Psalms 148
1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
Alléluia! Des Cieux louez l'Éternel! Louez-le dans les lieux très-hauts!
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
Louez-le, vous tous ses anges! Louez-le, vous toutes ses armées!
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
Louez-le, soleil et lune! Louez-le, vous toutes les étoiles brillantes!
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that are above the heavens.
Louez-le, Cieux des Cieux, et vous les eaux, qui êtes au-dessus des Cieux!
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
Qu'ils louent le nom de l'Éternel! Car Il commanda, et ils furent créés,
6 He hath also established them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
et Il les établit pour jamais, pour l'éternité; Il leur donna des lois, et ils ne les transgressent pas.
7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
De la terre louez l'Éternel! bêtes de la mer, et vous tous les abîmes,
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
feu et grêle, neige et brouillard, vent des tempêtes, qui exécutez ses ordres,
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
montagnes et toutes les collines, arbres à fruit, et vous tous les cèdres,
10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
animaux, et vous tous les bestiaux, reptiles et oiseaux ailés,
11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
rois de la terre, et vous tous les peuples, princes, et vous tous les juges de la terre,
12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
jeunes hommes et vierges, vieillards de concert avec les enfants!
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
Qu'ils louent le nom de l'Éternel! Car son nom seul est éminent, sa magnificence est plus haute que la terre et les Cieux;
14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near to him. Praise ye the LORD.
et Il relève la tête de son peuple, la gloire de tous ses saints, des enfants d'Israël, du peuple qui Lui tient de près. Alléluia!
