< Hebrews 8 >

1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is seated on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Tebang khosoihham ng'khueh uh te a cuinah la n'thui coeng. Anih tah vaan kah Boeilennah ngolkhoel bantang ah ngol.
2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
Hmuencim neh dap tang kah bibikung la om. Te te hlang long pawt tih Boeipa long ni a tuk.
3 For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices: therefore it is of necessity that this man should have somewhat also to offer.
Khosoihham boeih te kutdoe neh hmueih nawn ham a tuek. Pakhat khaw a khueh tangkik coeng dongah tekah te khaw nawn saeh.
4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
Diklai ah om tangloeng ngawn koinih khosoih la ka om eh a ti moenih. Olkhueng dongah kutdoe aka nawn rhoek lam ni a om uh.
5 Who serve to the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished by God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shown to thee in the mount.
Amih loh vaan kah moeiboe neh mueihlip te a bawk uh. Moses loh dap a coeng tom a mangthui pah. A hmuh dongah, “Tlang dongkah nang kan tueng bangla a mueimae boeih saii,” a ti.
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
Tedae thothueng tanglue a dang coeng. Paipi dongah rhikhangkung aka then lam khaw muep om. Te long te a then la olkhueh ol a rhi thil.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
Lamhma te cuemthuek la om koinih a hmuen pabae tlap mahpawh.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Tedae amih te a coel dongah, “Khohnin ha pawk coeng ke,” a ti. Boeipa loh, “Israel imkhui ah khaw, Judah imkhui ah khaw paipi thai ka thoh ni,” a ti.
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Amih kut te ka tuuk tih Egypt kho lamloh amih ka doek hnin vaengkah a napa rhoek taengah ka saii paipi bang te moenih. Amih tah kai kah paipi dongah a ngol pai uh pawt dongah kai long khaw amih te ka sawtrhoel. Boeipa loh a ti.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Hekah paipi tah te khohnin phoeiah ni Israel imkhui ah ka saii eh. Boeipa long ni a thui. Ka olkhueng he a kopoek ah ka paek vetih amih thinko ah ka daek pah ni. Te vaengah amih taengah Pathen la ka om vetih amih khaw ka pilnam la om uh ni.
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Te vaengah pakhat rhip loh a pilnam te khaw, pakhat rhip loh a manuca te khaw, “Boeipa te ming lah,” a ti nah vetih thuituen uh loengloeng mahpawh. Amih tanoe lamkah kangham duela kai boeih m'ming uh ni.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Amih kah boethae te poekpoei rhola la ka om pah vetih amih kah tholhnah te ka poek khuep voel mahpawh.
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and groweth old is ready to vanish away.
A thai a thui rhang neh paipi lamhma te a rhuem sak. Te dongah a rhuemrho neh a rhuemrho tah khum tom coeng.
