John 13
1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
൧താൻ ഈ ലോകം വിട്ടു പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുവാനുള്ള നാഴിക വന്നു എന്നു പെസഹാ പെരുന്നാളിന് മുമ്പെ യേശു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ട്, ലോകത്തിൽ തനിക്കു സ്വന്തമായവരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു; അവസാനത്തോളം അവരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു.
2 And supper being ended (the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's [son], to betray him; )
൨അത്താഴം ആയപ്പോൾ പിശാച്, ശിമോന്റെ മകനായ യൂദാ ഈസ്കര്യോത്താവിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ യേശുവിനെ ഒറ്റികൊടുക്കുവാൻ തോന്നിച്ചിരുന്നു;
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God, and was going to God;
൩പിതാവ് സകലവും തന്റെ കയ്യിൽ തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും താൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്ന് വന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുന്നു എന്നും യേശു അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
൪അവൻ അത്താഴത്തിൽ നിന്നു എഴുന്നേറ്റ് മേൽവസ്ത്രം ഊരിവച്ച് ഒരു തുവർത്ത് എടുത്തു അരയിൽ ചുറ്റി
5 After that, he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples feet, and to wipe [them] with the towel with which he was girded.
൫ഒരു പാത്രത്തിൽ വെള്ളം പകർന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ കാൽ കഴുകുവാനും അരയിൽ ചുറ്റിയിരുന്ന തുണികൊണ്ട് തുവർത്തുവാനും തുടങ്ങി.
6 Then he cometh to Simon Peter: and Peter saith to him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
൬അവൻ ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ അവനോട്: കർത്താവേ, നീ എന്റെ കാൽ കഴുകുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
7 Jesus answered and said to him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
൭യേശു അവനോട്: ഞാൻ ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്തെന്ന് നീ ഇപ്പോൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല; എന്നാൽ പിന്നീട് അറിയും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
8 Peter saith to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. (aiōn g165)
൮നീ ഒരുനാളും എന്റെ കാൽ കഴുകുകയില്ല എന്നു പത്രൊസ് പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന് യേശു: ഞാൻ നിന്നെ കഴുകാഞ്ഞാൽ നിനക്ക് എന്നോടുകൂടെ പങ്കില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ്: (aiōn g165)
9 Simon Peter saith to him, Lord, not my feet only, but also [my] hands and [my] head.
൯കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ കാൽ മാത്രമല്ല കയ്യും തലയും കൂടെ കഴുകേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash [his] feet, but is wholly clean: and ye are clean, but not all.
൧൦യേശു അവനോട്: കുളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവന് കാൽ അല്ലാതെ കഴുകുവാൻ ആവശ്യം ഇല്ല; അവൻ മുഴുവനും ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവൻ; നിങ്ങൾ ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവർ ആകുന്നു; എല്ലാവരും അല്ലതാനും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
11 For he knew who would betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
൧൧തന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവൻ ആരാണെന്ന് യേശു അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടാണ് നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞത്.
12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said to them, Know ye what I have done to you?
൧൨അവൻ അവരുടെ കാൽ കഴുകിയിട്ട് വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു വീണ്ടും ഇരുന്ന് അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ചെയ്തതു എന്താണെന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവോ?
13 Ye call me Master, and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am.
൧൩നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ഗുരുവെന്നും കർത്താവെന്നും വിളിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അങ്ങനെ ആകകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നത് ശരി.
14 If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
൧൪കർത്താവും ഗുരുവുമായ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ കാൽ കഴുകി എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളും തമ്മിൽതമ്മിൽ കാൽ കഴുകേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
൧൫ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു മാതൃക തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
16 Verily, verily, I say to you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
൧൬ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: ദാസൻ യജമാനനേക്കാൾ വലിയവൻ അല്ല; അയയ്ക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ തന്നെ അയച്ചവനെക്കാൾ വലിയവനുമല്ല.
17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
൧൭ഇതു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവയെ ചെയ്താൽ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.
18 I speak not of you all; I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me, hath lifted up his heel against me.
൧൮ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കുറിച്ച് പറയുന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തവരെ ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; എന്നാൽ “എന്റെ അപ്പം തിന്നുന്നവൻ എന്റെ നേരെ കുതികാൽ ഉയർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തിന് നിവൃത്തി വരേണ്ടതിനാകുന്നു ഞാൻ ഇതു പറയുന്നത്.
19 Now I tell you before it cometh, that when it hath come to pass, ye may believe that I am [he].
൧൯അത് സംഭവിക്കുമ്പോൾ “ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു” എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ അത് സംഭവിക്കുംമുമ്പെ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
20 Verily, verily, I say to you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send, receiveth me; and he that receiveth me, receiveth him that sent me.
൨൦ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: ഞാൻ അയയ്ക്കുന്നവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവൻ എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവൻ എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു.
