Exodus 9
1 Then the LORD said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
Depois o Senhor disse a Moysés: Entra a Pharaó, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor, o Deus dos hebreos: Deixa ir o meu povo, para que me sirva.
2 For if thou shalt refuse to let [them] go, and wilt hold them still,
Porque se recusares de os deixar ir, e ainda por força os detiveres,
3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which are in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: [there shall be] a very grievous murrain.
Eis que a mão do Senhor será sobre teu gado, que está no campo, sobre os cavallos, sobre os jumentos, sobre os camelos, sobre os bois, e sobre as ovelhas, com pestilencia gravissima.
4 And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel, and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all [that] belongs to the children of Israel.
E o Senhor fará separação entre o gado dos israelitas, e o gado dos egypcios, que nada morra de tudo o que fôr dos filhos d'Israel.
5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To-morrow the LORD will do this thing in the land.
E o Senhor assignalou certo tempo, dizendo: Amanhã fará o Senhor esta coisa na terra.
6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
E o Senhor fez esta coisa no dia seguinte, e todo o gado dos egypcios morreu: porém do gado dos filhos d'Israel não morreu nenhum.
7 And Pharaoh sent, and behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
E Pharaó enviou a ver, e eis que do gado d'Israel não morrera nenhum: porém o coração de Pharaó se aggravou, e não deixou ir o povo
8 And the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it towards heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
Então disse o Senhor a Moysés e a Aarão: Tomae vossos punhos cheios da cinza do forno, e Moysés a espalhe para o céu diante dos olhos de Pharaó;
9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth [with] blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
E tornar-se-ha em pó miudo sobre toda a terra do Egypto, e se tornará em sarna, que arrebente em ulceras nos homens e no gado, por toda a terra do Egypto.
10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it towards heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth [with] blains upon man, and upon beast.
E elles tomaram a cinza do forno, e pozeram-se diante de Pharaó, e Moysés a espalhou para o céu: e tornou-se em sarna, que arrebentava em ulceras nos homens e no gado;
11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses, because of the boil: for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
De maneira que os magos não podiam parar diante de Moysés, por causa da sarna; porque havia sarna em os magos, e em todos os egypcios.
12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not to them; as the LORD had spoke to Moses.
Porém o Senhor endureceu o coração de Pharaó, e não os ouviu, como o Senhor tinha dito a Moysés.
13 And the LORD said to Moses, Rise early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
Então disse o Senhor a Moysés: Levanta-te pela manhã cedo, e põe-te diante de Pharaó, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor, o Deus dos hebreos: Deixa ir o meu povo, para que me sirva;
14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thy heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people: that thou mayest know that [there is] none like me in all the earth.
Porque esta vez enviarei todas as minhas pragas sobre o teu coração, e sobre os teus servos, e sobre o teu povo, para que saibas que não ha outro como Eu em toda a terra.
15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
Porque agora tenho estendido minha mão, para te ferir a ti e ao teu povo com pestilencia, e para que sejas destruido da terra;
16 And in very deed for this [cause] have I raised thee up, to show [in] thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
Mas devéras para isto te levantei, para mostrar minha potencia em ti, e para que o meu nome seja annunciado em toda a terra.
17 As yet dost thou exalt thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
Tu ainda te levantas contra o meu povo, para não os deixar ir?
18 Behold, to-morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since its foundation even until now.
Eis que ámanhã por este tempo farei chover saraiva mui grave, qual nunca houve no Egypto, desde o dia em que foi fundado até agora.
19 Send therefore now, [and] gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field: [for upon] every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
Agora pois envia, recolhe o teu gado, e tudo o que tens no campo; todo o homem e animal, que fôr achado no campo, e não fôr recolhido á casa, a saraiva cairá sobre elles, e morrerão.
20 He that feared the word of the LORD, among the servants of Pharaoh, made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
Quem dos servos de Pharaó temia a palavra do Senhor, fez fugir os seus servos e o seu gado para as casas;
21 And he that regarded not the word of the LORD, left his servants and his cattle in the field.
Mas aquelle que não tinha applicado a palavra do Senhor ao seu coração, deixou os seus servos e o seu gado no campo.
22 And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch forth thy hand towards heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
Então disse o Senhor a Moysés: Estende a tua mão para o céu, e haverá saraiva em toda a terra do Egypto, sobre os homens e sobre o gado, e sobre toda a herva do campo na terra de Egypto.
23 And Moses stretched forth his rod towards heaven, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground: and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
E Moysés estendeu a sua vara para o céu, e o Senhor deu trovões e saraiva, e fogo corria pela terra; e o Senhor fez chover saraiva sobre a terra do Egypto.
24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there had been none like it in all the land of Egypt, since it became a nation.
E havia saraiva, e fogo misturado entre a saraiva, mui grave, qual nunca houve em toda a terra do Egypto, desde que veiu a ser uma nação.
25 And the hail smote, throughout all the land of Egypt, all that [was] in the field, both man and beast, and the hail smote every herb of the field and broke every tree of the field.
E a saraiva feriu, em toda a terra do Egypto, tudo quanto havia no campo, desde os homens até aos animaes: tambem a saraiva feriu toda a herva do campo, e quebrou todas as arvores do campo.
26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel [were], there was no hail.
Sómente na terra de Goshen, onde estavam, os filhos de Israel, não havia saraiva.
27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time: the LORD [is] righteous, and I and my people [are] wicked.
Então Pharaó enviou para chamar a Moysés e a Aarão, e disse-lhes: Esta vez pequei; o Senhor é justo, mas eu e o meu povo impios.
28 Entreat the LORD (for [it is] enough) that there be no [more] mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.
Orae ao Senhor (pois que basta) para que não haja mais trovões de Deus nem saraiva; e eu vos deixarei ir, e não ficareis mais aqui.
29 And Moses said to him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to the LORD; [and] the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth [is] the LORD'S.
Então lhe disse Moysés: Em saindo da cidade estenderei minhas mãos ao Senhor: os trovões cessarão, e não haverá mais saraiva; para que saibas que a terra é do Senhor.
30 But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.
Todavia, quanto a ti e aos teus servos, eu sei que ainda não temereis diante do Senhor Deus.
31 And the flax and the barley were smitten: for the barley [was] in the ear, and the flax [was] bolled.
E o linho e a cevada foram feridos, porque a cevada já estava na espiga, e o linho na cana,
32 But the wheat and the rye were not smitten; for they [were] not grown up.
Mas o trigo e o centeio não foram feridos, porque estavam cobertos.
33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands to the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
Saiu pois Moysés de Pharaó, da cidade, e estendeu as suas mãos ao Senhor: e cessaram os trovões e a saraiva, e a chuva não caiu mais sobre a terra.
34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders had ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
Vendo Pharaó que cessou a chuva, e a saraiva, e os trovões, continuou em peccar: e aggravou o seu coração, elle e os seus servos.
35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
Assim o coração de Pharaó se endureceu, e não deixou ir os filhos de Israel, como o Senhor tinha dito por Moysés.
