< 1 Thessalonians 5 >

1 Now concerning the times and seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.
Zvino, hama, kana dziri nguva kana misi hatifaniri kuti tikunyorerei,
2 For you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the Lord is coming like a thief in the night.
nokuti imi munoziva kwazvo kuti zuva raShe richauya sembavha usiku.
3 When they say, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them. It will be like birth pains in a pregnant woman. They will in no way escape.
Vanhu pavanenge vachiti, “Rugare norunyararo,” kuparadzwa kuchasvika pamusoro pavo nokukurumidza, somukadzi ane mimba worwadziwa, uye havangapunyuki.
4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that the day would overtake you like a thief.
Asi imi, hama, hamusi murima zvokuti zuva iri rikusvikirei sembavha.
5 For you are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not sons of the night or the darkness.
Imi mose muri vanakomana vechiedza navanakomana vamasikati. Hatizi vousiku kana verima.
6 So then, let us not sleep as the rest do. Instead, let us keep watch and be sober.
Saka zvino, ngatiregei kuita savamwe vavete, asi ngatisvinurei uye tive vanozvidzora.
7 For those who sleep do so at night, and those who get drunk do so at night.
Nokuti avo vanovata, vanovata usiku, uye avo vanodhakwa, vanodhakwa usiku.
8 But since we belong to the day, we must stay sober and put on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation for our helmet.
Asi sezvo tiri vamasikati, ngatizvidzorei, takapfeka kutenda norudo sechidzitiro chechipfuva, netariro yoruponeso senguwani.
9 For God did not appoint us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Nokuti Mwari haana kutisarudza kuti tive vokutsamwirwa asi kuti tigamuchire ruponeso kubudikidza naIshe wedu Jesu Kristu.
10 It is he who died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.
Akatifira isu kuitira kuti, kunyange takasvinura kana tivete, tigare pamwe chete naye.
11 Therefore comfort one another and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
Naizvozvo kurudziranai uye muvakane, sezvamunoita zvino.
