Mark 3
1 On another occasion Jesus went in to a Synagogue, where there was a man whose hand was withered.
Als er wieder einmal in das Versammlungshaus kam, war dort ein Mann mit einem abgestorbenen Arm.
2 And they watched Jesus closely, to see if he would cure the man on the Sabbath, so that they might have a charge to bring against him.
Und sie lauerten ihm auf, ob er ihn wohl am Sabbat heilen werden; denn sie suchten einen Grund, ihn zu verklagen.
3 “Stand out in the middle,” Jesus said to the man with the withered hand;
Da sprach er zu dem Mann mit dem abgestorbenen Arm: "Steh auf, tritt vor!"
4 and to the people he said: “Is it allowable to do good on the Sabbath — or harm? to save a life, or destroy it?”
Dann fragte er sie: "Soll man am Sabbat lieber Gutes oder Böses tun, ein Leben retten oder vernichten?" Sie aber schwiegen.
5 As they remained silent, Jesus looked round at them in anger, grieving at the hardness of their hearts, and said to the man: “Stretch out your hand.” The man stretched it out; and his hand had become sound.
Da sah er sie ringsum zornig an und zugleich voll Trauer über die Verstocktheit ihres Herzens. Dann sprach er zu dem Mann: "Strecke deinen Arm aus!" Da streckte er ihn aus, und sein Arm ward wiederhergestellt.
6 Immediately on leaving the Synagogue, the Pharisees and the Herodians united in laying a plot against Jesus, to put him to death.
Als die Pharisäer den Gottesdienst verließen, berieten sie sich alsbald mit den Anhängern des Herodes wider ihn, wie sie ihn zu Tode bringen könnten.
7 Then Jesus went away with his disciples to the Sea, followed by a great number of people from Galilee.
Jesus ging hierauf mit seinen Jüngern an den See zurück, und eine große Volksmenge aus Galiläa zog ihm nach. Auch aus Judäa
8 And a great number, hearing of all that he was doing, came to him from Judea, from Jerusalem, from Edom, from beyond the Jordan, and from the country round Tyre and Sidon.
und Jerusalem, aus Idumäa, dem Ostjordanland und aus der Gegend von Tyrus und Sidon kamen die Leute auf die Kunde von seinen Taten in großen Scharen zu ihm.
9 So Jesus told his disciples to keep a small boat close by, for fear the crowd should crush him.
Da sagte er zu seinen Jüngern, es solle der vielen Leute wegen stets ein Boot für ihn bereitstehen, damit man ihn nicht dränge.
10 For he had cured many of them, and so people kept crowding upon him, that all who were afflicted might touch him.
Denn weil er viele heilte, so stürzten sich alle, die ein Leiden hatten, auf ihn, um ihn anzurühren.
11 The foul spirits, too, whenever they caught sight of him, flung themselves down before him, and screamed out: “You are the Son of God”!
Und wenn ihn die unreinen Geister erblickten, so fielen sie vor ihm nieder und schrien: "Du bist Gottes Sohn!"
12 But he repeatedly warned them not to make him known.
Aber dann verbot er ihnen aufs strengste, ihn bekanntzumachen.
13 And Jesus made his way up the hill, and called those whom he wished; and they went to him.
Eines Tages ging er auf das Gebirge. Dorthin rief er zu sich, die er selbst bestimmte, und sie kamen zu ihm.
14 And he appointed twelve — whom he also named ‘Apostles’ — that they might be with him, and that he might send them out as his Messengers, to preach,
Aus ihnen erwählte er zwölf, die sollten ständig um ihn sein, und er wollte sie aussenden, damit sie das Wort verkündigten
15 and with power to drive out demons.
und auch die Macht besäßen, die bösen Geister auszutreiben.
