Job 12
1 And Job answered and said,
೧ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೋಬನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು,
2 No doubt but ye [are] the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
೨“ಹೌದು, ನೀವೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು; ಜ್ಞಾನವು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಡನೆಯೇ ಸಾಯುವುದು, ನಿಜ.
3 But I have understanding as well as you; I [am] not inferior to you: yes, who knoweth not such things as these?
೩ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆ ನನಗೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯುಂಟು, ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ನಾನು ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲ. ಇಂಥವು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ತಾನೇ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.
4 I am [as] one mocked by his neighbor, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright [man is] derided.
೪ನಾನು ಗೆಳೆಯನ ಗೇಲಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ! ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದೆನಲ್ಲಾ, ಆತನು ಲಾಲಿಸಿದನಲ್ಲಾ, ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ, ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯೂ ಆದವನು ಹಾಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಪದನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
5 He that is ready to slip with [his] feet [is as] a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
೫ಆಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವವರು ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯರೆಂಬುದು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿಂದಿರುವವನ ಯೋಚನೆ; ಜಾರಿ ಬಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಅಪಮಾನವು ಕಾದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth [abundantly].
೬ಕಳ್ಳರ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಾದರೋ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವವು, ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನೇ ದೇವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವವರು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವರು.
7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
೭ಆದರೆ ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸು, ನಿನಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುವವು; ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವವು;
8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare to thee.
೮ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸು, ನಿನಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುವುದು; ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೀನುಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವವು.
9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
೯ಈ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೈಯೇ ಸಕಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ತಾನೇ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ?
10 In whose hand [is] the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
೧೦ಪ್ರತಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಣವು, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಆತ್ಮಗಳೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವು.
11 Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste its food?
೧೧ಬಾಯಿಯು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ರುಚಿ ನೋಡುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕಿವಿಯು ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸುತ್ತದಲ್ಲಾ.
12 With the ancient [is] wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
೧೨ಜ್ಞಾನವು ವೃದ್ಧರಲ್ಲೇ ಅಡಗಿದೆಯೋ? ದಿರ್ಘಾಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವೇಕವಿದೆ.
13 With him [is] wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.
೧೩ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಉಂಟು, ಆಲೋಚನೆಯೂ, ವಿವೇಕವೂ ಆತನವೇ.
14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
೧೪ಇಗೋ, ಯಾರೂ ಕಟ್ಟದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುವನು, ಯಾರೂ ಬಿಡಿಸದಂತೆ ಸೆರೆಹಾಕುವನು.
15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
೧೫ನೋಡಿರಿ, ಆತನು ನೀರುಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆದರೆ ಅವು ಬತ್ತಿಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ; ಆತನು ನೀರುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ, ಅವು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
16 With him [is] strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver [are] his.
೧೬ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವೂ, ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವೂ ಉಂಟು; ತಪ್ಪಿದವನೂ, ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದವನೂ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅಧೀನರಾಗಿರುವರು.
17 He leadeth counselors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.
೧೭ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಲಿಗೆಮಾಡಿ ಸಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವನು, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಚ್ಚರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವನು.
18 He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.
೧೮ಅರಸರು ಹಾಕಿದ ಬಂಧನವನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಸೊಂಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಯುವನು.
19 He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.
೧೯ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಸುಲಿಗೆಮಾಡಿ ಸಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವನು, ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನು ದೊಬ್ಬಿಬಿಡುವನು.
20 He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.
೨೦ಆಲೋಚನಾಕರ್ತರ ವಾಕ್ಚಾತುರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಹಿರಿಯರ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವನು.
21 He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.
೨೧ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಸಡಿಲಿಸುವನು.
22 He revealeth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth to light the shades of death.
೨೨ಅಗಾಧ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಲೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬಯಲಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಗಾಢಾಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಗೊಳಿಸುವನು.
23 He increaseth nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth nations, and straiteneth them [again].
೨೩ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವನು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ ಗಡೀಪಾರುಮಾಡುವನು.
24 He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness [where there is] no way.
೨೪ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಮುಖರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ತೊಲಗಿಸಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ದಾರಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿಸುವನು.
25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like [a] drunken [man].
೨೫ಅವರು ಬೆಳಕಿಲ್ಲದ ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿ ತಡಕಾಡುವರು; ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಮಲೇರಿದವರಂತೆ ಓಲಾಡಿಸಿ ತಡವರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನು.”
