Job 37
1 Indeed, my heart trembles at this; it is moved out of its place.
И од тога дрхће срце моје, и одскаче са свог места.
2 Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out from his mouth.
Слушајте добро громовни глас Његов и говор што излази из уста Његових.
3 He sends it out under the whole sky, and he sends out his lightning to the edges of the earth.
Под сва небеса пушта га, и светлост своју до крајева земаљских.
4 A voice roars after it; he thunders with the voice of his majesty; he does not restrain the lightning bolts when his voice is heard.
За њом риче гром, грми гласом величанства свог, нити шта одгађа кад се чује глас Његов.
5 God thunders marvelously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.
Дивно Бог грми гласом својим, чини ствари велике, да их не можемо разумети.
6 For he says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth'; likewise to the rain shower, 'Become a great shower of rain.'
Говори снегу: Падни на земљу; и дажду ситном и дажду силном.
7 He stops the hand of every man from working, so that all people whom he has made may see his deeds.
Запечаћава руку сваком човеку, да позна све посленике своје.
8 Then the beasts go into hiding and stay in their dens.
Тада звер улази у јаму, и остаје на својој ложи.
9 The storm comes from its chamber in the south and the cold from the scattering winds in the north.
С југа долази олуја, и са севера зима.
10 By the breath of God ice is given; the expanse of the waters is frozen like metal.
Од дихања Божијег постаје лед, и широке воде стискају се.
11 Indeed, he weighs down the thick cloud with moisture; he scatters his lightning through the clouds.
И да се натапа земља, натерује облак, и расипа облак светлошћу својом.
12 He swirls the clouds around by his guidance, so that they may do whatever he commands them above the surface of the whole world.
И он се обрће и тамо и амо по вољи Његовој да чини све што му заповеди по васиљеној.
13 He makes all of this happen; sometimes it happens for correction, sometimes for his land, and sometimes as acts of covenant faithfulness.
Чини да се нађе или за кар или за земљу или за доброчинство.
14 Listen to this, Job; stop and think about God's marvelous deeds.
Чуј то, Јове, стани и гледај чудеса Божија.
15 Do you know how God establishes the clouds and makes the lightning bolts to flash in them?
Знаш ли како их Он уређује и како сија светлошћу из облака свог?
16 Do you understand the floating of the clouds, the marvelous deeds of God, who is perfect in knowledge?
Знаш ли како висе облаци? Знаш ли чудеса Оног који је савршен у сваком знању?
17 Do you understand how your garments become hot when the land is still because the wind comes from the south?
Како ти се хаљине угреју кад умири земљу с југа?
18 Can you spread out the sky as he can— the sky, which is as strong as a mirror of cast metal?
Јеси ли ти с Њим разапињао небеса, која стоје тврдо као саливено огледало?
19 Teach us what we should say to him, for we cannot lay out our arguments in order because of the darkness of our minds.
Научи нас шта ћемо Му рећи; не можемо од таме говорити по реду.
20 Should he be told that I wish to speak with him? Would a person wish to be swallowed up?
Хоће ли Му ко приповедити шта бих ја говорио? Ако ли би ко говорио, заиста, био бих прождрт.
21 Now, people cannot look at the sun when it is bright in the sky after the wind has passed through and has cleared it of its clouds.
Али сада не могу људи гледати у светлост кад сјаји на небу, пошто ветар прође и очисти га;
22 Out of the north comes golden splendor— over God is fearsome majesty.
Са севера долази као злато; али је у Богу страшнија слава.
23 As for the Almighty, we cannot find him! He is great in power; he does not oppress justice and abundant righteousness.
Свемогућ је, не можемо Га стигнути; велике је силе, али судом и великом правдом никога не мучи.
24 Therefore, people fear him. He does not pay any attention to those who are wise in their own minds.”
Зато Га се боје људи: Не може Га видети никакав мудрац.
