Genesis 5
1 Here is a list of the descendants of Adam. When God created humans, he caused them to be like him in many ways.

2 He created one man and one woman. He blessed them, and on the day that he created them, he called them ‘human beings’.
und schuf sie ein Männlein und Fräulein; und segnete sie und hieß ihren Namen Mensch zur Zeit, da sie geschaffen wurden.
3 When Adam was 130 years old, he became the father of a son who [grew up to] be just like him. That was the son he named Seth.
Und Adam war hundertunddreißig Jahre alt und zeugete einen Sohn. der seinem Bilde ähnlich war, und hieß ihn Seth;
4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 more years, and during those years he became the father of other sons and daughters.
und lebte danach achthundert Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
5 Adam lived 930 years altogether, and then he died.
daß sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertunddreißig Jahre, und starb.
6 When Seth was 105 years old, he became the father of Enosh.
Seth war hundertundfünf Jahre alt und zeugte Enos;
7 After Enosh was born, Seth lived 807 more years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
und lebte danach achthundertundsieben Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
8 Seth lived 912 years altogether, and then he died.
daß sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertundzwölf Jahre, und starb.
9 When Enosh was 90 years old, he became the father of Kenan.
Enos war neunzig Jahre alt und zeugete Kenan;
10 After Kenan was born, Enosh lived 815 more years and became the father of other sons and daughters.
und lebte danach achthundertundfünfzehn Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
11 Enosh lived 905 years altogether, and then he died.

12 When Kenan was 70 years old, he became the father of Mahalalel.
Kenan war siebenzig Jahre alt und zeugete Mahalaleel;

und lebte danach achthundertundvierzig Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
14 Kenan lived 910 years altogether, and then he died.

15 When Mahalalel was 65 years old, he became the father of Jared.
Mahalaleel war fünfundsechzig Jahre alt und zeugete Jared;
16 After Jared was born, Mahalalel lived 830 more years and became the father of other sons and daughters.
und lebte danach achthundertunddreißig Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
17 Mahalalel lived 895 years altogether, and then he died.

18 When Jared was 162 years old, he became the father of Enoch.
Jared war hundertundzweiundsechzig Jahre alt und zeugete Henoch;
19 Jared lived 800 years after Enoch was born, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
und lebte danach achthundert Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
20 Jared lived 962 years altogether, and then he died.
daß sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertzweiundsechzig Jahre, und starb.
21 When Enoch was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah.
Henoch war fünfundsechzig Jahre alt und zeugete Methusalah.
22 Enoch lived in close fellowship with God for 300 years after Methuselah was born, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
Und nachdem er Methusalah gezeuget hatte, blieb er in einem göttlichen Leben dreihundert Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
23 Enoch lived 365 years altogether in close fellowship with God.
daß sein ganzes Alter ward dreihundertfünfundsechzig Jahre.
24 Then one day he disappeared, because God took him away [to be with him in heaven].
Und dieweil er ein göttlich Leben führete, nahm ihn Gott hinweg, und ward nicht mehr gesehen.
25 When Methuselah was 187 years old, he became the father of Lamech.
Methusalah war hundertsiebenundachtzig Jahre alt und zeugete Lamech;
26 Methuselah lived 782 years after Lamech was born, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
und lebte danach siebenhundertzweiundachtzig Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
27 Methuselah lived 969 years altogether, and then he died.
daß sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertneunundsechzig Jahre, und starb.
28 When Lamech was 182 years old, he became the father of a son,
Lamech war hundertzweiundachtzig Jahre alt und zeugete einen Sohn
29 whom he named Noah, [which sounds like the Hebrew word that means ‘relief’], because he said, “He will bring us relief from all the hard work we have been doing to produce food from the ground that Yahweh cursed.”
und hieß ihn Noah und sprach: Der wird uns trösten in unserer Mühe und Arbeit auf Erden, die der HERR verflucht hat.
30 Lamech lived 595 years after Noah was born and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Danach lebte er fünfhundertfünfundneunzig Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
31 Lamech lived 777 years altogether, and then he died.
daß sein ganzes Alter ward siebenhundertsiebenundsiebenzig Jahre, und starb.
32 When Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of a son whom he named Shem. Later he became the father of another son whom he named Ham, and later he became the father of another son whom he named Japheth.
Noah war fünfhundert Jahre alt und zeugete Sem, Ham und Japheth.