21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you will betray me.
൨൧ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് യേശു ഉള്ളം കലങ്ങി: ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുവൻ എന്നെ ഒറ്റികൊടുക്കും എന്നു സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke.
൨൨ഇതു ആരെക്കുറിച്ച് പറയുന്നു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാർ സംശയിച്ചു തമ്മിൽതമ്മിൽ നോക്കി.
23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom, one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
൨൩ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ വെച്ച് യേശു സ്നേഹിച്ച ഒരുവൻ യേശുവിന്റെ മാർവ്വിടത്തു ചാരിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, to ask who it should be of whom he spoke.
൨൪ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ് അവനോട് ആംഗ്യം കാട്ടി, അവൻ പറഞ്ഞത് ആരെക്കുറിച്ച് എന്നു ചോദിപ്പാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
25 He then lying on Jesus' breast, saith to him, Lord, who is it?
൨൫അവൻ യേശുവിന്റെ നെഞ്ചോട് ചാഞ്ഞു: കർത്താവേ, അത് ആർ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
26 Jesus answered, He it is to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped [it]. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave [it] to Judas Iscariot, [the son] of Simon.
൨൬ഞാൻ അപ്പക്കഷണം മുക്കി കൊടുക്കുന്നവൻതന്നെ എന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു; അപ്പക്കഷണം മുക്കി ശിമോൻ ഈസ്കര്യോത്താവിന്റെ മകനായ യൂദയ്ക്ക് കൊടുത്തു.
27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus to him, What thou doest, do quickly.
൨൭അപ്പം വാങ്ങിയതിനുശേഷം സാത്താൻ അവനിൽ കടന്നു; യേശു അവനോട്: നീ ചെയ്യാനിരിക്കുന്നത് വേഗത്തിൽ ചെയ്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spoke this to him.
൨൮എന്നാൽ ഇതു അവനോട് എന്തിന് പറഞ്ഞുവെന്ന് പന്തിയിൽ ഇരുന്നവരിൽ ആരും അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.
29 For some [of them] thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said to him, Buy [those things] that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
൨൯പണസഞ്ചി യൂദയുടെ പക്കൽ ആകയാൽ പെരുന്നാളിന് നമുക്ക് ആവശ്യമുള്ളതു വാങ്ങുവാനോ ദരിദ്രർക്ക് വല്ലതും കൊടുക്കുവാനോ യേശു അവനോട് കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചിലർക്കു തോന്നി.
30 He then having received the sop, went immediately out: and it was night.
൩൦അപ്പം വാങ്ങിയ ഉടനെ അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റുപോയി, അപ്പോൾ രാത്രി ആയിരുന്നു.
31 Therefore when he had gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
൩൧അവൻ പോയശേഷം യേശു പറഞ്ഞത്: ഇപ്പോൾ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മഹത്വപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവവും അവനിൽ മഹത്വപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു;
32 If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and will immediately glorify him.
൩൨ദൈവം അവനിൽ മഹത്വപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ദൈവം അവനെ തന്നിൽതന്നേ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും; ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവനെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.
33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye will seek me: and, as I said to the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
൩൩കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ, ഞാൻ ഇനി കുറച്ചുസമയംകൂടി മാത്രം നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും; ഞാൻ പോകുന്ന ഇടത്ത് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വരുവാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ യെഹൂദന്മാരോട് പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഇന്ന് നിങ്ങളോടും പറയുന്നു.
34 A new commandment I give to you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
൩൪നിങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽതമ്മിൽ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം എന്നു പുതിയൊരു കല്പന ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തരുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളും തമ്മിൽതമ്മിൽ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം എന്നു തന്നേ.
35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
൩൫നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തമ്മിൽതമ്മിൽ സ്നേഹം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ എന്നു എല്ലാവരും അറിയും.
36 Simon Peter said to him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterward.
൩൬ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ് അവനോട്: കർത്താവേ, നീ എവിടെ പോകുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്: ഞാൻ പോകുന്ന ഇടത്തേക്ക് നിനക്ക് ഇപ്പോൾ എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല; പിന്നത്തേതിൽ നീ എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കും എന്നു യേശു അവനോട് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
37 Peter said to him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.
൩൭പത്രൊസ് അവനോട്: കർത്താവേ, ഇപ്പോൾ എനിക്ക് നിന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാത്തത് എന്ത്? ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജീവനെ നിനക്ക് വേണ്ടി വെച്ചുകളയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
38 Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say to thee, The cock will not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.
൩൮അതിന് യേശു: നിന്റെ ജീവനെ എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി വെച്ചുകളയുമോ? ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പറയുന്നു: നീ മൂന്നുപ്രാവശ്യം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയുവോളം കോഴി കൂകുകയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
