1 Therefore you have nothing to say in your own defence, whoever you are who set yourself up as a judge. In judging others you condemn yourself, for you who set yourself up as a judge do the very same things.
Kwa nneyo, monaga nkwiitemba kwaukumula bhananji, nkakola sha kwiibheleketela. Nnakwiukumula mmayene, pabha numbe mmwe inkutenda yoyo peyo.
2 And we know that God’s judgment falls unerringly upon those who do them.
Na uwe tumumanyi kuti ukumu ja a Nnungu ni ja kweli, kwa bhatendanga indu malinga yeneyo.
3 You who judge those that do such things and yet are yourself guilty of them — do you suppose that you of all men will escape God’s judgment?
Ikabheje mmwe anamundupe, nkwaukumulanga bhaatendanga indu malinga yeneyo, akuno mmayene nnitenda yoyo. Bhuli, punkuganishiya kuti shimwiembuye na ukumu ja a Nnungu?
4 Or do you think lightly of his abundant kindness, patience, and forbearance, not realising that his kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?
Eu nnakuunyegaya uguja gwa a Nnungu, na kwiitimalika na kwiipililila kwabho, gwangali kumumanya kuti uguja gwabho unakunnongoya mwiipete?
5 Hard-hearted and impenitent as you are, you are storing up for yourself Wrath on the ‘Day of Wrath,’ when God’s justice as a judge will be revealed;
Ikabheje kwa ligongo lya mitau na nonopa kwa ntima gwenu, nnakwiigosheya nnjimwa, lyubha lya nnjimwa ja a Nnungu, na ukumu jabho ja aki.
6 for ‘he will give to every man what his actions deserve.’
Pabha lyene lyubhalyo, a Nnungu bhapinga kwiya kwaalipanga bhandunji bhowe malinga ibhatendangaga.
7 To those who, by perseverance in doing good, aim at glory, honour, and all that is imperishable, he will give Immortal Life; (aiōnios g166)
Bhene bhaatendanga ya uguja gwangali kutotoshela, bhanaloleyanga kukopoka kwa a Nnungu, ukonjelo na ishimika na gumi gwangali angabhanika, na shibhapegwanje gumi gwa pitipiti. (aiōnios g166)
8 while as to those who are factious, and disobedient to Truth but obedient to Evil, wrath and anger, distress and despair,
Ikabheje bhananji bhaakwetelanga na bhaakananga indu ya aki bhala, nikagulila yangali ya mmbone, shibhajibhonanje nnjimwa ja a Nnungu.
9 will fall upon every human being who persists in wrong-doing — upon the Jew first, but also upon the Greek.
Mboteko na shilaje shiimpate mundu jojowe atenda yangali ya mmbone, kutandubhila Bhayaudi na Bhagiliki.
10 But there will be glory, honour, and peace for every one who does right — for the Jew first, but also for the Greek,
Ikabheje, ukonjelo na ishima na ulele, shibhapegwanje bhandunji bhaatendanga indu ya aki bhala, kutandubhila Bhayaudi na Bhagiliki.
11 since God shows no partiality.
Pabha a Nnungu bhangali luagu.
12 All who, when they sin, are without Law will also perish without Law; while all who, when they sin, are under Law, will be judged as being under Law.
Bhowe bhatendilenje yambi gwangali kujimanya shalia ja a Musha, shibhapotekwanje nngabha kwa ligongo lya shalia, na bhowe bhatendilenje yambi akuno bhalikujimanyanga shalia ja a Musha, shibhaukumulwanje kwa tolelela shalia ja a Musha pejo.
13 It is not those who hear the words of a Law that are righteous before God, but it is those who obey it that will be pronounced righteous.
Na nngabha bhakujipilikananga shalia ni bhakwete aki kwa a Nnungu, ikabheje bhaakundanga shalia bhala, nibhaakolanga aki.
14 When Gentiles, who have no Law, do instinctively what the Law requires, they, though they have no Law, are a Law to themselves;
Bhandunji bha ilambo ina bhangalinginji shalia, pubhaatendanga indu ya shalia kwa ng'aniyo ya muntima gwabhonji bhanabhanganga bhandunji bha shalia, nkali bhanakolanje shalia.
15 for they show the demands of the Law written upon their hearts; their consciences corroborating it, while in their thoughts they argue either in self-accusation or, it may be, in self-defence —
Bhanalanguyanga malajilo ga shalia jijandishwe mmitima jabhonji, ng'aniyo yabhonji ilikwakong'ondelanga na ilikwalonganga na guna ilikwaabheleketelanga ashaayenenji.
