Psalms 50
1 A Psalm of Asaph. The mighty God, [even] the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising to the setting of the sun.
O Deus poderoso, o Senhor, fallou e chamou a terra desde o nascimento do sol até ao seu occaso.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
Desde Sião, a perfeição da formosura, resplandeceu Deus.
3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous around him.
Virá o nosso Deus, e não se calará; um fogo se irá consumindo diante d'elle, e haverá grande tormenta ao redor d'elle.
4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
Chamará os céus lá do alto, e a terra, para julgar o seu povo.
5 Gather my saints together to me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
Ajuntae-me os meus sanctos, aquelles que fizeram comigo um concerto com sacrificios.
6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God [is] judge himself. (Selah)
E os céus annunciarão a sua justiça; pois Deus mesmo é o Juiz (Selah)
7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I [am] God, [even] thy God.
Ouve, povo meu, e eu fallarei; Ó Israel, e eu protestarei contia ti: Sou Deus, sou o teu Deus.
8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt-offerings, [to have been] continually before me.
Não te reprehenderei pelos teus sacrificios, ou holocaustos, que estão continuamente perante mim.
9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, [nor] he-goats out of thy folds.
Da tua casa não tirarei bezerro nem bodes dos teus curraes.
10 For every beast of the forest [is] mine, [and] the cattle upon a thousand hills.
Porque meu é todo o animal da selva, e o gado sobre milhares de montanhas.
11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field [are] mine.
Conheço todas as aves dos montes; e minhas são todas as feras do campo.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world [is] mine, and the fullness thereof.
Se eu tivesse fome, não t'o diria, pois meu é o mundo e toda a sua plenitude.
13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
Comerei eu carne de toiros? ou beberei sangue de bodes?
14 Offer to God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows to the Most High:
Offerece a Deus sacrificio de louvor, e paga ao Altissimo os teus votos.
15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
E invoca-me no dia da angustia: eu te livrarei, e tu me glorificarás.
16 But to the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or [that] thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
Mas ao impio diz Deus: Que fazes tu em recitar os meus estatutos, e em tomar o meu concerto na tua bocca?
17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
Visto que aborreces a correcção, e lanças as minhas palavras para detraz de ti
18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
Quando vês o ladrão, consentes com elle, e tens a tua parte com adulteros.
19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
Soltas a tua bocca para o mal, e a tua lingua compõe o engano.
20 Thou sittest [and] speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thy own mother's son.
Assentas-te a fallar contra teu irmão; fallas mal contra o filho de tua mãe.
21 These [things] hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether [such an one] as thyself: [but] I will reprove thee, and set [them] in order before thine eyes.
Estas coisas tens feito, e eu me calei; pensavas que era tal como tu; mas eu te arguirei, e as porei por ordem diante dos teus olhos.
22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear [you] in pieces, and [there be] none to deliver.
Ouvi pois isto, vós que vos esqueceis de Deus; para que vos não faça em pedaços, sem haver quem vos livre.
23 Whoever offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth [his] deportment [aright] will I show the salvation of God.
Aquelle que offerece o sacrificio de louvor me glorificará; e áquelle que bem ordena o seu caminho eu mostrarei a salvação de Deus.
