2 Chronicles 1

1 and to strengthen: strengthen Solomon son: child David upon royalty his and LORD God his with him and to magnify him to/for above [to]

וַיִּתְחַזֵּ֛ק שְׁלֹמֹ֥ה בֶן־דָּוִ֖יד עַל־מַלְכוּתֹ֑ו וַיהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהָיו֙ עִמֹּ֔ו וַֽיְגַדְּלֵ֖הוּ לְמָֽעְלָה׃

2 and to say Solomon to/for all Israel to/for ruler [the] thousand and [the] hundred and to/for to judge and to/for all leader to/for all Israel head [the] father

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה לְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֡ל לְשָׂרֵי֩ הָאֲלָפִ֨ים וְהַמֵּאֹ֜ות וְלַשֹּֽׁפְטִ֗ים וּלְכֹ֛ל נָשִׂ֥יא לְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל רָאשֵׁ֥י הָאָבֹֽות׃

3 and to go: went Solomon and all [the] assembly with him to/for high place which in/on/with Gibeon for there to be tent meeting [the] God which to make Moses servant/slave LORD in/on/with wilderness

וַיֵּלְכ֗וּ שְׁלֹמֹה֙ וְכָל־הַקָּהָ֣ל עִמֹּ֔ו לַבָּמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּגִבְעֹ֑ון כִּי־שָׁ֣ם הָיָ֗ה אֹ֤הֶל מֹועֵד֙ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֛ה מֹשֶׁ֥ה עֶֽבֶד־יְהוָ֖ה בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃

4 truly ark [the] God to ascend: establish David from Kiriath-jearim Kiriath-jearim in/on/with to establish: prepare to/for him David for to stretch to/for him tent in/on/with Jerusalem

אֲבָ֗ל אֲרֹ֤ון הָאֱלֹהִים֙ הֶעֱלָ֤ה דָוִיד֙ מִקִּרְיַ֣ת יְעָרִ֔ים בַּֽהֵכִ֥ין לֹ֖ו דָּוִ֑יד כִּ֧י נָֽטָה־לֹ֛ו אֹ֖הֶל בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃

5 and altar [the] bronze which to make Bezalel son: child Uri son: child Hur to set: make to/for face: before tabernacle LORD and to seek him Solomon and [the] assembly

וּמִזְבַּ֣ח הַנְּחֹ֗שֶׁת אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשָׂה֙ בְּצַלְאֵל֙ בֶּן־אוּרִ֣י בֶן־ח֔וּר שָׂ֕ם לִפְנֵ֖י מִשְׁכַּ֣ן יְהוָ֑ה וַיִּדְרְשֵׁ֥הוּ שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה וְהַקָּהָֽל׃

6 and to ascend: rise Solomon there upon altar [the] bronze to/for face: before LORD which to/for tent meeting and to ascend: offer up upon him burnt offering thousand

וַיַּעַל֩ שְׁלֹמֹ֨ה שָׁ֜ם עַל־מִזְבַּ֤ח הַנְּחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר לְאֹ֣הֶל מֹועֵ֑ד וַיַּ֧עַל עָלָ֛יו עֹלֹ֖ות אָֽלֶף׃

7 in/on/with night [the] he/she/it to see: see God to/for Solomon and to say to/for him to ask what? to give: give to/for you

בַּלַּ֣יְלָה הַה֔וּא נִרְאָ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֖ים לִשְׁלֹמֹ֑ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לֹ֔ו שְׁאַ֖ל מָ֥ה אֶתֶּן־לָֽךְ׃

8 and to say Solomon to/for God you(m. s.) to make: do with David father my kindness great: large and to reign me underneath: instead him

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר שְׁלֹמֹה֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים אַתָּ֗ה עָשִׂ֛יתָ עִם־דָּוִ֥יד אָבִ֖י חֶ֣סֶד גָּדֹ֑ול וְהִמְלַכְתַּ֖נִי תַּחְתָּֽיו׃

9 now LORD God be faithful word your with David father my for you(m. s.) to reign me upon people many like/as dust [the] land: soil

עַתָּה֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֔ים יֵֽאָמֵן֙ דְּבָ֣רְךָ֔ עִ֖ם דָּוִ֣יד אָבִ֑י כִּ֤י אַתָּה֙ הִמְלַכְתַּ֔נִי עַל־עַ֕ם רַ֖ב כַּעֲפַ֥ר הָאָֽרֶץ׃

10 now wisdom and knowledge to give: give to/for me and to come out: come to/for face: before [the] people [the] this and to come (in): come for who? to judge [obj] people your [the] this [the] great: large

עַתָּ֗ה חָכְמָ֤ה וּמַדָּע֙ תֶּן־לִ֔י וְאֵֽצְאָ֛ה לִפְנֵ֥י הָֽעָם־הַזֶּ֖ה וְאָבֹ֑ואָה כִּֽי־מִ֣י יִשְׁפֹּ֔ט אֶת־עַמְּךָ֥ הַזֶּ֖ה הַגָּדֹֽול׃ ס