16 on the day when God passes judgment on men’s inmost lives, as the Good News that I tell declares that he will do through Christ Jesus.
Yeneyo ni ipinga koposhela, lyubha lya ukumu ja a Nnungu, pushibhaukumule indu ya nng'iyo kupitila a Yeshu Kilishitu, malinga shijikuti taya Ngani ja Mmbone jingulunguyaji.
17 But, perhaps, you bear the name of ‘Jew,’ and are relying upon Law, and boast of belonging to God, and understand his will,
Pabha mmwe nkwiishema mmayene Mmayaudi, nnakulupalila shalia, na nnakwiiniya kuti bha a Nnungu.
18 and, having been carefully instructed from the Law, have learned to appreciate the finer moral distinctions.
Mmwe nnikuimanya ibhapinga a Nnungu, na kunda indu ya mmbone, pabha nshijiganywa na shalia.
19 Perhaps you are confident that you are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in the dark, an instructor of the unintelligent,
Mmwe punkwiiganishiya kuti mmayene akalongolele bha ashinangalole, na kabhili mmwe shilangaya sha bhandu bhalinginji nnubhindu,
20 and a teacher of the childish, because in the Law you possess the outline of all Knowledge and Truth.
mmajiganya bha mabhelu na bhana bhashoko, pabha kwa shalia, mwiimanyi ukoto indu ya lumanyio na kweli.
21 Why, then, you teacher of others, do not you teach yourself? Do you preach against stealing, and yet steal?
Bhai mmwe nkwaajiganyanga bhananji, kwa nndi nkakwiijiganya mmayene? Mmwe nkwaalimbiyanga bhananji bhanajibhanje, akuno mmayene nnijibha.
22 Do you forbid adultery, and yet commit adultery? Do you loathe idols, and yet plunder temples?
Mmwe nkulunguya kuti, “Mundu analabhelabhe” akuno mmayene nnilabhalabha. Inakunshima yanamu ya ashinnungu, mbena nnijibha indu ya mmajumba gabhonji.
23 Boasting, as you do, of your Law, do you dishonour God by breaking the Law?
Nnikwiiniya kuti nkwete shalia ja a Nnungu, nkakumumanya kuti kuleka kamula shalia, nnakwanyegaya a Nnungu?
24 For, as Scripture says — ‘The name of God is reviled among the Gentiles because of you’!
Malinga Majandiko ga Ukonjelo shigalugula, “Bhandunji bha ilambo ina, bhashikulitukananga lina lya a Nnungu, kwa ligongo lyenunji.”
25 Circumcision has its value, if you are obeying the Law. But, if you are a breaker of the Law, your circumcision is no better than uncircumcision.
Pabha kujaluka kunapwaa punkukamulila shalia ja a Musha, ikabheje nkakamulile shalia ja a Musha, shimme mbuti mmalenje.
26 If, then, an uncircumcised man pays regard to the requirements of the Law, will not he, although not circumcised, be regarded by God as if he were?
Bhai monaga mundu jwangajaluka anakamulila shalia ja a Musha, bhuli na ulenje gwakwe akaganishiywa kuti ajalwishe?
27 Indeed, the man who, owing to his birth, remains uncircumcised, and yet scrupulously obeys the Law, will condemn you, who, for all your written Law and your circumcision, are yet a breaker of the Law.
Na jwene jwa nngabha munkubho gwa jaluka, ikabhe anakamulila shalia ja a Musha, bhuli akanng'ukumula mmwe nni munkubho gwa jaluka, na akuno nkakamulila shalia ja a Musha?
28 For a man who is only a Jew outwardly is not a real Jew; nor is outward bodily circumcision real circumcision. The real Jew is the man who is a Jew in soul;
Pabha jwenejo, nngabha Nnyaudi kwa bhoneka palanga, na kujaluka nngabha kwa nshiilupe.
29 and the real circumcision is the circumcision of the heart, a spiritual and not a literal thing. Such a man wins praise from God, though not from men.
Ikabhe jwenejo ni Nnyaudi, ali Nnyaudi jwa nkati, na kujaluka kwakwe kwa muntima kwa Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo, nngabha kwa mmajandiko ga shalia. Mundu jwa nneyo, kuiniywa kwakwe nngabha kubhandunji ikabhe kwa a Nnungu.
