1 Chronicles 10
1 Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.
ଏଥିମଧ୍ୟରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ; ପୁଣି, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ପଳାଇ ଗିଲ୍ବୋୟ ପର୍ବତରେ ହତ ହୋଇ ପଡ଼ିଲେ।
2 And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.
ଆଉ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ଶାଉଲ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଲାଗି ଗୋଡ଼ାଇଲେ ଓ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଯୋନାଥନକୁ, ଅବୀନାଦବକୁ ଓ ମଲ୍କୀଶୂୟକୁ ବଧ କଲେ।
3 And the battle prevailed against Saul, and the archers hit him, and he was wounded by the archers.
ଏହିରୂପେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଭାରୀ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ହେଲା ଓ ଧନୁର୍ଦ୍ଧରମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଧରିଲେ; ଆଉ ଧନୁର୍ଦ୍ଧରମାନଙ୍କ ସକାଶୁ ସେ ଆହତ ହେଲେ।
4 Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through with it; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was greatly afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
ତହିଁରେ ଶାଉଲ ଆପଣା ଅସ୍ତ୍ରବାହକକୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭ ଖଡ୍ଗ ବାହାର କରି ତହିଁରେ ମୋତେ ଭୁସି ପକାଅ; କେଜାଣି ଏହି ଅସୁନ୍ନତମାନେ ଆସି ମୋତେ କୌତୁକ କରିବେ।” ମାତ୍ର ତାଙ୍କର ଅସ୍ତ୍ରବାହକ ଅତିଶୟ ଭୀତ ହେବାରୁ ସମ୍ମତ ହେଲା ନାହିଁ। ଏହେତୁ ଶାଉଲ ଖଡ୍ଗ ନେଇ ଆପେ ତହିଁ ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ିଲେ।
5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on the sword, and died.
ତହିଁରେ ଶାଉଲ ମରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଦେଖି ତାଙ୍କର ଅସ୍ତ୍ରବାହକ ସେହିପରି ଆପଣା ଖଡ୍ଗ ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ି ମଲା।
6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together.
ଏହିରୂପେ ଶାଉଲ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ତିନି ପୁତ୍ର ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ପରିଜନ ଏକାସଙ୍ଗେ ମଲେ।
7 And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then they forsook their cities, and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ପଳାଇଲେ, ଆଉ ଶାଉଲ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରମାନେ ମଲେ, ଏହା ଦେଖି ତଳଭୂମିସ୍ଥ ସମସ୍ତ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଲୋକ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ନଗରସବୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ପଳାଇଲେ; ତହୁଁ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ଆସି ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାସ କଲେ।
8 And it came to pass on the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ପରଦିନ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ହତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସଜ୍ଜାଦି ଫିଟାଇ ନେବା ପାଇଁ ଆସନ୍ତେ, ସେମାନେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗିଲ୍ବୋୟ ପର୍ବତରେ ପଡ଼ିଥିବାର ଦେଖିଲେ।
9 And when they had stripped him, they took his head, and his armour, and sent messengers around into the land of the Philistines, to carry tidings to their idols, and to the people.
ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ସଜ୍ଜା ଫିଟାଇ ତାଙ୍କର ମସ୍ତକ ଓ ସଜ୍ଜା ନେଇ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଦେବପ୍ରତିମାଗଣର ଗୃହକୁ ଓ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ସମ୍ବାଦ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଦେଶର ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ପଠାଇଲେ।
10 And they put his armour in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the temple of Dagon.
ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ସଜ୍ଜା ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଦେବ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ରଖିଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ମସ୍ତକକୁ ଦାଗୋନ୍ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଟାଙ୍ଗି ଦେଲେ।
11 And when all Jabeshgilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul,
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯାବେଶ-ଗିଲୀୟଦୀୟ ସମସ୍ତେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ କୃତ ସକଳ କର୍ମର ସମ୍ବାଦ ପାଆନ୍ତେ,
12 They arose, all the valiant men, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
ସମସ୍ତ ବିକ୍ରମଶାଳୀ ଲୋକ ଉଠି ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ଶରୀର ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ଶରୀର ଯାବେଶକୁ ନେଇ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ଯାବେଶସ୍ଥ ଅଲୋନ ବୃକ୍ଷ ମୂଳେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅସ୍ଥି ପୋତି ସାତ ଦିନ ଉପବାସ କଲେ।
13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of a medium, to enquire of it;
ଏହିରୂପେ ଶାଉଲ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ କୃତ ଆପଣା ଅବିଶ୍ଵସ୍ତତା ସକାଶୁ ମଲେ, କାରଣ ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞା ପାଳନ କଲେ ନାହିଁ; ମଧ୍ୟ ସେ ଭୂତୁଡ଼ିଆଠାରୁ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ମାଗି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
14 And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom to David the son of Jesse.
ଏହେତୁ ସେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କଲେ ଓ ଯିଶୀର ପୁତ୍ର ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଦେଲେ।
