< 2 Peter 1 >

1 To those to whom, through the justice of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ, there has been granted faith equally privileged with our own, from Simon Peter, a servant and an Apostle of Jesus Christ.
Susura ia mia au, Simon Petrus. Au dadꞌi Yesus Kristus atahori dedꞌenun. Au o dadꞌi Eni atahori dedꞌenun, fo Ana denu sudꞌiꞌ a bee uu fo ufadꞌe atahori soꞌal Eni. Au suraꞌ susura ia fee neu hei mana mimihere neu Yesus Kristus ena. Huu Lamatualain ralan ndoos, de Ana soi dalaꞌ fo hei bisa mimihere neu Kristus, onaꞌ hai boe. Nemehereꞌ naa, mafelit soaꞌ neu basa nggita. Kristus o dadꞌi hita Lamatualain, ma Eni o dadꞌi atahori mana tefa-soi hita mia sala tara.
2 May blessing and peace be yours in ever-increasing measure, as you advance in the knowledge of God and of Jesus, our Lord.
Au oꞌe fo hei bisa mihine malolole Lamatualain, ma mihine malolole hita Lamatuan Yesus. Hela fo ara ratudꞌu rala malole Nara neu nggi, fo ama bisa misodꞌa no mole-dꞌame ma neenee-linolino.
3 For his divine power has given us everything that is needful for a life of piety, as we advance in the knowledge of him who called us by a glorious manifestation of his goodness.
Yesus koasan onaꞌ Lamatualain koasan boe. Naa de Yesus fee nggita basa saa fo hita parlu, fo tasodꞌa matetuꞌ tungga Lamatuaꞌ hihii-nanaun. Ana tao taꞌo naa, huu tahine malolole E. Ma Ana mana noꞌe nala nggita fo dadꞌi atahorin, huu Eni maloleꞌ ma manaseliꞌ
4 For it was through this that he gave us what we prize as the greatest of his promises, that through them you might participate in the divine nature, now that you have fled from the corruption in the world, resulting from human passions.
Yesus fee basa dala pantin ra neu nggita. Huu dalahulun, Ana helu-fuli nae fee dalaꞌ naa ra ena. Hehelu-fufuli nara, malolen seli. Ana fee basa naa ra neu nggita, fo rala tara bisa dadꞌi onaꞌ Lamatuaꞌ ralan boe. Ma hita o bisa tala seri mia basa dalaꞌ deꞌulakaꞌ fo atahori raefafoꞌ hiiꞌ a taoꞌ ra, huu rasodꞌa tunggaꞌ a hihii-nanau nara, ma nda raꞌamamateꞌ rala sa.
5 Yes, and for this very reason do your best to supplement your faith by goodness, goodness by knowledge,
Tao mikindooꞌ a dala maloleꞌ ra. Mihine Lamatuaꞌ no malole.
6 knowledge by self-control, self-control by endurance, endurance by piety,
Te afiꞌ losaꞌ a naa. Minori fo misodꞌa miꞌimamateꞌ ao mara. Tao basa-bꞌasaꞌ e tungga Lamatuaꞌ hihii-nanaun.
7 piety by brotherly affection, and brotherly affection by love.
Te afiꞌ losaꞌ a naa. Mitudꞌu susueꞌ neu toronoo atahori mamahere tara. Te naa nda feꞌe dai sa. Huu hei musi misodꞌa sue-lai basa atahori mikindoo.
8 For, when these virtues are yours, in increasing measure, they prevent your being indifferent to, or destitute of, a fuller knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Huu dalaꞌ ia ra tao nggi mihine malolole E.
9 Surely the man who has not these virtues is shortsighted even to blindness, and has chosen to forget that he has been purified from his sins of the past!
Mete ma hambu atahori nda nau tao taꞌo naa sa, ana duꞌa eꞌekuꞌ a. Ana nda nita saa mana hambu sia matan sa, Ana onaꞌ pokeꞌ. Lamatuaꞌ fee ambon neu atahori naa sala nara fo ralan bisa meuꞌ. Te atahori naa liliiꞌ ena!
