Psalms 47

1 To the choirmaster - of [the] sons of Korah a psalm. O all the peoples strike a palm shout for joy to God with [the] sound of a shout of joy.

Au chef des chantres. Des fils de Koré. Psaume. Vous tous, peuples, battez des mains! Poussez vers Dieu des cris de joie!

2 For Yahweh [the] Most High [is] to be feared a king great over all the earth.

Car l’Éternel, le Très-Haut, est redoutable, Il est un grand roi sur toute la terre.

3 He subdues peoples under us and peoples under feet our.

Il nous assujettit des peuples, Il met des nations sous nos pieds;

4 He chooses for us inheritance our [the] pride of Jacob whom he loved (Selah)

Il nous choisit notre héritage, La gloire de Jacob qu’il aime. (Pause)

5 He has gone up God with a shout of joy Yahweh with [the] sound of a ram's horn.

Dieu monte au milieu des cris de triomphe, L’Éternel s’avance au son de la trompette.

6 Sing praises to God sing praises sing praises to king our sing praises.

Chantez à Dieu, chantez! Chantez à notre roi, chantez!

7 For [is] [the] king of all the earth God sing praises a poem.

Car Dieu est roi de toute la terre: Chantez un cantique!

8 He reigns God over nations God he sits - on [the] throne of holiness his.

Dieu règne sur les nations, Dieu a pour siège son saint trône.

9 Noble [people] of peoples - they have gathered [the] people of [the] God of Abraham for [belong] to God [the] shields of earth exceedingly he is exalted.

Les princes des peuples se réunissent Au peuple du Dieu d’Abraham; Car à Dieu sont les boucliers de la terre: Il est souverainement élevé.
