1 Chronicles 9

1 The [names of all the] people of Israel were listed/written with the names of their clans, and that information was written in the scroll/book named ‘The Record of the Kings of Israel’. [Many of] the people of Judah were captured and forced to go to Babylon. That happened because they did not faithfully [do what was pleasing to] God.

১এই ভাবে সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলের বংশাবলি লেখা হল, আর দেখ, তা “ইস্রায়েলীয় রাজাদের বইতে” সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়দের বংশ তালিকা লেখা রয়েছে। পরে যিহূদার লোকদের অবিশ্বস্ততার জন্য তাদের বাবিলে বন্দী করে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছিল।

2 The first people who returned [to Judah 70 years later] and lived in their own land and in their own cities and towns were some Israeli priests, other descendants of Levi, and men who worked in the temple.

২নিজেদের নানা শহরে যারা প্রথমে নিজের নিজের অধিকারে বাস করল, তারা এই ইস্রায়েলীয়রা, যাজকরা, লেবীয়রা ও নথীনীয়রা।

3 [Other] people from the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh [also returned to Judah and] lived in Jerusalem. This is a list of those people [of the tribe of Judah]:

৩যিহূদা, বিন্যামীন, ইফ্রয়িম ও মনঃশি গোষ্ঠীর মধ্যে এই লোকেরা যিরূশালেমে বাস করতে লাগল।

4 Uthai the son of Ammihud. Ammihud was the son of Omri; Omri was the son of Imri; Imri was the son of Bani; Bani was a descendant of Perez; Perez was the son of Judah.

৪যিহূদার ছেলে পেরসের বংশের উথয়। উথয় ছিল অম্মীহূদের ছেলে, অম্মীহূদ অম্রির ছেলে, অম্রি ইম্রির ছেলে, ইম্রি বানির ছেলে ও বানি পেরসের ছেলে।

5 Asaiah and his sons were descendants of Shelah. Asaiah was the oldest son in his family.

৫শীলোনীয়দের মধ্যে বড় অসায় ও তার ছেলেরা।

6 Jeuel and others of his relatives in Zerah’s clan. There were 690 people in this clan.

৬সেরহের ছেলেদের মধ্যে যুয়েল ও তাদের ভাইরা, এরা ছয়শো নব্বই জন।

7 From the tribe of Benjamin, Sallu, the son of Meshullam. Meshullam was the son of Hodaviah; Hodaviah was the son of Hassenuah.

৭বিন্যামীন গোষ্ঠীর মধ্যে মশুল্লমের ছেলে সল্লু, মশুল্লম হোদবিয়ের ছেলে, তিনি হস্‌নূয়ের ছেলে।

8 Ibneiah the son of Jeroham. Elah the son of Uzzi. Uzzi was the son of Micri. Meshullam the son of Shephatiah. Shephatiah was the son of Reuel; Reuel was the son of Ibnijah.

৮যিরোহমের ছেলে যিব্‌নিয়। মিখ্রির নাতি, অর্থাৎ উষির ছেলে এলা। শফটিয়ের ছেলে মশুল্লম। তাঁর পূর্বপুরুষদের মধ্যে ছিল রূয়েল ও যিব্‌নিয়।

9 In other records of the people descended from Benjamin, there are the names of 956 people who were living in Jerusalem. All these were leaders of their clans.

৯এরা ও এদের ভাইরা নিজের নিজের বংশ অনুসারে নয়শো ছাপান্ন জন। এরা সবাই নিজের নিজের বংশের নেতা ছিল।

10 Some of the priests [who returned to Judah were]: Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, Jakin,

১০যাজকদের মধ্যে যিদয়িয়, যিহোয়ারীব, যাখীন;

11 and Azariah who was the son of Hilkiah. Hilkiah who was the son of Meshullam; Meshullam who was the son of Zadok, Zadok who was the son of Meraioth; Meraioth who was the son of Ahitub; Ahitub who supervised the temple guards;

১১হিল্কিয়ের ছেলে অসরিয়। অসরিয় ছিলেন ঈশ্বরের ঘরের ভার পাওয়া লোকদের মধ্যে প্রধান। তাঁর পূর্বপুরুষদের মধ্যে ছিলেন মশুল্লম, সাদোক, মরায়োৎ ও অহীটূব।

12 Adaiah who was the son of Jeroham; Jeroham who was the son of Pashhur; Pashhur who was the son of Malchijah; Maasai who was the son of Adiel; Adiel who was the son of Jahzerah; Jahzerah who was the son of Meshullam; Meshullam who was the son of Meshillemith; Meshillemith who was the son of Immer.

