Psalms 89
1 Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
As benignidades do Senhor cantarei perpetuamente: com a minha bocca manifestarei a tua fidelidade de geração em geração.
2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness wilt thou establish in the very heavens.
Pois disse eu: A tua benignidade será edificada para sempre: tu confirmarás a tua fidelidade até nos céus, dizendo:
3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn to David my servant,
Fiz um concerto com o meu escolhido: jurei ao meu servo David, dizendo:
4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. (Selah)
A tua semente estabelecerei para sempre, e edificarei o teu throno de geração em geração (Selah)
5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD; thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
E os céus louvarão as tuas maravilhas, ó Senhor, a tua fidelidade tambem na congregação dos sanctos.
6 For who in the heaven can be compared to the LORD? [who] among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the LORD?
Pois quem no céu se pode egualar ao Senhor? Quem entre os filhos dos poderosos pode ser similhante ao Senhor?
7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence by all [them that are] about him.
Deus é muito formidavel na assembléa dos sanctos, e para ser reverenciado por todos os que o cercam.
8 O LORD God of hosts, who [is] a strong LORD like to thee? or to thy faithfulness around thee?
Ó Senhor, Deus dos Exercitos, quem é forte como tu, Senhor? pois a tua fidelidade está á roda de ti?
9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when its waves arise, thou stillest them.
Tu dominas o impeto do mar: quando as suas ondas se levantam, tu as fazes aquietar.
10 Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thy enemies with thy strong arm.
Tu quebrantaste a Rahab como se fôra ferida de morte; espalhaste os teus inimigos com o teu braço forte.
11 The heavens [are] thine, the earth also [is] thine: [as for] the world, and the fullness of it, thou hast founded them.
Teus são os céus, e tua é a terra; o mundo e a sua plenitude tu os fundaste.
12 The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
O norte e o sul tu os creaste; Tabor e Hermon jubilam em teu nome.
13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, [and] high is thy right hand.
Tu tens um braço poderoso; forte é a tua mão, e alta está a tua dextra.
14 Justice and judgment [are] the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
Justiça e juizo são o assento do teu throno, misericordia e verdade irão adiante do teu rosto.
15 Blessed [are] the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
Bemaventurado o povo que conhece o som alegre: andará, ó Senhor, na luz da tua face.
16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
Em teu nome se alegrará todo o dia, e na tua justiça se exaltará.
17 For thou [art] the glory of their strength: and in thy favor our horn shall be exalted.
Pois tu és a gloria da sua força; e no teu favor será exaltado o nosso poder.
18 For the LORD [is] our defense; and the Holy One of Israel [is] our king.
Porque o Senhor é a nossa defeza, e o Sancto d'Israel o nosso Rei.
19 Then thou didst speak in vision to thy holy one, and say, I have laid help upon [one that is] mighty; I have exalted [one] chosen out of the people.
Então fallaste em visão ao teu sancto, e disseste: Puz o soccorro sobre um que é poderoso: exaltei a um eleito do povo.
20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
Achei a David, meu servo; com sancto oleo o ungi:
21 With whom my hand shall be established: my arm also shall strengthen him.
Com o qual a minha mão ficará firme, e o meu braço o fortalecerá.
22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
O inimigo não apertará com elle, nem o filho da perversidade o affligirá.
23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and afflict them that hate him.
E eu derribarei os seus inimigos perante a sua face, e ferirei aos que o aborrecem.
24 But my faithfulness and my mercy [shall be] with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
E a minha fidelidade e a minha benignidade estarão com elle; e em meu nome será exaltado o seu poder.
25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
Porei tambem a sua mão no mar, e a sua direita nos rios.
26 He shall cry to me, Thou [art] my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
Elle me chamará, dizendo: Tu és meu pae, meu Deus, e a rocha da minha salvação.
27 Also I will make him [my] first-born, higher than the kings of the earth.
Tambem o farei meu primogenito, mais elevado do que os reis da terra.
28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
A minha benignidade lhe conservarei eu para sempre, e o meu concerto lhe será firme.
29 His seed also will I make [to endure] for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
E conservarei para sempre a sua semente, e o seu throno como os dias do céu.
30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
Se os seus filhos deixarem a minha lei, e não andarem nos meus juizos,
31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
Se profanarem os meus preceitos, e não guardarem os meus mandamentos,
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
Então visitarei a sua transgressão com a vara, e a sua iniquidade com açoites.
33 Nevertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
Porém não retirarei totalmente d'elle a minha benignidade, nem faltarei á minha fidelidade.
34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that hath gone out of my lips.
Não quebrarei o meu concerto, não alterarei o que saiu dos meus labios.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie to David.
Uma vez jurei pela minha sanctidade que não mentirei a David.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
A sua semente durará para sempre, e o seu throno, como o sol diante de mim,
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and [as] a faithful witness in heaven. (Selah)
Será estabelecido para sempre como a lua, e como uma testemunha fiel no céu (Selah)
38 But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thy anointed.
Porém tu rejeitaste e aborreceste; tu te indignaste contra o teu ungido.
39 Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown [by casting it] to the ground.
Abominaste o concerto do teu servo: profanaste a sua corôa, lançando-a por terra.
40 Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
Derribaste todos os seus vallados; arruinaste as suas fortificações.
41 All that pass by the way plunder him: he is a reproach to his neighbors.
Todos os que passam pelo caminho o despojam; é um opprobrio para os seus visinhos.
42 Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
Exaltaste a dextra dos seus adversarios; fizeste com que todos os seus inimigos se regozijassem.
43 Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
Tambem embotaste os fios da sua espada, e não o sustentaste na peleja.
44 Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
Fizeste cessar a sua gloria, e deitaste por terra o seu throno.
45 The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
Abreviaste os dias da sua mocidade; cobriste-o de vergonha (Selah)
46 How long, LORD, wilt thou hide thyself? for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
Até quando, Senhor? Acaso te esconderás para sempre? arderá a tua ira como fogo?
47 Remember how short my time is: why hast thou made all men in vain?
Lembra-te de quão breves são os meus dias; pelo que debalde creaste todos os filhos dos homens.
48 What man [is he that] liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Que homem ha, que viva, e não veja a morte? Livrará elle a sua alma do poder da sepultura? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 LORD, where [are] thy former loving-kindnesses, [which] thou didst swear to David in thy truth?
Senhor, onde estão as tuas antigas benignidades, que juraste a David pela tua verdade?
50 Remember, LORD, the reproach of thy servants; [how] I do bear in my bosom [the reproach of] all the mighty people;
Lembra-te, Senhor, do opprobrio dos teus servos; como eu trago no meu peito o opprobrio de todos os povos poderosos:
51 With which thy enemies have reproached, O LORD; with which they have reproached the footsteps of thy anointed
Com o qual, Senhor, os teus inimigos teem diffamado, com o qual teem diffamado as pisadas do teu ungido.
52 Blessed [be] the LORD for evermore. Amen and amen.
Bemdito seja o Senhor para sempre. Amen, e Amen.
