Psalms 85
1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. LORD, thou hast been favorable to thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
Abençoaste, Senhor, a tua terra: fizeste voltar o captiveiro de Jacob.
2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. (Selah)
Perdoaste a iniquidade do teu povo: cobriste todos os seus peccados. (Selah)
3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath; thou hast turned [thyself] from the fierceness of thy anger.
Fizeste cessar toda a tua indignação: desviaste-te do ardor da tua ira.
4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thy anger towards us to cease.
Torna-nos a trazer, ó Deus da nossa salvação, e faze cessar a tua ira de sobre nós.
5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thy anger to all generations?
Acaso estarás sempre irado contra nós? ou estenderás a tua ira a todas as gerações?
6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
Não tornarás a reviver-nos, para que o teu povo se alegre em ti?
7 Show us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.
Mostra-nos, Senhor, a tua misericordia, e concede-nos a tua salvação.
8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace to his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
Escutarei o que Deus, o Senhor, fallar; porque fallará de paz ao seu povo, e aos sanctos para que não voltem á loucura.
9 Surely his salvation [is] nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.
Certamente que a salvação está perto d'aquelles que o temem, para que a gloria habite na nossa terra.
10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed [each other].
A misericordia e a verdade se encontraram: a justiça e a paz se beijaram.
11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
A verdade brotará da terra, e a justiça olhará desde os céus.
12 Yes, the LORD will give [that which is] good; and our land shall yield her increase.
Tambem o Senhor dará o que é bom, e a nossa terra dará o seu fructo.
13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set [us] in the way of his steps.
A justiça irá adiante d'elle, e a porá no caminho das suas pisadas.
