Jeremiah 28
1 When Zedekiah had been the King of Judah for more than three years, late in the (summer/hot season), Azzur’s son Hananiah, a prophet from Gibeon [city], spoke to me in the [courtyard of the] temple, while [all] the priests and other people were listening. He said,
Und im selbigen Jahr, im Anfang des Königreichs Zedekias, des Königs Judas, im fünften Monden des vierten Jahres, sprach Hananja, der Sohn Azurs, ein Prophet von Gibeon, zu mir im Hause des HERRN in Gegenwart der Priester und alles Volks und sagte:
2 “This is what the Commander of the armies of angels, the God whom [we] Israelis [worship], says: ‘I will cause the king of Babylon to stop ruling/controlling [MET] [all of you].
So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Ich habe das Joch des Königs zu Babel zerbrochen;
3 (Within two years/Before two years have ended), I will cause to be brought bring back to this temple all the valuable things that King Nebuchadnezzar’s [soldiers] took from this temple and took to Babylon.
und ehe zwei Jahre um sind, will ich alle Gefäße des Hauses des HERRN, welche Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, hat von diesem Ort weggenommen und gen Babel geführt, wiederum an diesen Ort bringen.
4 And I will also cause King Jehoiachin to be brought back here, and all the [other] people who were captured and taken to Babylon. The king of Babylon has [forced you to do what he wants, like someone] puts a yoke [on the neck of an ox to force it to do what he] wants [MET] it to do. But I will cause that to end. [That will happen because] I, Yahweh, have said it.’”
Dazu Jechanja, den Sohn Jojakims, den König Judas, samt allen Gefangenen aus Juda, die gen Babel geführet sind, will ich auch wieder an diesen Ort bringen, spricht der HERR; denn ich will das Joch des Königs zu Babel zerbrechen.
5 I replied to Hananiah in front of [all] the priests and other people who were standing outside the temple.
Da sprach der Prophet Jeremia zu dem Propheten Hananja in Gegenwart der Priester und des ganzen Volks, die im Hause des HERRN stunden,
6 I said, “(Amen/May that happen)! I desire/hope that what you have predicted will happen. I hope/desire that Yahweh will do everything that you have said! I hope/desire that he will cause [men from Babylon] to bring back from Babylon [all] the valuable things that were in this temple, and all the people who were taken [to Babylon].
und sagte: Amen, der HERR tue also! Der HERR bestätige dein Wort, das du geweissaget hast, daß er die Gefäße aus dem Hause des HERRN von Babel wiederbringe an diesen Ort samt allen Gefangenen.
7 But now listen to what I say to you while all these people are listening.
Aber doch höre auch dies Wort, das ich vor deinen Ohren rede und vor den Ohren des ganzen Volks:
8 Many years ago, those who were prophets before you and I [became prophets] spoke messages about many nations and great kingdoms. They predicted/prophesied that wars and disasters and plagues/diseases would occur in those nations.
Die Propheten, die vor mir und vor dir gewesen sind von alters her, die haben wider viel Länder und große Königreiche geweissaget, von Krieg, von Unglück und von Pestilenz;
9 [So now you or] any other prophet who predicts that things will go well [for us must show that your message is correct. Only] if what you predict actually happens will we know that you were truly appointed by Yahweh.”
wenn aber ein Prophet von Friede weissaget, den wird man kennen, ob ihn der HERR wahrhaftig gesandt hat, wenn sein Wort erfüllet wird.
10 Then Hananiah took the yoke off my neck and broke it.
Da nahm der Prophet Hananja das Joch vom Halse des Propheten Jeremia und zerbrach's.
11 Then he said this to all the people who were there: “This is what Yahweh says: ‘Just like Hananiah has broken this yoke, within two years I will cause King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon to [stop forcing the people to do what he wants, which has been like] a heavy yoke on all their necks [MET].’” After Hananiah said that, I left the temple area.
Und Hananja sprach in Gegenwart des ganzen Volks: So spricht der HERR: Ebenso will ich zerbrechen das Joch Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel, ehe zwei Jahre umkommen, vom Halse aller Völker. Und der Prophet Jeremia ging seines Weges.
12 [Soon] after Hananiah had broken the yoke that was around my neck, Yahweh gave this message to me:
Aber der HERRN Wort geschah zu Jeremia, nachdem der Prophet Hananja das Joch zerbrochen hatte vom Halse des Propheten Jeremia, und sprach:
13 “Go and say this to Hananiah: ‘Yahweh says that you have broken a wooden yoke, but that he will replace it with an iron yoke.
Gehe hin und sage Hananja: So spricht der HERR: Du hast das hölzerne Joch zerbrochen; so mache nun ein eisern Joch an jenes Statt.
14 I have forced the people of all these nations to [become slaves of] King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. That is [like] [MET] an iron yoke around their necks. I have put everything, even wild animals, under his control.’”
Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Ein eisern Joch habe ich allen diesen Völkern an den Hals gehänget, damit sie dienen sollen Nebukadnezar, dem Könige zu Babel, und müssen ihm dienen; denn ich habe ihm auch die wilden Tiere gegeben.
15 Then I [went to] Hananiah and said to him, “Hananiah, listen [to this]: Yahweh has not appointed you; instead, [you have told] lies to the people, and they have believed your lies.
Und der Prophet Jeremia sprach zum Propheten Hananja: Höre doch, Hananja! Der HERR hat dich nicht gesandt, und du hast gemacht, daß dies Volk auf Lügen sich verläßt.
16 Therefore, this is what Yahweh says: ‘You will [soon] die. Before the end of this year, you will die, because you have rebelled against Yahweh.’”
Darum spricht der HERR also: Siehe, ich will dich vom Erdboden nehmen; dies Jahr sollst du sterben; denn du hast sie mit deiner Rede vom HERRN abgewendet.
17 Hananiah died two months later.
Also starb der Prophet Hananja desselbigen Jahres im siebenten Monden.