11 and to say God to/for Solomon because which to be this with heart your and not to ask riches wealth and glory and [obj] soul: life to hate you and also day many not to ask and to ask to/for you wisdom and knowledge which to judge [obj] people my which to reign you upon him

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר־אֱלֹהִ֣ים ׀ לִשְׁלֹמֹ֡ה יַ֣עַן אֲשֶׁר֩ הָיְתָ֨ה זֹ֜את עִם־לְבָבֶ֗ךָ וְלֹֽא־שָׁ֠אַלְתָּ עֹ֣שֶׁר נְכָסִ֤ים וְכָבֹוד֙ וְאֵת֙ נֶ֣פֶשׁ שֹׂנְאֶ֔יךָ וְגַם־יָמִ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים לֹ֣א שָׁאָ֑לְתָּ וַתִּֽשְׁאַל־לְךָ֙ חָכְמָ֣ה וּמַדָּ֔ע אֲשֶׁ֤ר תִּשְׁפֹּוט֙ אֶת־עַמִּ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר הִמְלַכְתִּ֖יךָ עָלָֽיו׃

12 [the] wisdom and [the] knowledge to give: give to/for you and riches and wealth and glory to give: give to/for you which not to be so to/for king which to/for face: before your and after you not to be so

הַֽחָכְמָ֥ה וְהַמַּדָּ֖ע נָת֣וּן לָ֑ךְ וְעֹ֨שֶׁר וּנְכָסִ֤ים וְכָבֹוד֙ אֶתֶּן־לָ֔ךְ אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ לֹא־הָ֣יָה כֵ֗ן לַמְּלָכִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לְפָנֶ֔יךָ וְאַחֲרֶ֖יךָ לֹ֥א יִֽהְיֶה־כֵּֽן׃

13 and to come (in): come Solomon to/for high place which in/on/with Gibeon Jerusalem from to/for face: before tent meeting and to reign upon Israel

וַיָּבֹ֨א שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה לַבָּמָ֤ה אֲשֶׁר־בְּגִבְעֹון֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם מִלִּפְנֵ֖י אֹ֣הֶל מֹועֵ֑ד וַיִּמְלֹ֖ךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פ

14 and to gather Solomon chariot and horseman and to be to/for him thousand and four hundred chariot and two ten thousand horseman and to rest them in/on/with city [the] chariot and with [the] king in/on/with Jerusalem

וַיֶּאֱסֹ֣ף שְׁלֹמֹה֮ רֶ֣כֶב וּפָרָשִׁים֒ וַֽיְהִי־לֹ֗ו אֶ֤לֶף וְאַרְבַּע־מֵאֹות֙ רֶ֔כֶב וּשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂ֥ר אֶ֖לֶף פָּרָשִׁ֑ים וַיַּנִּיחֵם֙ בְּעָרֵ֣י הָרֶ֔כֶב וְעִם־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בִּירֽוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃

15 and to give: make [the] king [obj] [the] silver: money and [obj] [the] gold in/on/with Jerusalem like/as stone and [obj] [the] cedar to give: make like/as sycamore which in/on/with Shephelah to/for abundance

וַיִּתֵּ֨ן הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ אֶת־הַכֶּ֧סֶף וְאֶת־הַזָּהָ֛ב בִּירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם כָּאֲבָנִ֑ים וְאֵ֣ת הָאֲרָזִ֗ים נָתַ֛ן כַּשִּׁקְמִ֥ים אֲשֶׁר־בַּשְּׁפֵלָ֖ה לָרֹֽב׃

16 and exit [the] horse which to/for Solomon from Egypt and from Kue to trade [the] king from Kue to take: buy in/on/with price

וּמֹוצָ֧א הַסּוּסִ֛ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר לִשְׁלֹמֹ֖ה מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם וּמִקְוֵ֕א סֹחֲרֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ מִקְוֵ֥א יִקְח֖וּ בִּמְחִֽיר׃

17 and to ascend: establish and to come out: send from Egypt chariot in/on/with six hundred silver: money and horse in/on/with fifty and hundred and so to/for all king [the] Hittite and king Syria in/on/with hand: by their to come out: send

וַֽ֠יַּעֲלוּ וַיֹּוצִ֨יאוּ מִמִּצְרַ֤יִם מֶרְכָּבָה֙ בְּשֵׁ֣שׁ מֵאֹ֣ות כֶּ֔סֶף וְס֖וּס בַּחֲמִשִּׁ֣ים וּמֵאָ֑ה וְ֠כֵן לְכָל־מַלְכֵ֧י הַֽחִתִּ֛ים וּמַלְכֵ֥י אֲרָ֖ם בְּיָדָ֥ם יֹוצִֽיאוּ׃
