిమ్మల్ని ఎవరైనా అవమానిస్తే మీరు ధన్యులు. ఎందుకంటే మహిమా స్వరూపి అయిన ఆత్మ, అంటే దేవుని ఆత్మ మీమీద నిలిచి ఉన్నాడు.

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil doer, or a meddler in other men’s matters.

౧౫మీలో ఎవడూ హంతకుడుగా, దొంగగా, దుర్మార్గుడుగా, పరుల జోలికి పోయేవాడుగా బాధ అనుభవించకూడదు.

16 But if one of you suffers for being a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this matter.

౧౬ఎవరైనా క్రైస్తవుడైనందుకు బాధ అనుభవించవలసి వస్తే సిగ్గు పడకూడదు. ఆ పేరును బట్టి అతడు దేవుణ్ణి మహిమ పరచాలి.

17 For the time has come for judgement to begin with the household of God. If it begins first with us, what will happen to those who don’t obey the Good News of God?

౧౭దేవుని ఇంటి వారికి తీర్పు మొదలయ్యే సమయం వచ్చింది. అది మనతోనే మొదలయితే, దేవుని సువార్తకు లోబడని వారి గతేంటి?

18 “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and the sinner?”

౧౮నీతిమంతుడే రక్షణ పొందడం కష్టమైతే ఇక భక్తిహీనుడు, పాపి సంగతి ఏమిటి?

19 Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator.

౧౯కాబట్టి దేవుని చిత్త ప్రకారం బాధపడే వారు మేలు చేస్తూ నమ్మకమైన సృష్టికర్తకు తమ ఆత్మలను అప్పగించుకోవాలి.
