Psalms 56

1 For the chief musician; set to Jonath elem rehokim. A psalm of David. A michtam; when the Philistines took him in Gath. Be merciful to me, God, for men are attacking me! All the day long those who fight me press their assault.

೧ಪ್ರಧಾನಗಾಯಕನ ಕೀರ್ತನ ಸಂಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು; ಯೋನತ್ ಎಲೆಮ್ ರೆಹೋಕೀಮ್ ಎಂಬ ರಾಗ; ದಾವೀದನು ಗತ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಕೈವಶವಾದಾಗ ರಚಿಸಿದ ಕಾವ್ಯ. ದೇವರೇ, ಕರುಣಿಸು; ನರರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತುಳಿದುಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಎದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನನ್ನ ಎದುರಾಳಿಗಳು ಹಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಂತು ಬಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

2 My enemies trample me all day long; for there are many who arrogantly fight against me.

೨ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಬಾಯ್ದೆರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಸೊಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಂತವರು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಜನರು.

3 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.

೩ನನಗೆ ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯುಂಟಾದಾಗ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು.

4 In God, whose word I praise— in God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid; what can mere man do to me?

೪ದೇವರ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡುವೆನು; ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ನಿರ್ಭಯದಿಂದಿರುವೆನು. ನರಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ನನಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಾರು?

5 All the day long they twist my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil.

೫ಹಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಪಾರ್ಥಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರು ಬಗೆಯುವುದೆಲ್ಲ ನನಗೆ ಕೇಡೇ.

6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, and they mark my steps, just as they have waited for my life.

೬ಅವರು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವ ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿ, ನನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಜಾಡು ಹಿಡಿದು ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

7 Do not let them escape doing iniquity. Bring down the peoples in your anger, God.

೭ಇಂಥ ಅನ್ಯಾಯಗಾರರು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದೋ? ದೇವರೇ, ರೌದ್ರದಿಂದ ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಉರುಳಿಸಿಬಿಡು.

8 You number my wanderings and put my tears into your bottle; are they not in your book?

೮ನಾನು ದೇಶಭ್ರಷ್ಟನಾಗಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಬಲ್ಲೆ. ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ನಿನ್ನ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ; ಅದರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.

9 Then my enemies will turn back on the day that I call to you; this I know, that God is for me.

೯ನಾನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವಾಗಲೇ ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಓಡುವರು; ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವುದು ನಿಶ್ಚಯ.

10 In God—whose word I praise, in Yahweh—whose word I praise,

೧೦ದೇವರ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಡಿ ಹರಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಡಿ ಹರಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

11 in God I trust, I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?

೧೧ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ನಿರ್ಭಯದಿಂದಿರುವೆನು; ನರಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ನನಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಾರು?

12 The duty to fulfill my vows to you is on me, God; I will give thank offerings to you.

೧೨ದೇವರೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಹೊತ್ತ ಹರಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನು; ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವೆನು.

13 For you have rescued my life from death; you have kept my feet from falling, so that I may walk before God in the light of the living.

೧೩ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ನಿನಗೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಎಡವಿಬೀಳದಂತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಿದ್ದಿ.
