< Psalms 132 >

1 [the] song of The ascents remember O Yahweh to David all being afflicted he.
A song of ascents. Remember, O Lord, David all his sufferings,
2 Who he swore an oath to Yahweh he vowed to [the] mighty one of Jacob.
the oath that he swore to the Lord, and his vow to the Strong One of Jacob,
3 If I will go in [the] tent of house my if I will go up on [the] couch of beds my.
never to enter his tent, never to lie on his bed,
4 If I will give sleep to eyes my to eyelids my slumber.
never to give his eyes sleep or his eyelids slumber,
5 Until I will find a place for Yahweh dwelling place for [the] mighty one of Jacob.
till he had found a place for the Lord, for the Strong One of Jacob to live in.
6 Here! we heard of it in Ephrathah we found it in [the] fields of Jaar.
We heard of it in Ephrathah, in the fields of Jaar we found it.
7 Let us go to dwelling place his let us bow down to [the] footstool of feet his.
We went to the place where he dwelt, we bowed ourselves low at his footstool.
8 Arise! O Yahweh to resting place your you and [the] ark of strength your.
“Arise, Lord, and enter your resting-place, you and your mighty ark.
9 Priests your let them be clothed righteousness and faithful [people] your let them shout for joy.
Let your priests wear a garment of righteousness, your faithful shout aloud for joy.
10 For sake of David servant your may not you turn away [the] face of anointed your.
For the sake of David your servant, do not reject your Anointed.”
11 He swore an oath Yahweh - to David faithfulness not he will turn back from it one of [the] fruit of belly your I will set to throne of you.
The Lord swore an oath to David an oath that he will not break; “I will set on your throne a prince of your line.
12 If they will keep sons your - covenant my and testimonies my which I will teach them also sons their until perpetuity they will sit to throne of you.
If your sons keep my covenant and the statutes I teach them, then their sons, too, forever, will sit on your throne.”
13 For he has chosen Yahweh Zion he has desired it to a dwelling place of him.
For the choice of the Lord is Zion; she is the home of his heart.
14 This [is] resting place my until perpetuity here I will dwell for I have desired it.
“This is forever my resting-place, this is the home of my heart.
15 Provision[s] its certainly I will bless needy [people] its I will satisfy food.
I will royally bless her provision, and give bread to her poor in abundance.
16 And priests its I will clothe salvation and faithful [people] its certainly they will shout for joy.
Her priests I will clothe with salvation; her faithful will shout for joy.
17 There I will make grow a horn for David I have set in order a lamp for anointed my.
There will I raise up for David a dynasty of power. I have set my anointed a lamp that shall never go out.
18 Enemies his I will clothe shame and on him it will shine crown his.
Robes of shame I will put on his foes, but on his head a glittering crown.”
