Mark 3
1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there who had a withered hand.
Et il entra de nouveau dans une synagogue, et il se trouvait là un homme ayant la main desséchée.
2 And they watched him, to see whether he would heal him on the sabbath; that they might accuse him.
Et ils l'observaient pour voir si, le jour du sabbat, il le guérirait, afin de pouvoir l'accuser.
3 And he saith to the man who had the withered hand, Stand forth.
Et il dit à l'homme qui avait la main sèche: « Lève-toi, et viens ici au milieu. »
4 And he saith to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
Et il leur dit: « Est-il permis le jour du sabbat de faire du bien ou de faire du mal, de sauver une vie ou de la détruire? » Mais eux se taisaient.
5 And when he had looked around on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith to the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored as whole as the other.
Et ayant porté tout autour de lui ses regards sur eux avec colère, étant vivement attristé de l'endurcissement de leur cœur, il dit à l'homme: « Étends la main. » Et il l'étendit et sa main fut guérie.
6 And the Pharisees went forth, and immediately took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
Et les pharisiens étant sortis tenaient aussitôt conseil contre lui avec les Hérodiens, afin de le faire mourir.
7 But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
Et Jésus se retira, avec ses disciples vers la mer, et une multitude nombreuse venue de la Galilée le suivit. Et de la Judée,
8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came to him.
et de Jérusalem, et de l'Idumée, et d'au delà le Jourdain, et des environs de Tyr et de Sidon, une multitude nombreuse entendant parler de tout ce qu'il faisait, vint à lui.
9 And he spoke to his disciples, that a small boat should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
Et il dit à ses disciples de faire tenir près de lui des barques, à cause de la foule, afin qu'on ne se pressât pas contre lui;
10 For he had healed many; so that they pressed upon him to touch him, as many as had afflictions.
en effet il avait guéri beaucoup de monde, en sorte que tous ceux qui avaient des infirmités se jetaient sur lui, afin de le toucher.
11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
Et les esprits impurs, quand ils le voyaient, se jetaient à ses pieds et s'écriaient: « Tu es le fils de Dieu. »
12 And he strictly charged them that they should not make him known.
Et il leur adressait beaucoup de remontrances, pour qu'ils ne le fissent pas connaître.
13 And he goeth up upon a mountain, and calleth to him whom he would: and they came to him.
Et il monte sur la montagne, et il appelle à lui ceux qu'il voulait; et ils vinrent vers lui.
14 And he appointed twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
Et il en désigna douze, qu'il nomma aussi apôtres, afin qu'ils fussent avec lui, et afin de les envoyer prêcher,
15 And to have authority to heal sicknesses, and to cast out demons:
en ayant l'autorité de chasser les démons.
16 And Simon he surnamed Peter;
Et il désigna les douze, et il donna à Simon le nom de Pierre,
17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
et Jacques fils de Zébédée et Jean le frère de Jacques, et il leur donna le nom de Boanerges, qui signifie fils du tonnerre,
18 And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
et André, et Philippe, et Barthélémy, et Matthieu, et Thomas, et Jacques le fils d'Alphée, et Thaddée, et Simon le Cananéen,
19 And Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him: and they went into an house.
et Judas Iscarioth, lequel aussi le livra.
20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
Et il se rend à la maison, et la foule se réunit de nouveau, en sorte qu'ils ne pouvaient pas même prendre leur repas.
21 And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.
Et ceux qui lui tenaient de près l'ayant appris sortirent pour se saisir de lui, car ils disaient: « Il a perdu l'esprit. »
22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the demons he casteth out demons.
Et les scribes descendus de Jérusalem disaient: « Il a Béézéboul, » et: « C'est par le chef des démons qu'il chasse les démons. »
23 And he called them to him, and said to them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
Et les ayant appelés à lui, il leur disait sous forme de paraboles: « Comment Satan peut-il chasser Satan?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
Et si un royaume est divisé contre lui-même, ce royaume-là ne peut pas subsister;
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
et si une maison est divisée contre elle-même, cette maison-là ne pourra pas subsister;
26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
et si Satan s'est soulevé contre lui-même et est divisé, il ne peut pas subsister, mais il prend fin.
27 No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and plunder his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will plunder his house.
Mais personne ne peut, après être entré dans la maison de l'homme fort, piller ses biens, s'il n'a pas premièrement garrotté l'homme fort, et alors il pillera sa maison.
28 Verily I say to you, All sins shall be forgiven to the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they shall blaspheme:
En vérité je vous déclare que tous les péchés et les blasphèmes, qu'ils auront pu proférer, seront pardonnés aux fils des hommes;
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
C'est qu'ils disaient: « Il a un esprit impur. »
31 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.
Et sa mère et ses frères viennent, et se tenant debout dehors ils envoyèrent vers lui pour l'appeler.
32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said to him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
Et la foule était-assise autour de lui, et on lui dit: « Voici, ta mère et tes frères sont dehors qui te cherchent. »
33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
Et il leur réplique: « Qui est ma mère et mes frères? »
34 And he looked around on them who sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
Ayant porté ses regards tout alentour sur ceux qui étaient assis en cercle autour de lui, il dit: « Voilà ma mère et mes frères;
35 For whoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
quiconque aura fait les volontés de Dieu, celui-là est mon frère, et ma sœur, et ma mère. »