10 Therefore, Brothers, do your best to put God’s Call and Selection of you beyond all doubt; for, if you do this, you will never fall.
Toronoo susueꞌ re! Ia na ama musi mimbiriꞌ mihereꞌ lenaꞌ fai. Lamatuaꞌ pili nala nggi dadꞌi atahorin ena, de ima misiꞌ E. Ia na, musi mitudꞌu mae, hei dadꞌi Eni bobꞌonggin ena. Mete ma dalaꞌ ia ra fo au ufadꞌe faꞌ ra boe namanae nakandooꞌ a sia masodꞌa mara, na, hei nda tudꞌa sa.
11 For thus you will be given a triumphant admission into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
No taꞌo naa, Lamatualain nau fee nggi dalaꞌ sa manaseliꞌ. Naa de Ana soi dalaꞌ ma fee nggi hak fo simbo Yesus Kristus dadꞌi hei Manem fo misodꞌa mikindoo mo E. Te Eni, hita Lamatuan. Ma Eni o, Atahori mana fee masoi-masodꞌaꞌ neu nggita mia sala tara. (aiōnios g166)
12 I shall, therefore, always be ready to remind you of all this, even though you know it and are firmly established in the Truth that you now hold.
Hei mihine dalaꞌ fo faꞌ ra au ufadꞌeꞌ naa ra ena, ma ama miꞌitataaꞌ mihereꞌ huu ama mimihere neu saa fo ndoo-tetuꞌ a. Mae taꞌo naa o, au ae fee nesenenedꞌaꞌ usufafali dalaꞌ ia ra neu nggi, naa fo hei nda liliiꞌ sa.
13 But I think it my duty, as long as I live in this ‘tent,’ to rouse you by awakening memories of the past;
14 for I know that the time for this ‘tent’ of mine to be put away is soon coming, as our Lord Jesus Christ himself assured me.
Nda dooꞌ sa, te au mate ena. Hita Lamatuan Yesus Kristus nafadꞌe neu au taꞌo naa ena. Naa de au uhine memaꞌ ena.
15 So I will do my best to enable you, at any time after my departure, to call these truths to mind.
Leleꞌ ia au ue-tao tebꞌe-tebꞌeꞌ, fo mae dei fo au mate o, ama misinedꞌa mikindoo dalaꞌ ia ra.
16 For we were not following cleverly devised stories when we told you of the Coming in power of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we had been eye-witnesses of his majesty.
Tebꞌe, to? Te naa nda dudꞌuit lelekoꞌ sa. Huu hai duiꞌ saa fo hai parna mita no mata ao mara!
17 For he received honour and glory from God the Father, when from the Glory of the Divine Majesty there were borne to his ears words such as these — ‘This is my Son, my Beloved, in whom I delight.’
Huu leleꞌ naa, hai rena hara maloleꞌ manaseliꞌ sa mia lalai a oi, “Ia, Au Ana susue ngga. Ana tao namahoꞌo rala ngga.”
18 These were the words that we heard, borne to our ears from Heaven, when we were with him on that Sacred Mountain.
19 And still stronger is the assurance that we have in the teaching of the Prophets; to which you will do well to pay attention (as if it were a lamp shining in a gloomy place), until the Day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts.
Naa tao nggita boe tamahere soꞌal dalaꞌ ra fo hita simbo mia Lamatuaꞌ mana ola-olan dalahuluꞌ ra ena. Dadꞌi malole lenaꞌ ama tao tungga hehelu-fufulin nara! No taꞌo naa, ama boe mihine mikindooꞌ a. Huu naa onaꞌ hei mita ndu fefetuꞌ a naꞌahuluꞌ, dei de relo a todꞌa fo tao basaꞌ e manggareloꞌ.
20 But first be assured of this: — There is no prophetic teaching found in Scripture that can be interpreted by man’s unaided reason;
Misinedꞌa te Lamatuaꞌ mana ola-ola nara rafadꞌe memaꞌ soꞌal dalaꞌ hetar ena.
21 for no prophetic teaching ever came in the old days at the mere wish of man, but men, moved by the Holy Spirit, spoke direct from God.
