Ecclesiastes 3
1 to/for all time and time to/for all pleasure underneath: under [the] heaven
Il y a une saison pour tout, et il y a un temps pour toute affaire sous les cieux.
2 time to/for to beget and time to/for to die time to/for to plant and time to/for to uproot to plant
Il y a un temps de naître, et un temps de mourir; un temps de planter, et un temps d’arracher ce qui est planté;
3 time to/for to kill and time to/for to heal time to/for to break through and time to/for to build
un temps de tuer, et un temps de guérir; un temps de démolir, et un temps de bâtir;
4 time to/for to weep and time to/for to laugh time to mourn and time to skip about
un temps de pleurer, et un temps de rire; un temps de se lamenter, et un temps de sauter de joie;
5 time to/for to throw stone and time to gather stone time to/for to embrace and time to/for to remove from to embrace
un temps de jeter des pierres, et un temps d’amasser des pierres; un temps d’embrasser, et un temps de s’éloigner des embrassements;
6 time to/for to seek and time to/for to perish time to/for to keep: guard and time to/for to throw
un temps de chercher, et un temps de perdre; un temps de garder, et un temps de jeter;
7 time to/for to tear and time to/for to sew time to/for be silent and time to/for to speak: speak
un temps de déchirer, et un temps de coudre; un temps de se taire, et un temps de parler;
8 time to/for to love: lover and time to/for to hate time battle and time peace
un temps d’aimer, et un temps de haïr; un temps de guerre, et un temps de paix.
9 what? advantage [the] to make: do in/on/with in which he/she/it laborious
Celui qui agit, quel profit a-t-il de ce à quoi il travaille?
10 to see: see [obj] [the] task which to give: give God to/for son: child [the] man to/for be occupied in/on/with him
J’ai vu l’occupation que Dieu a donnée aux fils des hommes pour s’y fatiguer:
11 [obj] [the] all to make beautiful in/on/with time his also [obj] [the] forever: enduring to give: put in/on/with heart their from without which not to find [the] man [obj] [the] deed: work which to make: do [the] God from head: first and till end
il a fait toute chose belle en son temps; et il a mis le monde dans leur cœur, de sorte que l’homme ne peut comprendre, depuis le commencement jusqu’à la fin, l’œuvre que Dieu a faite.
12 to know for nothing pleasant in/on/with them that if: except if: except to/for to rejoice and to/for to make: do pleasant in/on/with life his
J’ai connu qu’il n’y a rien de bon pour eux, sauf de se réjouir et de se faire du bien pendant leur vie;
13 and also all [the] man which/that to eat and to drink and to see: enjoy good in/on/with all trouble his gift God he/she/it
et aussi que tout homme mange et boive, et qu’il jouisse du bien-être dans tout son travail: cela, c’est un don de Dieu.
14 to know for all which to make: do [the] God he/she/it to be to/for forever: enduring upon him nothing to/for to add and from him nothing to/for to dimish and [the] God to make: do which/that to fear: revere from to/for face: before his
J’ai connu que tout ce que Dieu fait subsiste à toujours; il n’y a rien à y ajouter, ni rien à en retrancher; et Dieu le fait, afin que, devant lui, on craigne.
15 what? which/that to be already he/she/it and which to/for to be already to be and [the] God to seek [obj] to pursue
Ce qui est a déjà été, et ce qui est à venir est déjà arrivé, et Dieu ramène ce qui est passé.
16 and still to see: see underneath: under [the] sun place [the] justice there [to] [the] wickedness and place [the] righteousness there [to] [the] wickedness
Et j’ai encore vu sous le soleil que, dans le lieu du jugement, là il y avait la méchanceté, et que, dans le lieu de la justice, là il y avait la méchanceté.
17 to say I in/on/with heart my [obj] [the] righteous and [obj] [the] wicked to judge [the] God for time to/for all pleasure and upon all [the] deed there
J’ai dit en mon cœur: Dieu jugera le juste et le méchant; car il y a là un temps pour toute affaire et pour toute œuvre.
18 to say I in/on/with heart my upon cause son: child [the] man to/for to purify them [the] God and to/for to see: see which/that they(masc.) animal they(masc.) to/for them
J’ai dit en mon cœur: Quant aux fils des hommes [il en est ainsi], pour que Dieu les éprouve, et qu’ils voient eux-mêmes qu’ils ne sont que des bêtes.
19 for accident son: child [the] man and accident [the] animal and accident one to/for them like/as death this so death this and spirit: breath one to/for all and advantage [the] man from [the] animal nothing for [the] all vanity
Car ce qui arrive aux fils des hommes est aussi ce qui arrive aux bêtes; il y a pour tous un même sort: comme celle-ci meurt, ainsi meurt celui-là; et ils ont tous un même souffle, et l’homme n’a point d’avantage sur la bête, car tout est vanité.
20 [the] all to go: went to(wards) place one [the] all to be from [the] dust and [the] all to return: return to(wards) [the] dust
Tout va dans un même lieu, tout est de poussière, et tout retourne à la poussière.
21 who? to know spirit son: descendant/people [the] man [the] to ascend: rise he/she/it to/for above [to] and spirit [the] animal [the] to go down he/she/it to/for beneath to/for land: soil
Qui est-ce qui connaît l’esprit des fils des hommes? Celui-ci monte-t-il en haut, et l’esprit de la bête descend-il en bas dans la terre?
22 and to see: see for nothing pleasant from whence to rejoice [the] man in/on/with deed: work his for he/she/it portion his for who? to come (in): bring him to/for to see: see in/on/with what? which/that to be after him
Et j’ai vu qu’il n’y a rien de mieux [que ceci]: que l’homme se réjouisse dans ce qu’il fait, car c’est là sa part; car qui l’amènera pour voir ce qui sera après lui?