১২যিরোহমের ছেলে অদায়া। তাঁর পূর্বপুরুষদের মধ্যে ছিল পশ্‌হূর ও মল্কিয়। অদীয়েলের ছেলে মাসয়। তাঁর পূর্বপুরুষদের মধ্যে ছিল যহসেরা, মশুল্লম, মশিল্লমীত ও ইম্মের।

13 Altogether there were 1,760 priests [who returned to Judah]. They were leaders of their clans, and they all were responsible for doing work in the temple of God.

১৩এঁরা ছিলেন নিজের নিজের বংশের নেতা। এরা ও এদের ভাইরা এক হাজার সাতশো ষাট জন। এঁরা ঈশ্বরের গৃহের সেবা কাজের ভারপাওয়া যোগ্য লোক।

14 From the descendants of Levi [who returned to Judah] there was Shemaiah the son of Hasshub. Hasshub was the son of Azrikam; Azrikam was the son of Hashabiah; Hashabiah was a descendant of [Levi’s youngest son] Merari.

১৪লেবীয়দের মধ্যে হশূবের ছেলে শময়িয়। তার পূর্বপুরুষদের মধ্যে ছিল অস্রীকাম, হশবিয় ও মরারি।

15 [Other descendants of Levi who returned to Judah were] Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica. Mica was the son if Zicri; Zicri was the son of Asaph.

১৫বকবকর, হেরশ, গালল ও মীখার ছেলে মত্তনিয়। মত্তনিয়ের পূর্বপুরুষদের মধ্যে ছিল সিখ্রি ও আসফ।

16 There was also Obadiah the son of Shemaiah. Shemaiah was the son of Galal. Galal was the son of Jeduthun. There was also Berekiah the son of Asa. Asa was the son of Elkanah, who lived in one of the villages where the Netophath people-clan lived.

১৬শময়িয়ের ছেলে ওবদিয়। তার পূর্বপুরুষদের মধ্যে ছিল গালল ও যিদূথূন। ইলকানার নাতি, অর্থাৎ আসার ছেলে বেরিখিয়। সে নটোফাতীয়দের গ্রামে বাস করত।

17 From the [descendants of Levi who returned to Judah] who guarded the temple gates there were Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and some of their relatives. Shallum was their leader.

১৭রক্ষীদের মধ্যে শল্লুম, অক্কুব, টল্‌মোন, অহীমান ও তাদের ভাইরা, এদের মধ্যে শল্লুম প্রধান।

18 Those gatekeepers from the tribe of Levi stood at the King’s Gate on the east side [of the temple].

১৮এরাই এ পর্যন্ত পূর্ব দিকে অবস্থিত রাজদ্বারে থাকত, এই লোকেরা ছিল লেবি গোষ্ঠীর ছাউনির রক্ষী। কোরির ছেলে শল্লুম ছিলেন তাদের নেতা।

19 Shallum was the son of Kore. Kore was the son of Ebiasaph. Ebiasaph was the son of Korah. Shallum and his relatives were gatekeepers, and they were responsible to guard the gates of the Sacred Tent of Yahweh, like their ancestors had done.

১৯তাঁর পূর্বপুরুষদের মধ্যে ছিল ইবীয়াসফ ও কোরহ। শল্লুম ও তাঁর বংশের লোকদের, অর্থাৎ কোরহীয়দের উপর মন্দিরের দরজাগুলো পাহারা দেবার ভার ছিল। এরা এতদিন পর্যন্ত রাজবাড়ীর পূর্ব দিকের দরজায় থাকত। তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের উপরেও ঠিক এইভাবেই সদাপ্রভুর আবাসতাঁবুর দরজা পাহারা দেবার ভার ছিল।

20 Previously Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, had supervised the gatekeepers, and Yahweh (was with/helped) Phinehas.

