Isaiah 5
1 Now will I sing to my well-beloved a song of my beloved concerning his vineyard. My well-beloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:
Agora cantarei ao meu amado o cantico do meu bem querido da sua vinha. O meu amado tem uma vinha n'um outeiro fertil.
2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones of it, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a wine-press therein: and he expected that it would bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
E a cercou, e a limpou das pedras, e a plantou d'excellentes vides; e edificou no meio d'ella uma torre, e tambem fundou n'ella um lagar; e esperava que desse uvas boas, porém deu uvas bravas.
3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
Agora pois, ó moradores de Jerusalem, e homens de Judah, julgae, vos peço, entre mim e a minha vinha.
4 What more could have been done to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I expected that it would bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
Que mais se podia fazer á minha vinha, que eu lhe não tenha feito? como, esperando eu que desse uvas boas, veiu a dar uvas bravas?
5 And now come; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; [and] break down the wall of it, and it shall be trodden down:
Agora pois vos farei saber o que eu hei de fazer á minha vinha: tirarei a sua cerca, para que sirva de pasto; derribarei a sua parede, para que seja pisada;
6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
E a tornarei em deserto; não será podada nem cavada; porém crescerão n'ella sarças e espinheiros; e ás nuvens darei ordem que não chovam chuva sobre ella.
7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts [is] the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
Porque a vinha do Senhor dos Exercitos é a casa d'Israel, e os homens de Judah são a planta das suas delicias: e esperou que fizesse juizo, e eis aqui é oppressão; justiça, e eis aqui clamor.
8 Woe to them that join house to house, [that] lay field to field, till [there is] no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!
Ai dos que ajuntam casa a casa, achegam herdade a herdade, até que não haja mais logar, e só vós fiqueis os moradores no meio da terra!
9 In my ears [said] the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, [even] great and fair, without inhabitant.
Nos meus ouvidos estão estas coisas, disse o Senhor dos Exercitos: em verdade que muitas casas se tornarão em deserto, as grandes e excellentes sem moradores.
10 Yes, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of a homer shall yield an ephah.
E dez geiras de vinha não darão mais do que um batho: e um homer de semente não dará mais do que um efa
11 Woe to them that rise early in the morning, [that] they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, [till] wine inflameth them!
Ai dos que se levantam pela manhã, e seguiram a bebedice; e se deteem ali até á noite, até que o vinho os esquenta!
12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.
E harpas e alaudes, tamboris e gaitas, e vinho ha nos seus banquetes; e não olham para a obra do Senhor, nem consideram as obras das suas mãos.
13 Therefore my people have gone into captivity, because [they have] no knowledge: and their honorable men [are] famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
Portanto o meu povo será levado captivo, porque não tem entendimento; e os seus nobres terão fome, e a sua multidão se seccará de sêde
14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. (Sheol h7585)
Portanto a sepultura grandemente se alargou, e se abriu a sua bocca desmesuradamente; e a gloria d'elles, e a sua multidão, com o seu arruido, e com os que galhofam a ella desceram. (Sheol h7585)
15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be abased.
Então o plebeu se abaterá, e o nobre se humilhará; e os olhos dos altivos se humilharão.
16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
Porém o Senhor dos Exercitos será exaltado com juizo; e Deus, o Sancto, será sanctificado com justiça.
17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.
Então os cordeiros pastarão como de costume, e os estranhos comerão dos logares assolados dos gordos.
18 Woe to them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart-rope:
Ai dos que puxam pela iniquidade com cordas de vaidade, e pelo peccado como com cordagens de carros!
19 That say, Let him make speed, [and] hasten his work, that we may see [it]: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know [it]!
E dizem: Avie-se já com isso, e acabe a sua obra, para que já a vejamos; e achegue-se e venha já o conselho do Sancto de Israel, para que o venhamos a saber.
20 Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Ai dos que ao mal chamam bem, e ao bem mal: que fazem das escuridades luz, e da luz escuridades; e fazem do amargoso doce, e do doce amargoso!
21 Woe to [them that are] wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Ai dos que são sabios a seus proprios olhos, e prudentes em si mesmos!
22 Woe to [them that are] mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
Ai dos que são poderosos para beber vinho, e varões fortes para misturar bebida forte:
23 Who justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
Dos que justificam ao impio por peitas, e da justiça dos justos se desviam!
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, [so] their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Pelo que como a lingua do fogo consome a estopa, e a palha se desfaz pela chamma, assim será a sua raiz como podridão, e a sua flor se esvaecerá como pó: porquanto rejeitaram a lei do Senhor dos Exercitos, e desprezaram a palavra do Sancto de Israel.
25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills trembled, and their carcasses [were] torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.
Pelo que se accendeu a ira do Senhor contra o seu povo, e estendeu a sua mão contra elle, e o feriu, de modo que as montanhas tremeram, e os seus cadaveres foram como immundicia pelo meio das ruas: com tudo isto não tornou atraz a sua ira, antes ainda está alçada a sua mão
26 And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from afar, and will hiss to them from the end of the earth: and behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
Porque arvorará o estandarte entre as nações de longe, e lhes assobiará a que venham desde a extremidade da terra: e eis que virão apressurada e ligeiramente.
27 None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
Não haverá entre elles cançado, nem tropeçante; ninguem tosquenejará nem dormirá: nem se lhe desatará o cinto dos seus lombos, nem se lhe quebrará a correia dos seus sapatos
28 Whose arrows [are] sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:
As suas frechas serão agudas, e todos os seus arcos entezados: as unhas dos seus cavallos serão tidas na conta de penha, e as rodas dos seus carros como redemoinho de vento.
29 Their roaring [shall be] like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yes, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry [it] away safe, and none shall deliver [it].
O seu bramido será como o do leão: bramarão como filhos de leão, e rugirão, e arrebatarão a preza, e a levarão, e redemptor não haverá.
30 And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if [one] looketh to the land, behold darkness [and] sorrow, and the light is darkened in its heavens.
E bramarão contra elles n'aquelle dia, como o bramido do mar: então olharão para a terra, e eis aqui trevas e ancia, e a luz se escurecerá em suas assolações.
