Hebrews 8

1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is seated on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

١ وَخُلاَصَةُ الْقَوْلِ، أَنَّ الْمَسِيحَ هُوَ رَئِيسُ كَهَنَتِنَا الَّذِي وَصَفْنَا كَهَنُوتَهُ هُنَا. إِنَّهُ الآنَ جَالِسٌ فِي السَّمَاءِ عَنْ يَمِينِ عَرْشِ اللهِ الْعَظِيمِ.

2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

٢ وَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِمُهِمَّتِهِ هُنَاكَ، فِي قُدْسِ الأَقْدَاسِ: فِي خَيْمَةِ الْعِبَادَةِ الْحَقِيقِيَّةِ الَّتِي نَصَبَهَا الرَّبُّ، لاَ الإِنْسَانُ.

3 For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices: therefore it is of necessity that this man should have somewhat also to offer.

٣ فَمُهِمَّةُ كُلِّ رَئِيسِ كَهَنَةٍ هِيَ أَنْ يُقَرِّبَ لِلهِ التَّقْدِمَاتِ وَالذَّبَائِحَ. وَعَلَيْهِ، فَمِنَ الضَّرُورِيِّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِرَئِيسِ كَهَنَتِنَا مَا يُقَدِّمُهُ.

4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

٤ فَلَوْ أَنَّ الْمَسِيحَ كَانَ عَلَى هَذِهِ الأَرْضِ، لَمَا كَانَ كَاهِناً. إِذْ هُنَاكَ مَنْ يُقَدِّمُونَ الْقَرَابِينَ حَسَبَ الشَّرِيعَةِ، وَهُمْ مِنْ نَسْلِ لاوِي حَصْرِيًّا.

5 Who serve to the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished by God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shown to thee in the mount.

٥ وَهَؤُلاَءِ يَقُومُونَ بِخِدْمَةِ مَا يُشَكِّلُ رَمْزاً وَظِلاً لِلأُمُورِ الَّتِي فِي السَّمَاءِ. وَهَذَا وَاضِحٌ مِنْ قَوْلِ اللهِ لِمُوسَى قَبْلَ أَنْ يَصْنَعَ خَيْمَةَ الْعِبَادَةِ. إِذْ أَوْحَى إِلَيْهِ قَائِلاً: «انْتَبِهْ! عَلَيْكَ أَنْ تَصْنَعَ الْخَيْمَةَ وَمَا فِيهَا وَفْقاً لِلْمِثَالِ الَّذِي أَظْهَرْتُهُ لَكَ عَلَى الْجَبَلِ!»

6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

٦ فَرَئِيسُ كَهَنَتِنَا، إِذَنْ، قَدْ حَصَلَ عَلَى خِدْمَةٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ خِدْمَةِ الْكَهَنُوتِ الأَرْضِيِّ، لِكَوْنِهِ الْوَسِيطَ الَّذِي أَعْلَنَ لَنَا قِيَامَ عَهْدٍ جَدِيدٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنَ الْعَهْدِ السَّابِقِ، وَلِكَوْنِ هَذَا الْعَهْدِ الْجَدِيدِ يَنْطَوِي عَلَى وُعُودٍ أَفْضَلَ.

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

٧ فَلَوْ كَانَ الْعَهْدُ السَّابِقُ بِلاَ عَيْبٍ، لَمَا ظَهَرَتْ الْحَاجَةُ إِلَى عَهْدٍ آخَرَ يَحُلُّ مَحَلَّهُ.

8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

٨ وَالْوَاقِعُ أَنَّ اللهَ يَلُومُ شَعْبَهُ قَائِلاً: «لاَبُدَّ أَنْ تَأْتِيَ أَيَّامٌ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ، أُبْرِمُ فِيهَا عَهْداً جَدِيداً مَعَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَبَنِي يَهُوذَا.

9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

٩ هَذَا الْعَهْدُ الْجَدِيدُ لَيْسَ كَالْعَهْدِ الَّذِي أَبْرَمْتُهُ مَعَ آبَائِهِمْ، حِينَ أَمْسَكْتُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَخْرَجْتُهُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِ مِصْرَ. فَبِمَا أَنَّهُمْ خَرَقُوا ذَلِكَ الْعَهْدَ، أَهْمَلْتُهُمْ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ!

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

١٠ فَهَذَا هُوَ الْعَهْدُ الَّذِي أُبْرِمُهُ مَعَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، بَعْدَ تِلْكَ الأَيَّامِ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ: أَضَعُ شَرَائِعِي دَاخِلَ ضَمَائِرِهِمْ، وَأَكْتُبُهَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ، وَأَكُونُ لَهُمْ إِلَهاً، وَهُمْ يَكُونُونَ لِي شَعْباً.

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

١١ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، لاَ يُعَلِّمُ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمُ ابْنَ وَطَنِهِ وَلاَ أَخَاهُ قَائِلاً: تَعَرَّفْ بِالرَّبِّ! ذَلِكَ لأَنَّ الْجَمِيعَ سَوْفَ يَعْرِفُونَنِي، مِنَ الصَّغِيرِ فِيهِمْ إِلَى الْعَظِيمِ.

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

١٢ لأَنِّي سَأَصْفَحُ عَنْ آثَامِهِمْ، وَلاَ أَعُودُ أَبَداً إِلَى تَذَكُّرِ خَطَايَاهُمْ وَمُخَالَفَاتِهِمْ!»

13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and groweth old is ready to vanish away.

١٣ وَاللهُ بِكَلاَمِهِ عَنْ عَهْدٍ جَدِيدٍ، جَعَلَ الْعَهْدَ السَّابِقَ عَتِيقاً. وَطَبِيعِيٌّ أَنَّ كُلَّ مَا عَتَقَ وَشَاخَ، يَكُونُ فِي طَرِيقِهِ إِلَى الزَّوَالِ!
