Psalms 35
1 [A Psalm] of David. Plead [my cause], O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
Pleiteia, Senhor, com aquelles que pleiteiam comigo: peleja contra os que pelejam contra mim.
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.
Pega do escudo e da rodela, e levanta-te em minha ajuda.
3 Draw out also the spear, and stop [the way] against them that persecute me: say to my soul, I [am] thy salvation.
Tira da lança e obstroe o caminho aos que me perseguem; dize á minha alma: Eu sou a tua salvação.
4 Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
Sejam confundidos e envergonhados os que buscam a minha vida: voltem atraz e envergonhem-se os que contra mim tentam mal.
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase [them].
Sejam como moinho perante o vento, o anjo do Senhor os faça fugir.
6 Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.
Seja o seu caminho tenebroso e escorregadio, e o anjo do Senhor os persiga.
7 For without cause they have hid for me their net [in] a pit, [which] without cause they have digged for my soul.
Porque sem causa encobriram de mim a rede na cova, a qual sem razão cavaram para a minha alma.
8 Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
Sobrevenha-lhe destruição sem o saber, e prenda-o a rede que occultou; caia elle n'essa mesma destruição.
9 And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
E a minha alma se alegrará no Senhor; alegrar-se-ha na sua salvação.
10 All my bones shall say, LORD, who [is] like thee, who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, even the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?
Todos os meus ossos dirão: Senhor, quem é como tu, que livras o pobre d'aquelle que é mais forte do que elle? sim, o pobre e o necessitado d'aquelle que o rouba.
11 False witnesses arose; they laid to my charge [things] that I knew not.
Falsas testemunhas se levantaram: depozeram contra mim coisas que eu não sabia.
12 They rewarded me evil for good [to] the spoiling of my soul.
Tornaram-me o mal pelo bem, roubando a minha alma.
13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing [was] sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into my own bosom.
Mas, quanto a mim, quando estavam enfermos, o meu vestido era o sacco; humilhava a minha alma com o jejum, e a minha oração voltava para o meu seio.
14 I behaved myself as though [he had been] my friend [or] brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth [for his] mother.
Portava-me como se elle fôra meu irmão ou amigo; andava lamentando e muito encurvado, como quem chora por sua mãe.
15 But in my adversity they rejoiced, and assembled themselves: [yes], the abjects assembled themselves against me, and I knew [it] not; they did tear [me], and ceased not:
Mas elles com a minha adversidade se alegravam e se congregavam: os objectos se congregavam contra mim, e eu não o sabia; rasgavam-me, e não cessavam.
16 With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
Como hypocritas zombadores nas festas, rangiam os dentes contra mim.
17 LORD, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.
Senhor, até quando verás isto? resgata a minha alma das suas assolações, e a minha predilecta dos leões,
18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among many people.
Louvar-te-hei na grande congregação: entre muitissimo povo te celebrarei.
19 Let not them that are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: [neither] let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.
Não se alegrem os meus inimigos de mim sem razão, nem acenem com os olhos aquelles que me aborrecem sem causa.
20 For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against [them that are] quiet in the land.
Pois não fallam de paz; antes projectam enganar os quietos da terra.
21 Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me, [and] said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen [it].
Abrem a bocca de par em par contra mim, e dizem: Ólá, Ólá! os nossos olhos o viram.
22 [This] thou hast seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O LORD, be not far from me.
Tu, Senhor, o tens visto, não te cales: Senhor, não te alongues de mim;
23 Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, [even] to my cause, my God and my LORD.
Desperta e acorda para o meu julgamento, para a minha causa, Deus meu, e Senhor meu.
24 Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
Julga-me segundo a tua justiça, Senhor Deus meu, e não deixes que se alegrem de mim.
25 Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
Não digam em seus corações: Eia, sus, alma nossa: não digam: Nós o havemos devorado.
26 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at my hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify [themselves] against me.
Envergonhem-se e confundam-se á uma os que se alegram com o meu mal; vistam-se de vergonha e de confusão os que se engrandecem contra mim.
27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yes, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, who hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
Cantem e alegrem-se os que amam a minha justiça, e digam continuamente: O Senhor seja engrandecido, o qual ama a prosperidade do seu servo.
28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness [and] of thy praise all the day long.
E assim a minha lingua fallará da tua justiça e do teu louvor todo o dia.