২০সেই দিন ইলীয়াসরের ছেলে পীনহসের উপর রক্ষীদের দেখাশোনার ভার ছিল এবং সদাপ্রভু তাঁর সঙ্গে ছিলেন।

21 Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was the gatekeeper at the entrance of the Sacred Tent.

২১মশেলেমিয়ের ছেলে সখরিয় মিলনতাঁবুর দরজার পাহারাদার ছিল।

22 Altogether, there were 212 men who were chosen to guard the gates. Their names were written in the records of the clans in their villages. [King] David and the prophet Samuel appointed/chose those men because those men (were dependable/always did what they were told to do).

২২দরজাগুলো পাহারা দেবার জন্য যাদের বেছে নেওয়া হয়েছিল তাদের সংখ্যা ছিল মোট দুইশো বারো। তাদের গ্রামগুলোতে যে সব বংশ তালিকা ছিল সেখানে তাদের নাম লেখা হয়েছিল। দায়ূদ ও শমূয়েল দর্শক এই লোকদের দায়িত্বপূর্ণ দারোয়ানের কাজে নিযুক্ত করেছিলেন।

23 The work of those gatekeepers and their descendants was to guard the entrances of the Sacred Tent of Yahweh. That was before the temple was built to replace the Sacred Tent.

২৩তাদের ও তাদের বংশের লোকেরা সদাপ্রভুর ঘরের, অর্থাৎ আবাসতাঁবুর দরজাগুলো পাহারা দিত।

24 There were gatekeepers on each of the four sides of the Sacred Tent.

২৪পূর্ব, পশ্চিম, উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ এই চারদিকেই মন্দিরের দ্বার রক্ষীরা পাহারা দিত।

25 Sometimes it was necessary for the relatives of the gatekeepers who lived in those villages to come and help them. Each time some of them came, they helped the gatekeepers for seven days.

২৫গ্রাম থেকে তাদের ভাইদেরও পালা অনুসারে এসে সাত দিন করে তাদের কাজে সাহায্য করতে হত।

26 There were four descendants of Levi who [worked every day, and they] supervised the gatekeepers. They also took care of the rooms and treasures in the Sacred Tent of God.

২৬যে চারজন লেবীয় প্রধান রক্ষী ছিল তাদের উপর ছিল ঈশ্বরের ঘরের ধনভান্ডারের কামরাগুলোর ভার।

27 They remained awake all during the night to guard the Sacred Tent, and each morning they opened the gates.

২৭তারা ঈশ্বরের ঘরের কাছে বাস করত, কারণ সেই ঘর রক্ষা করবার ভার তাদের উপর ছিল, আর রোজ সকালে ঘরের দরজাও তাদের খুলে দিতে হত।

28 Some of the gatekeepers took care of the articles that were used in worship. They also took care of the flour, wine, olive oil, incense, and spices [that were used in the sacrifices].

২৮লেবীয়দের মধ্যে কয়েকজনের উপর উপাসনা ঘরের সেবাকাজে ব্যবহার করা জিনিসপত্র রক্ষা করবার ভার ছিল। সেগুলো বের করবার ও ভিতরে আনবার দিন তারা গুণে দেখত।

29 Other gatekeepers were appointed to take care of the other things in the Sacred Tent.

২৯অন্যদের উপর ছিল উপাসনা ঘরের আসবাবপত্র এবং সমস্ত পাত্র, ময়দা ও আংগুরের রস, তেল, কুন্দুরু ও সব সুগন্ধি মশলা দেখাশোনা করবার ভার।

30 But some of the priests had the work of mixing the spices.

৩০সুগন্ধি মশলাগুলো মেশাবার ভার ছিল কয়েকজন যাজক সন্তানদের উপর।

31 There was a descendant of Levi named Mattithiah, the oldest son of Shallum, who was a descendant of Korah. He (was very dependable/always did what he was told to do), so they gave him {he was given} the work of baking the bread that was used in the offerings [on the altar].

