< John 7 >

1 After these things Jesus traveled about in Galilee, for he did not want to go into Judea because the Jews were seeking to kill him.
Momo bu mavioka, Yesu wudiengila mu Ngalili, kasia zola vuanda mu Yuda ko, bila Byuda batomba ku mvonda.
2 Now the Jewish Festival of Shelters was near.
Nyengo wu Bayuda, nyengo wu zinzo zi kapu, wuba nduka.
3 His brothers therefore said to him, “Leave this place and go to Judea, so that your disciples also may see the works that you do.
Buna bakhomba bandi zinkamba: —Katuka vava, yenda ku Yuda muingi minlonguki miaku mimona mavanga momo wulembo vangi.
4 No one does anything in secret if he himself wants to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.”
Bila kuisi ko mutu wumvanganga diambu mu kinsueki ayi tidi zabakana kuidi batu. Bu wulembo vangi mambu mama, wukimonisa ngeyo veka kuidi batu ba nza.
5 For even his brothers did not believe in him.
Bila bakhomba bandi mamvawu zisia kunwilukila ko.
6 Jesus therefore said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
Yesu wuba vutudila: —Thanguꞌama yifueni ko vayi beno thangu eno yidi yimbote mu zithangu zioso.
7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil.
Nza yilendi ku lulenda ko. Vayi minu yifueti kaka kundenda bu ndieti kuyitelimina kimbangi ti mavanga mandi madi mambimbi.
8 You go up to the festival; I am not going to this festival because my time has not yet been fulfilled.”
Diawu beno yendanu kueno ku nyengo beni. Minu ndisi nkuenda ko ku nyengo beni bila thangu ama yifueni ko.
9 After he said these things to them, he stayed in Galilee.
Yesu wuvuanda ku Ngalili bu kamana kuba kamba mambu momo.
10 But when his brothers had gone up to the festival, then he also went up, not publicly but in secret.
Bakhomba bandi bu bayenda ku nyengo, niandi mamvandi wuyenda mu kinsueki, mu kambu kukimonisa kuidi batu.
11 The Jews were looking for him at the festival and said, “Where is he?”
Bayuda bantomba ku nyengo bu batuba: —Kuevi kuidi mutu wowo e?
12 There was much discussion among the crowds about him. Some said, “He is a good man.” Others said, “No, he leads the crowds astray.”
Maniunguta mawombo mabua mu diambu diandi va khatitsika nkangu wu batu. Batu bankaka batuba ti: —Mutu wowo widi mutu wumboti. Vayi batu bankaka batuba ti: —Nana, batu kalembo vukumuna.
13 Yet no one spoke openly about him for fear of the Jews.
Vayi kadi mutu kasia baka kibakala ko mu ku nzonzila va meso ma batu, mu diambu di boma baba mona Bayuda.
14 When the festival was already half over, Jesus went up into the temple and began to teach.
Nyengo buna weka va khatitsika, Yesu wukota mu Nzo Nzambi ayi wulonga.
15 Then the Jews marveled, saying, “How does this man know so much? He has never been educated.”
Bayuda basimina buwombo ayi batuba: Buevi mutu wawu kazabidi masonuku bu didi ti niandi kasia longa ko e?
16 Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not mine, but is of him who sent me.
Yesu wuba vutudila: —Malongi mama masi mama veka ko vayi malongi ma mutu wowo wuthuma.
17 If anyone wishes to do his will, he will know about this teaching, whether it comes from God, or whether I speak from myself.
Woso tidi kuandi vanga luzolo lu Nzambi buna buedika wela zaba ti malongi ma ndieta longa kuidi Nzambi maba voti mu luzolo luama veka ndieta yolukila.
18 Whoever speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but whoever seeks the glory of him who sent him, that person is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
Mutu wunlonganga mu luzolo luandi veka, wuntombanga wandi nkembo. Vayi mutu wowo wuntombanga nkembo wu mutu wowo wuntuma, buna niandi mutu wukiedika ayi kuisi ko diambu di luvunu mu niandi.
