Ezekiel 6

1 The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

Y vino a mí Palabra del SEÑOR, diciendo:

2 “Son of man, set your face against the mountains of Israel and prophesy to them.

Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro hacia los montes de Israel, y profetiza contra ellos.

3 Say, 'Mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord Yahweh! The Lord Yahweh says this to the mountains and to the hills, to the streambeds, and to the valleys: Behold! I am bringing a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places.

Y dirás: Montes de Israel, oíd palabra del Señor DIOS: Así dijo el Señor DIOS a los montes y a los collados, a los arroyos y a los valles: He aquí que yo, yo hago venir sobre vosotros cuchillo, y destruiré vuestros altos.

4 Then your altars will become desolate and your pillars will be destroyed, and I will throw down your dead in front of their idols.

Y vuestros altares serán asolados, y vuestras imágenes del sol serán quebradas; y haré que caigan vuestros muertos delante de vuestros ídolos.

5 I will lay the dead bodies of the people of Israel before their idols, and scatter your bones around your altars.

Y pondré los cuerpos muertos de los hijos de Israel delante de sus ídolos; y vuestros huesos esparciré en derredor de vuestros altares.

6 Everywhere you live, cities will be laid waste and the high places ruined, so that your altars will be laid waste and made desolate. Then they will be broken and disappear, your pillars will be cut down and your works will be wiped away.

En todas vuestras provincias las ciudades serán desiertas, y los altos serán asolados, para que sean asolados y se hagan desiertos vuestros altares; y vuestros ídolos serán quebrados, y cesarán; y vuestras imágenes del sol serán destruidas, y serán desechas vuestras obras.

7 The dead will fall down in your midst and you will know that I am Yahweh.

Y los muertos caerán en medio de vosotros; y sabréis que soy el SEÑOR.

8 But I will preserve a remnant among you, and there will be some who escape the sword among the nations, when you are scattered throughout the countries.

Mas dejaré que haya de vosotros quien escape del cuchillo entre los gentiles, cuando fuereis esparcidos por las tierras.

9 Then those who escape will think of me among the nations where they will be held captive, that I was grieved by their promiscuous heart that turned away from me, and by their eyes that whored after their idols. Then they will show loathing on their face for the wickedness which they have committed with all their abominations.

Y los que de vosotros escaparen, se acordarán de mí entre los gentiles entre los cuales serán cautivos; porque yo me quebranté a causa de su corazón fornicario, que se apartó de mí, y a causa de sus ojos, que fornicaron tras sus ídolos; y serán confusos en su misma presencia, a causa de los males que hicieron en todas sus abominaciones.

10 So they will know that I am Yahweh. It was for a reason that I said I would bring this evil to them.

Y sabrán que yo soy el SEÑOR, y que no en vano dije que les había de hacer este mal.

11 The Lord Yahweh says this: Clap your hands and stomp your foot! Say, 'Alas!' because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! For they will fall by sword, famine, and plague.

Así dijo el Señor DIOS: Hiere con tu mano, y patea con tu pie, y di: ¡Ay, por todas las abominaciones de los males de la Casa de Israel! Porque con cuchillo, y con hambre, y con pestilencia caerán.

12 The one far away will die by plague, and the one who is near will fall by the sword. Those who remain and survive will die by famine. In this way I will accomplish my fury against them.

El que estuviere lejos, morirá de pestilencia; y el que estuviere cerca caerá a cuchillo; y el que quedare, y el cercado, morirá de hambre; así cumpliré en ellos mi enojo.

13 Then you will know that I am Yahweh, when their dead lie among their idols, around their altars, on every high hill—on all the mountain peaks, and under every flourishing tree and thick oak—the places where they burned incense to all their idols.

Y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR, cuando sus muertos estarán en medio de sus ídolos, en derredor de sus altares, en todo collado alto, y en todas las cumbres de los montes, y debajo de todo árbol sombrío, y debajo de toda encina espesa, lugares donde dieron olor suave a todos sus ídolos.

14 I will strike with my hand and make the land desolate and a waste, from the wilderness to Diblah, throughout all the places where they live. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.”

Y extenderé mi mano sobre ellos, y tornaré la tierra asolada y espantosa, más que el desierto de Diblat, en todas sus habitaciones; y sabrán que yo soy el SEÑOR.
