Psalms 104
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honor and majesty.
Bemdize, ó alma minha, ao Senhor: Senhor Deus meu, tu és magnificentissimo, estás vestido de gloria e de magestade.
2 Who coverest [thyself] with light as [with] a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
Elle se cobre de luz como de um vestido, estende os céus como uma cortina.
3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
Põe nas aguas as vigas das suas camaras; faz das nuvens o seu carro, anda sobre as azas do vento.
4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
Faz dos seus anjos espiritos, dos seus ministros um fogo abrazador.
5 [Who] laid the foundations of the earth, [that] it should not be removed for ever.
Lançou os fundamentos da terra, para que não vacille em tempo algum.
6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as [with] a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.
Tu a cobres com o abysmo, como com um vestido: as aguas estavam sobre os montes.
7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
Á tua reprehensão fugiram: á voz do teu trovão se apressaram.
8 They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys to the place which thou hast founded for them.
Sobem aos montes, descem aos valles, até ao logar que para ellas fundaste.
9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
Termo lhes pozeste, que não ultrapassarão, para que não tornem mais a cobrir a terra.
10 He sendeth the springs into the valleys, [which] run among the hills.
Tu, que fazes sair as fontes nos valles, as quaes correm entre os montes.
11 They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.
Dão de beber a todo o animal do campo; os jumentos montezes matam a sua sêde.
12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, [which] sing among the branches.
Junto d'ellas as aves do céu terão a sua habitação, cantando entre os ramos.
13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
Elle rega os montes desde as suas camaras: a terra se farta do fructo das suas obras.
14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
Faz crescer a herva para as bestas, e a verdura para o serviço do homem, para fazer sair da terra o pão,
15 And wine [that] maketh glad the heart of man, [and] oil to make [his] face to shine, and bread [which] strengtheneth man's heart.
E o vinho que alegra o coração do homem, e o azeite que faz reluzir o seu rosto, e o pão que fortalece o coração do homem.
16 The trees of the LORD are full [of sap]; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
As arvores do Senhor fartam-se de seiva, os cedros do Libano que elle plantou,
17 Where the birds make their nests: [as for] the stork, the fir-trees [are] her house.
Onde as aves se aninham: emquanto á cegonha, a sua casa é nas faias.
18 The high hills [are] a refuge for the wild goats; [and] the rocks for the conies.
Os altos montes são um refugio para as cabras montezes, e as rochas para os coelhos.
19 He appointeth the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
Designou a lua para as estações: o sol conhece o seu occaso.
20 Thou makest darkness, and it is night: in which all the beasts of the forest do creep [forth].
Ordenas a escuridão, e faz-se noite, na qual saem todos os animaes da selva.
21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
Os leõesinhos bramam pela preza, e de Deus buscam o seu sustento.
22 The sun ariseth, they collect, and lay themselves down in their dens.
Nasce o sol e logo se acolhem, e se deitam nos seus covis.
23 Man goeth forth to his work and to his labor until the evening.
Então sae o homem á sua obra e ao seu trabalho, até á tarde.
24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
Ó Senhor, quão variadas são as tuas obras! todas as coisas fizeste com sabedoria; cheia está a terra das tuas riquezas.
25 [So is] this great and wide sea, in which [are] creeping animals innumerable, both small and great beasts.
Assim é este mar grande e muito espaçoso, onde ha reptis sem numero, animaes pequenos e grandes.
26 There go the ships: [there is] that leviathan, [which] thou hast made to play therein.
Ali andam os navios; e o leviathan que formaste para n'elle folgar.
27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give [them] their food in due season.
Todos esperam de ti, que lhes dês o seu sustento em tempo opportuno.
28 [That which] thou givest them, they gather: thou openest thy hand, they are filled with good.
Dando-lh'o tu, elles o recolhem; abres a tua mão, e se enchem de bens.
29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.
Escondes o teu rosto, e ficam perturbados: se lhes tiras o folego, morrem, e voltam para o seu pó.
30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
Envias o teu Espirito, e são creados, e assim renovas a face da terra.
31 The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.
A gloria do Senhor durará para sempre: o Senhor se alegrará nas suas obras.
32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
Olhando elle para a terra, ella treme; tocando nos montes, logo fumegam.
33 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Cantarei ao Senhor emquanto eu viver; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus, emquanto eu tiver existencia.
34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
A minha meditação ácerca d'elle será suave: eu me alegrarei no Senhor.
35 Let sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.
Desçam da terra os peccadores, e os impios não sejam mais. Bemdize, ó alma minha, ao Senhor. Louvae ao Senhor.