19 Did not Moses give you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law. Why do you seek to kill me?”
Moyize kasia kuluvana mina ko e? Vayi kadi mutu mu beno kakinzikanga Mina ko. Buna bila mbi luntomba kuphondila e?
20 The crowd answered, “You have a demon. Who seeks to kill you?”
Nkangu wuvutula: —Pheve yi mbimbi yidi yaku! Nani tidi kuvonda e?
21 Jesus answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all marvel because of it.
Yesu wuba vutudila: —Kumu kimosi ndivengi, vayi beno babo lulembo simina.
22 Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the ancestors), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a man.
Moyize wuluvana muina wu zenganga nitu yi kibakala, (wusia ba muinꞌandi ko vayi wuba wu bakulu). Vayi beno lueti zenganga nitu yi kibakala mu lumbu ki saba.
23 If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses is not broken, why are you angry with me because I made a man completely healthy on the Sabbath?
Enati bakala zengusulu nitu yi kibakala mu lumbu ki saba mu diambu di bika bundula muina wu Moyize, buna bila mbi beno lufueti kumfuemina bu ndibelusa mbevo mu lumbu ki saba e?
24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge righteously.”
Diawu bikanu sambisa batu mu thalu yi zizi vayi lusambisa mu tsambusulu yi songa.
25 Some of them from Jerusalem said, “Is not this the one they seek to kill?
Basi Yelusalemi bankaka batuba: —Niandi ko mutu wowo batidi vonda e?
26 See, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. It cannot be that the rulers indeed know that this is the Christ, can it?
Vayi tala buabu wulembo longi mu kiphuanza vayi bakadi kunkanga kadi diambu dimosi. Mananga bapfumu zimueni ti bukiedika kuandi niandi Klisto e?
27 Yet we know where this one is from. But when the Christ comes, no one will know where he is from.”
Vayi tuzebi mutu wowo ayi tunzebi kuevi kaba vayi Klisto bu kela kuiza, kadi mutu kasi zaba ko kuevi kela ba!
28 Then Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, “You both know me and know where I come from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, and you do not know him.
Muna nzo Nzambi, Yesu wuyamikina, bu kaba longa: —Bukiedika luzebi minu ndidi nani ayi kuevi ndiba! Ndisia kuizila mu luzolo luama veka ko vayi mutu wowo wuthuma niandi wukiedika; beno luisi kunzaba ko.
29 I know him because I come from him and he sent me.”
Minu ndinzebi, bila kuidi niandi ndiba ayi niandi wuthuma.
30 They were trying to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him because his hour had not yet come.
Bazola kumbuila. Vayi kadi mutu kasia nunga ko mu kumbuila, bila thangu andi buna yifueni ko.
31 But many in the crowd believed in him, and they said, “When the Christ comes, will he do more signs than what this one has done?”
Batu bawombo mu bobo baba mu nkangu banwilukila ayi batuba: —Klisto bu kela kuiza, wela vanga bikumu biwombo viokila biobi bilembu vangi mutu wawu e?
32 The Pharisees heard the crowds whispering these things about Jesus, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to arrest him.
Bafalisi bawa nkangu wu batu wuniunguta mambu momo mu diambu diandi. Diawu Bafalisi va kimosi ayi bapfumu zi zinganga Nzambi batumaminsungi mi Nzo Nzambi muingi mienda kangi Yesu.
33 Jesus then said, “I am still with you for a short amount of time, and then I go to him who sent me.
Vayi Yesu wukamba: —Ndikidi yeno diaka vava mu thangu yikhufi, bosi ndiela vutuka kuidi mutu wuthuma.
34 You will seek me but you will not find me; where I go, you will not be able to come.”
Buna luela kuthomba vayi lulendi kumbona ko. Koko ndiela ba, beno lulendi kuiza kuna ko.
35 The Jews therefore said among themselves, “Where will this man go that we will not be able to find him? Will he go to the dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks?
