Psalms 148
1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the hights.
Hvalite Gospoda. Hvalite Gospoda iz nebes, hvalite ga na višavah.
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
Hvalite ga, vsi njegovi angeli, hvalite ga, vse njegove vojske.
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
Hvalita ga, sonce in luna, hvalite ga vse ve zvezdne luči.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that [are] above the heavens.
Hvalite ga, ve nebes nebesa in ve vode, ki ste nad nebom.
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
Naj hvalijo Gospodovo ime, kajti ukazal je in bili so ustvarjeni.
6 He hath also established them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
Tudi njih je utrdil na veke vekov; naredil je odlok, ki ne bo minil.
7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
Hvalite Gospoda z zemlje, vi zmaji in vse globine,
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapors; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
ogenj in toča, sneg in meglica, viharni veter, izpolnjujoč njegovo besedo,
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
gore in vsi hribi, rodovitna drevesa in vse cedre,
10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping animals, and flying fowl:
živali in vsa živina, plazeče stvari in leteča perjad,
11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
kralji zemlje in vsi ljudje, princi in vsi zemeljski sodniki,
12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
tako mladeniči kakor mladenke, starci in otroci;
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory [is] above the earth and heaven.
naj hvalijo Gospodovo ime, kajti njegovo ime samó je odlično; njegova slava je nad zemljo in nebom.
14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; [even] of the children of Israel, a people near to him. Praise ye the LORD.
Povišuje tudi rog svojega ljudstva, hvalo vseh njegovih svetih, celó Izraelovih otrok, ljudstva blizu njemu. Hvalite Gospoda.
