Psalms 120

1 When I had troubles, I called out to Yahweh and he answered me.

Në ankthin tim i klitha Zotit, dhe ai m’u përgjigj.

2 [I prayed], “Yahweh, rescue/save me from people [SYN, MTY] who lie to me and [try to] deceive me!”

O Zot, më çliro nga buzët gënjeshtare dhe nga gjuha mashtruese.

3 You people who lie to me, [I will tell you] [RHQ] what [God] will do to you and what he will do to punish you.

Çfarë do të të japin ose çfarë do të të shtojnë, o gjuhë gënjeshtare?

4 He will shoot sharp arrows at you like soldiers do, and he will [burn you with] red-hot coals from [the wood of] a broom tree.

Shigjeta të mprehta të një trimi, me qymyr dëllinje.

5 It is terrible for me, living among cruel/savage [DOU] people [like those who live] in Meshech [region] and Kedar [region].

I mjeri unë, që banoj në Meshek dhe që strehohem në çadrat e Kedarit!

6 I have lived for a long time among people who hate [to live with others] peacefully.

Tepër gjatë kam banuar me ata që e urrejnë paqen.

7 Every time I talk about living together peacefully, they talk about starting a war.

Unë jam për paqen; ata përkundrazi, kur unë flas, janë për luftën.
