< Psalms 30 >

1 Yahweh, I praise you because you rescued me. You did not allow [me to die], [with the result that] my enemies could gloat/rejoice.
Salamo. Fihirana tamin’ ny nitokanana ny trano. Nataon’ i Davida. Hanandratra Anao aho, Jehovah ô; fa nanintona ahy niakatra Hianao, ka tsy nataonao ho fifalian’ ny fahavaloko aho.
2 Yahweh, my God, I called out for you to help [me when I was ill], and you healed me.
Jehovah Andriamanitro ô, nitaraina taminao aho, dia nahasitrana ahy Hianao.
3 You saved/restored me when I was dying [MTY]. I was nearly dead, but you caused me to get well again. (Sheol h7585)
Jehovah ô, efa nampakatra ny fanahiko avy tany amin’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita Hianao; efa nampody ny aiko Hianao, mba tsy ho isan’ izay midìna any an-davaka aho. (Sheol h7585)
4 All you who belong to Yahweh, sing praise to him! Think about what [God], the holy one, has done, and thank him!
Mankalazà an’ i Jehovah, ry olony masìna, ka miderà ny anarany masìna.
5 When he becomes angry, he is angry for only a very short time [HYP], but he is good [to us] all of our life. We may cry during the night, but the next morning we will be joyful.
Fa indray mipi-maso ihany ny fahatezerany; nefa mandritra ny andro iainana kosa ny fankasitrahany; amin’ ny hariva dia misy fitomaniana tonga hivahiny miloaka alina; Fa nony maraina kosa dia misy fihobiana.
6 As for me, when I had no troubles, I said [to myself], “No one will defeat me!”
Ary hoy izaho, raha mbola niadana: tsy hangozohozo mandrakizay aho.
7 Yahweh, because you were good to me, at first you caused me to be safe [as though I was inside] [MET] a mountain. But then [I became ill, and I thought that] you had turned away from me, and I became afraid.
Jehovah ô, noho ny fankasitrahanao dia nampitoerinao mafy ny tendrombohitro; nanafina ny tavanao Hianao, dia ory aho.
8 [Then] I called out to you, and I pleaded for you [to help me].
Hianao no nantsoiko, Jehovah ô; ary Jehovah no nifonako hoe:
9 [I said], “Yahweh, (what will you gain if I die?/ you won’t gain anything if I die) [MTY]. (In what way will it benefit you?/it won’t benefit you at all) if I go to the place where the dead people are [RHQ]. Dead people are certainly not able to praise you [RHQ], and they are not able to tell others that you are trustworthy [RHQ]!
Inona no soa azo amin’ ny rako sy ny hidinako any an-davaka? Hidera Anao va ny vovoka? Hanambara ny fahamarinanao va izany?
10 Yahweh, listen to me, and be merciful to me! Yahweh, help me!”
Mihainoa, Jehovah ô, ka mamindrà fo amiko; Jehovah ô, aoka ho Mpamonjy ahy Hianao.
11 But [now you have healed me], and you have caused me to change from being sad to dancing [joyfully]. You have taken away the clothes that showed that I was very sad and you have given me clothes that showed that I was [very] joyful.
Efa nampody ny fisaonako ho fandihizana Hianao; efa nanaisotra ny lamba fisaonako Hianao ka nampisikina ahy fifaliana,
12 So I will not be silent; I will sing out [loudly] to praise you. Yahweh, you are my God, and I will thank you forever.
Mba hankalazan’ ny fanahiko Anao ka tsy hangina. Jehovah Andriamanitro ô, hidera Anao mandrakizay aho.
