< Psalms 4 >

1 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm of David. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me [when I was] in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
Kad te zovem, èuj me, Bože, pravdo moja! u tjeskobi daj mi prostor; smiluj se na me i usliši molitvu moju.
2 O ye sons of men, how long [will ye turn] my glory into shame? [how long] will ye love vanity, [and] seek after falsehood? (Selah)
Sinovi èovjeèiji! dokle æe slava moja biti u sramoti? dokle æete ljubiti ništavilo i tražiti laži?
3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call to him.
Znajte da Gospod divno èuva svetoga svojega; Gospod èuje kad ga zovem.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
Gnjeveæi se ne griješite; razmislite u srcima svojim na posteljama svojim, i utolite.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
Prinesite žrtvu za pravdu, i uzdajte se u Gospoda.
6 [There are] many that say, Who will show us [any] good? LORD, lift thou upon us the light of thy countenance.
Mnogi govore: ko æe nam pokazati što je dobro? Obrati k nama, Gospode, svijetlo lice svoje.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time [when] their corn and their wine increased.
A meni si dao u srce radost veæu nego što je oni imaju, kad im rodi pšenica i vino.
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for thou only, LORD, makest me dwell in safety.
Ja mirno liježem i spavam; jer ti, Gospode, sam daješ mi te sam bez straha.
