Hosea 6
1 Come, and let us return to the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
Kommt, und lasset uns zurückkehren zu Jehovah; denn Er hat zerfleischt, und Er wird uns heilen; Er schlug, und Er wird uns verbinden.
2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day will he raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
Er macht uns lebendig nach zwei Tagen, am dritten Tage richtet Er uns auf, auf daß wir vor Ihm leben.
3 Then shall we know, [if] we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he will come to us as the rain, as the latter [and] former rain to the earth.
Und lasset uns erkennen, und lasset uns nachjagen, zu erkennen Jehovah; wie die Morgenröte ist bereitet Sein Ausgang, und wie der Regen kommt Er zu uns, wie der Spätregen, der das Land feuchtet.
4 O Ephraim, what shall I do to thee? O Judah, what shall I do to thee? for your goodness [is] as the morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.
Was soll Ich dir tun, Ephraim? Was soll Ich dir tun, Jehudah? Und eure Barmherzigkeit ist wie die Wolke des Mor- gens, und wie der Tau, der in der Früh fortgeht.
5 Therefore have I hewed [them] by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments [are as] the light [that] goeth forth.
Darum haue Ich unter die Propheten und erwürge sie durch Meines Mundes Reden, und deine Gerichte sind ein Licht, das ausgeht.
6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice: and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.
Denn an Barmherzigkeit habe Ich Lust und nicht am Opfer, und an der Erkenntnis Gottes mehr, denn am Brandopfer.
7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
Und sie haben gleich Adam den Bund übertreten, da wurden sie Mir untreu.
8 Gilead [is] a city of them that work iniquity, [and is] polluted with blood.
Gilead ist die Hauptstadt derer, die Missetat tun, mit Fußstapfen von Blut.
9 And as troops of robbers wait for a man, [so] the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
Und wie Kriegshaufen, die auf einen Mann harren, ist die Gesellschaft der Priester; auf dem Wege nach Schechem morden sie, denn Schandtaten tun sie.
10 I have seen a horrible thing in the house of Israel: there [is] the prostitution of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
Schauerliches habe Ich im Hause Israels gesehen. Da buhlt Ephraim, und Israel verunreinigt sich.
11 Also, O Judah, he hath set a harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.
Auch Jehudah bringt dir eine Ernte, wenn Ich die Gefangenschaft Meines Volkes zurückwenden werde.