16 So he appointed the Twelve — Peter (which was the name that Jesus gave to Simon),
Dies sind nun die Zwölf, die er bestellte: Simon, dem er den Namen Petrus gab;
17 James, the son of Zebediah, and his brother John (to whom he gave the name of Boanerges, which means the Thunderers),
ferner Jakobus, der Sohn des Zebedäus, und Johannes, der Bruder des Jakobus, denen er den Namen Boanerges, das heißt Donnersöhne, gab;
18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot,
ferner Andreas, Philippus, Bartholomäus, Matthäus, Thomas, Jakobus, der Sohn des Alphäus, Thaddäus, Simon der Eiferer
19 and Judas Iscariot, the man that betrayed him.
und Judas aus Kariot, der ihn verraten hat.
20 Jesus went into a house; and again a crowd collected, so that they were not able even to eat their food.
Als er nach Hause kam, sammelten sich wieder viele Leute, so daß sie nicht einmal Gelegenheit hatten, einen Imbiß zu nehmen.
21 When his relations heard of it, they went to take charge of him, for they said that he was out of his mind.
Als seine Verwandten das erfuhren, kamen sie herbei, um ihn mit Gewalt hinwegzuführen. Denn sie sagten: "Er ist von Sinnen!"
22 And the Teachers of the Law, who had come down from Jerusalem, said: “He has Baal-zebub in him, and he drives the demons out by the help of Baal-zebub, their chief.”
Die Schriftgelehrten aber, die von Jerusalem gekommen waren, sprachen: "Er ist besessen von Beelzebul, und im Bunde mit dem Obersten der bösen Geister treibt er die Teufel aus."
23 So Jesus called them to him, and answered them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan?
Da rief er sie heran und wandte sich an sie in einer Gleichnisrede. "Wie ist es möglich", so sprach er, "daß der Satan den Satan austreiben kann?
24 When a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot last;
Ein Reich, das in sich selbst uneins ist, ein solches Reich kann nicht stehen.
25 and when a household is divided against itself, it will not be able to last.
Ein Haus, das in sich selbst uneins ist, ein solches Haus kann nicht bestehen.
26 So, if Satan is in revolt against himself and is divided, he cannot last — his end has come!
Wenn sich nun der Satan gegen seine eigene Macht erhebt und mit sich selbst uneins ist, so kann er nicht länger bestehen, sondern es ist aus mit ihm.
27 “No man who has got into a strong man’s house can carry off his goods, without first securing him; and not till then will he plunder his house.
Niemand kann in das Haus eines starken Kriegsmannes dringen und ihm seinen Hausrat rauben, wenn er nicht zuvor den Starken bindet; dann erst kann er sein Haus berauben.
28 I tell you that men will be forgiven everything — their sins, and all the slanders that they utter;
Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Alle Sünden werden den Menschenkindern vergeben, auch alle Lästerungen, die sie aussprechen mögen.
30 This was said in reply to the charge that he had a foul spirit in him.
So sprach Jesus, weil sie sagten: "Er hat einen unreinen Geist."
31 And his mother and his brothers came, and stood outside, and sent to ask him to come to them.
Da kamen seine Brüder und seine Mutter. Die blieben draußen stehen und ließen ihn zu sich rufen.
32 There was a crowd sitting round Jesus, and some of them said to him: “Look, your mother and your brothers are outside, asking for you.”
Es saß aber eine Menge Menschen um ihn. Da sagte man zu ihm: "Sieh, deine Mutter, deine Brüder und deine Schwestern sind draußen und fragen nach dir."
33 “Who is my mother? and my brothers?” was his reply.
Er antwortete: "Wer ist meine Mutter? Wer sind meine Brüder?"
34 Then he looked around on the people sitting in a circle round him, and said: “Here are my mother and my brothers!
Dann sah er auf die, die rings im Kreis um ihn saßen, und sprach: "Da seht meine Mutter und meine Brüder!
35 Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”
Denn wer den Willen Gottes tut, der ist mir Bruder, Schwester und Mutter."