Bayuda bakambasana bawu na bawu: —Buna kuevi mutu wawu kela kuenda koko tulendi kummonina ko e? Mananga tidi kuenda kuidi batu bobo bamuangana mu zitsi zi Bangeleki ayi tidi kuenda longi Bangeleki e?
36 What is this word that he said, 'You will seek me but will not find me; where I go, you will not be able to come'?”
Buna buevi buididi tsundu yi mambu momo katubidi ti: “Luela kuthomba, vayi lulendi kumbona ko ayi koko ndiela ba beno lulendi kuiza kuna ko e?”
37 Now on the last, great day of the festival, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
Mu lumbu kitsuka ki nyengo, kiawu lumbu kinneni ki nyengo, Yesu wutelama vana ayi wuyamikina: —Enati mutu phuila kadi buna bika kiza kuidi minu ayi kanua.
38 He who believes in me, just as the scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from his stomach.”
Banga bu dikisonimina: woso wukunguilukila, minlangu miwombo mi luzingu miela kumba mu niandi.
39 But he said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him would receive; the Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Wutubila bobo mu diambu di Pheve Yinlongo yela tambula batu babo bela kunwilukila. Mu thangu yina batu batambudi ko Pheve bila buna Yesu katambudi ko nkembo.
40 Some of the crowd, when they heard these words, said, “This is indeed the prophet.”
Batu bawombo mu nkangu bu bawa mambu momo, batuba: —Kiedika mutu wawu mbikudi.
41 Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Does the Christ come from Galilee?
Vayi bankaka ti: —Niandi Klisto. Bankaka ti: —Buna Klisto wulenda kuandi totukila mu Ngalili e?
42 Have the scriptures not said that the Christ will come from the descendants of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”
Tala, masonoko matubanga ko ti Klisto kafueti totukila mu nkuna Dividi ayi kafueti butukila ku Betelemi, buala bu Davidi e?
43 So there arose a division in the crowds because of him.
—Nkangu wu batu wuvasuka mu diambu diandi.
44 Some of them would have arrested him, but no one laid hands on him.
Bankaka bazola kumbuila vayi kadi mutu kasia ku mbuidikisa ko.
45 Then the officers came back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, “Why did you not bring him?”
Minsungi mi Nzo Nzambi mivutuka kuidi bapfumu zinganga Nzambi ayi Bafalisi; bawu baba yuvula: —Bila mbi luisi kuntuadila ko e?
46 The officers answered, “Never has anyone spoken like this.”
Minsungi mivutula: —Kuisi ko mutu wumatuama yolukila banga buyolukidi mutu wowo!
47 So the Pharisees answered them, “Have you also been deceived?
Bafalisi baba yuvula: —Buna beno mamveno luvunukini e?
48 Have any of the rulers believed in him, or any of the Pharisees?
Vadi mutu wumosi mu bapfumu voti mu Bafalisi wuwilukidi mutu wowo e?
49 But this crowd that does not know the law, they are cursed.”
Vayi nkangu wu batu bobo bakambulu zaba Mina, widi wusingu!
50 Nicodemus (one of the Pharisees, who came to him earlier) said to them,
Buna mutu wumosi mu bawu, Nikodemi, mutu wowo wuyenda kuidi Yesu va builu, wuba kamba:
51 “Does our law judge a man before hearing from him and knowing what he does?”
—A buevi, Mina mieto mieti zengila mutu nkanu mu kambu teka wa mutu beni ayi mu kambu teka zaba mambu mbi kavengi e?
52 They answered and said to him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search and see that no prophet comes from Galilee.”
Bamvutudila: —Ayi ngeyo mamvaku widi muisi Ngalili e? Tanga mu Mina ayi yindula masonoko, buna ma wumona ti mbikudi kalendi totukila mu Ngalili ko. [
53 [Then everyone went to his own house.
Buna kadika mutu wuvutuka ku nzoꞌandi.
