Isaiah 22
1 The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou hast wholly gone up to the housetops?
১দর্শন-উপত্যকা বিষয়ে ঘোষণা: তোমার এখন কি হয়েছে যে, তোমার সবাই ছাদের উপরে উঠেছ?
2 Thou that art full of shoutings, a tumultuous city, a joyous city: thy slain men are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.
২হে কোলাহলপূর্ণ শহর, হে আনন্দময় পূর্ণ শহর, তোমার মৃত লোকেরা তো তরোয়ালের আঘাতে মরেনি এবং তারা যুদ্ধেও মরেনি।
3 All thy rulers have fled together, they are bound by the archers: all that are found in thee are bound together, who have fled from far.
৩তোমার শাসনকর্তারা সব একসঙ্গে পালিয়ে গেছে; ধনুক ছাড়াই তারা ধরা পড়েছে। তোমার মধ্যে যাদের ধরা হয়েছিল এবং একসঙ্গে বন্দী করা হয়েছিল; তারা দূরে পালিয়ে গিয়েছিল।
4 Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the plundering of the daughter of my people.
৪সেইজন্য আমি বললাম, “আমার দিকে তাকিও না; আমি খুব কাঁদব। আমার লোকের মেয়েদের সর্বনাশের বিষয়ে আমাকে সান্ত্বনা দেবার চেষ্টা করো না।”
5 For it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.
৫বাহিনীদের প্রভু সদাপ্রভুর কাছ থেকে দর্শন-উপত্যকায় কোলাহলের, পায়ে মাড়াবার এবং বিশৃঙ্খলার দিন এসেছে। দেয়াল ভেঙে যাচ্ছে ও লোকদের আর্তনাদ পর্বত পর্যন্ত যাচ্ছে।
6 And Elam bore the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield.
৬এলমের লোকেরা তীর রাখবার পাত্র তুলে নিয়েছে; সঙ্গে লোকদের রথ ও অশ্বারোহীদের দল এবং কীরের লোকেরা ঢাল অনাবৃত করল।
7 And it shall come to pass, that thy choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
৭তোমার মনোনীত করা উপত্যকাগুলো রথে ভরে গেছে এবং প্রবেশ দ্বারে অশ্বারোহীরা তাদের অবস্থান নিয়ে থাকবে।
8 And he uncovered the coverings of Judah, and thou didst look in that day to the armour of the house of the forest.
৮তিনি যিহূদার সুরক্ষা ব্যবস্থা দূর করলেন এবং সেই দিন তোমরা বনের প্রাসাদের অস্ত্রশস্ত্রের ওপর নির্ভর করেছিলে।
9 Ye have seen also the breaches of the city of David, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
৯তোমরা দায়ূদ-শহরের দেয়ালগুলোর মধ্যে অনেক ফাটল দেখেছিলে, যে সেগুলো অনেক এবং নীচের পুকুরের জল জমা করেছিলে।
10 And ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses have ye broken down to fortify the wall.
১০তোমরা যিরূশালেমের ঘর-বাড়ী গুণেছিলে আর দেয়াল শক্ত করবার জন্য সেগুলো ভেঙে ফেললে।
11 Ye made also a ditch between the two walls for the water of the old pool: but ye have not looked to its maker, neither had respect to him that fashioned it long ago.
১১পুরানো পুকুরের জলের জন্য তোমরা দুই দেয়ালের মাঝখানে একটা জায়গা তৈরী করেছিলে। কিন্তু তোমরা শহরটির সৃষ্টিকর্ত্তার ওপর নির্ভর করনি, যিনি দীর্ঘদিনের র পরিকল্পনা করেছিলেন।
12 And in that day did the Lord GOD of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:
১২সেই দিন বাহিনীদের প্রভু সদাপ্রভু কাঁদবার ও শোক করবার জন্য, মাথার চুল কামাবার জন্য ও চট পরার জন্য তোমাদের ডেকেছিলেন।
13 And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we shall die.
১৩কিন্তু দেখ, পরিবর্তে, উদযাপন ও আনন্দ চলছে, গরু ও মেষ হত্যা করা এবং মাংস ও আঙ্গুর রস খাওয়া চলছে। এস, আমরা খাওয়া দাওয়া করি, কারণ কালকে আমরা মরে যাব।
14 And it was revealed in my ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
১৪বাহিনীদের প্রভু সদাপ্রভু আমার কাছে এই কথা প্রকাশ করেছেন, “অবশ্যই তোমাদের এই অপরাধের ক্ষমা হবে না, এমনকি যখন তোমাদের মৃত্যুতেও না,” আমি বাহিনীদের প্রভু সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলছি।
15 Thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get to this treasurer, even to Shebna, who is over the house, and say,
১৫বাহিনীদের প্রভু সদাপ্রভু বলছেন, “যাও এই পরিচালকের কাছে, শিবনের কাছে যাও এবং বল,
16 What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that cut out an habitation for himself in a rock?
১৬‘তুমি এখানে কি করছ? এবং তুমি কে, যে এখানে নিজের কবর খুঁড়েছ? উঁচু জায়গায় তোমার কবর ঠিক করবার জন্য, পাহাড় কেটে বিশ্রাম-স্থান বানিয়েছ’!”
17 Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee.
১৭দেখ, ওহে শক্তিশালী লোক, সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে শক্ত করে ধরে ছুঁড়ে ফেলতে যাচ্ছেন।
18 With violence he will surely turn and toss thee like a ball into a wide country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord’s house.
১৮তিনি অবশ্যই তোমাকে বলের মত করে একটা বিরাট দেশে ফেলে দেবেন। সেখানে তুমি মারা যাবে, আর তোমার মহিমান্বিত রথগুলো সেখানে পড়ে থাকবে। তুমি তোমার প্রভুর গৃহের জন্য লজ্জিত হবে।
19 And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down.
১৯আমি তোমার পদ থেকে ঠেলে দেব; তোমার স্থান থেকে তোমাকে নীচে নামিয়ে দেওয়া হবে।
20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:
২০“সেই দিন আমার দাস হিল্কিয়ের ছেলে ইলীয়াকীমকে আমি ডাকব।
21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy belt, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
২১তাকে আমি তোমার পোশাক পরাব ও তাকে কোমরবন্ধনী দেব এবং তোমার কাজের ভার তার হাতে তুলে দেব। সে যিরূশালেমের নিবাসীদের ও যিহূদা কুলের বাবা হবে।
22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
২২তার কাঁধে আমি দায়ূদের বংশের চাবি দেব; সে যা খুলবে তা কেউ বন্ধ করতে পারবে না, আর যা বন্ধ করবে তা কেউ খুলতে পারবে না।
23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.
২৩আমি একটি নিরাপদ জায়গায় একটি পেরেকের মত তাকে আবদ্ধ করব এবং তার বাবার বংশের জন্য সে হবে একটা মহিমার সিংহাসন।
24 And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.
২৪তার পিতৃকুলের সমস্ত গৌরব, বংশধর, পানপাত্র থেকে কলসি পর্যন্ত সমস্ত ছোট পাত্র তার ওপরেই ঝুলানো যাবে।
25 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
২৫সেই দিন ই” সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুর এই ঘোষণা “খুঁটি মজবুত জায়গা থেকে সরে যাবে, বিচ্ছিন্ন হবে এবং পড়ে যাবে এবং যে তার ওপরে ছিল তার উচ্ছিন্ন হবে” কারণ সদাপ্রভু তা বলেছেন।