৩১লেবীয়দের মধ্যে কোরহীয় শল্লুমের বড় ছেলে মত্তথিয়ের উপর উৎসর্গের রুটি তৈরী করার ভার দেওয়া হয়েছিল।

32 Some of the gatekeepers who were descended from Kohath prepared the freshly baked loaves of sacred bread that were placed on the table [inside the Sacred Tent] every Sabbath/rest day.

৩২প্রত্যেক বিশ্রামবারে টেবিলের উপর যে দর্শনরুটি সাজিয়ে রাখা হত তা তৈরী করবার ভার ছিল লেবীয়দের মধ্যে কয়েকজন কহাতীয়ের উপর।

33 Some of the descendants of Levi were musicians who worked in the Sacred Tent. The leaders of those families [stayed/slept] in the rooms [of the Sacred Tent]. They did not do [any other work] in the Sacred Tent because they were responsible to serve [as musicians] day and night.

৩৩লেবিগোষ্ঠীর বংশনেতারা যাঁরা গায়ক ছিল তাঁরা উপাসনা ঘরের কামরাগুলোতে থাকতেন। গানবাজনার কাজে তাঁরা দিন রাত ব্যস্ত থাকতেন বলে তাঁদের উপর অন্য কোনো কাজের ভার দেওয়া হয়নি।

34 Those are [the names of] the leaders of the clans descended from Levi. Their names were written in the records of the clans. They all lived in Jerusalem.

৩৪বংশ তালিকা অনুসারে এঁরা সবাই ছিলেন লেবীয় গোষ্ঠীর প্রধান নেতা। এঁরা যিরূশালেমে বাস করতেন।

35 [One of the descendants of Benjamin, ] Jeiel, lived in Gibeon [city]. He was the city leader. His wife’s name was Maacah.

৩৫গিবিয়োনের বাবা যিয়ীয়েল গিবিয়োনে বাস করতেন। তার স্ত্রীর নাম ছিল মাখা।

36 His oldest son was Abdon. His other sons were Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

৩৬তার বড় ছেলের নাম অব্দোন, তার পরে সূর, কীশ, বাল, নের, নাদব,

37 Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth.

৩৭গাদোর, অহিয়ো, সখরিয় ও মিক্লোৎ।

38 Mikloth was the father of Shimeam. Jeiel’s family lived near their relatives in Jerusalem.

৩৮মিক্লোতের ছেলে শিমিয়াম। তারা তাদের ভাইদের কাছে যিরূশালেমে বাস করত।

39 Ner was the father of Kish. Kish was the father of [King] Saul. Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-Baal.

৩৯নেরের ছেলে কীশ, কীশের ছেলে শৌল এবং শৌলের ছেলেরা হল যোনাথন, মল্কীশূয়, অবীনাদব ও ইশ্‌বাল।

40 Jonathan’s son was Merib-Baal. Merib-Baal was the father of Micah.

৪০যোনাথনের ছেলে মরীব্‌বাল, মরীব্‌বালের ছেলে মীখা

41 Micah’s sons were Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, [and Ahaz].

৪১মীখার ছেলেরা হল পিথোন, মেলক, তহরেয় ও আহস।

42 Ahaz was the father of Jadah (OR, Jarah). Jadah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri was the father of Moza.

৪২আহসের ছেলে যারঃ, যারের ছেলেরা হল আলেমৎ, অসমাবৎ ও সিম্রি। সিম্রির ছেলে মোৎসা,

43 Moza was the father of Binea. The son of Binea was Rephaiah. The son of Rephaiah was Eleasah. The son of Eleasah was Azel.

৪৩মোৎসার ছেলে বিনিয়া, বিনিয়ার ছেলে রফায়, রফায়ের ছেলে ইলীয়াসা এবং ইলীয়াসার ছেলে আৎসেল।

44 Azel had six sons: Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan.

৪৪আৎসেলের ছয়জন ছেলের নাম হল অস্রীকাম, বোখরূ, ইশ্মায়েল, শিয়রিয়, ওবদিয় ও হানান। এরা আৎসেলের ছেলে ছিল।
