Psalms 146

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

Louvae ao Senhor. Ó alma minha, louva ao Senhor.

2 While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.

Louvarei ao Senhor durante a minha vida; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus emquanto eu fôr vivo.

3 Put not your trust in princes, [nor] in the son of man, in whom [there is] no help.

Não confieis em principes, nem no filho do homem, em quem não ha salvação.

4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

Sae-lhe o espirito, volta para a terra: n'aquelle mesmo dia perecem os seus pensamentos.

5 Happy [is he] that [hath] the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope [is] in the LORD his God:

Bemaventurado aquelle que tem o Deus de Jacob por seu auxilio, e cuja esperança está posta no Senhor seu Deus.

6 Who made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that [is] in them: who keepeth truth for ever:

O que fez os céus e a terra, o mar e tudo quanto ha n'elles, e o que guarda a verdade para sempre;

7 Who executeth judgment for the oppressed: who giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:

O que faz justiça aos opprimidos, o que dá pão aos famintos. O Senhor solta os encarcerados.

8 The LORD openeth [the eyes of] the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:

O Senhor abre os olhos aos cegos: O Senhor levanta os abatidos: o Senhor ama os justos.

9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

O Senhor guarda os estrangeiros: sustem o orphão e a viuva, mas transtorna o caminho dos impios.

10 The LORD will reign for ever, [even] thy God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise ye the LORD.

O Senhor reinará eternamente; o teu Deus, ó Sião, é de geração em geração. Louvae ao Senhor.
