< Proverbs 28 >

1 They flee and there not [is one who] pursues [the] wicked and righteous [people] like a young lion he is confident.
HOOHEE wale ka mea hewa, aohe mea e hahai ana; O ka poe pono hoi, wiwo ole lakou me he liona la.
2 By [the] transgression of a land [are] many princes its and by a person understanding knowing thus it will last long.

3 A man poor and [who] oppresses poor [people] rain [which] washes away and there not [is] food.
O ke kanaka ilihune e hookaumaha ana i ka poe ilihune, Oia ka ua e hoopau ana i ka ai a pau.
4 [those who] forsake [the] law They praise [the] wicked and [those who] keep [the] law they engage in strife with them.
O ka poe haalele i ke kanawai, hoomaikai no lakou i ka mea hewa: O ka poe malama hoi i ke kanawai, ku e aku no i ua poe la.
5 People of evil not they understand justice and [those who] seek Yahweh they understand everything.
Aole i ike ka poe aia i ka hoopono; A o ka poe imi ia Iehova, ike no i na mea a pau.
6 [is] good A poor [person] [who] walks in integrity his more than [the] [person] perverse of two ways and he [is] rich.

7 [one who] keeps [the] law [is] a son Understanding and [one who] associates with gluttons he shames father his.

8 [one who] increases Wealth his by interest (and usury *QK) for [one who] shows favor to poor [people] he gathers it.
O ka mea hoonui i kona waiwai ma ka uku kuala a me ke kaili wale, E hooiliili oia ia mea na ka mea e aloha aku i ka poe ilihune.
9 [one who] turns aside Ear his from hearing [the] law also prayer his [is] an abomination.

10 [one who] leads astray Upright [people] - in a way evil in own pit his he he will fall and blameless [people] they will inherit good.
O ka mea kai hewa aku i ka poe pololei ma ka aoao hewa, Ma kona lua iho oia e haule ai; A o ka poe pololei hoi, e ili mai ka maikai no lakou.
11 [is] wise In own eyes his a person rich and a poor [person] understanding he examines thoroughly him.

12 When rejoice righteous [people] great glory and when arise wicked [people] he is searched for everyone.

13 [one who] conceals Transgressions his not he will prosper and [one who] confesses and [one who] forsakes [them] he will be shown mercy.

14 How blessed! [is] a person [who] fears continually and [one who] hardens heart his he will fall in calamity.

15 A lion roaring and a bear rushing a ruler wicked over a people poor.

16 A ruler lacking of understanding and great of extortion ([one who] hates *QK) unjust gain he will prolong days.
O ke alii naauao ole, nui kona hookaumaha ana; O ka mea hoowahawaha i ka makee waiwai, e loihi no kona mau la.
17 A person oppressed by [the] blood of a life to [the] pit he will flee may not people support him.
O ke kanaka hewa i ke koko o kekahi, E holo oia i ka lua; mai keakea kekahi ia ia.
18 [one who] walks Blameless he will be delivered and [one who] is crooked of two ways he will fall at one.
O ka mea hele pololei e ola oia; O ka mea hookekee i kona aoao, e haule koke no ia.
19 [one who] tills Land his he will be satisfied food and [one who] pursues empty [things] he will be satisfied poverty.
O ka mea mahi i ka aina e maona oia i ka ai; O ka mea hoopili mea ai mahope o ka poe lapuwale e piha oia i ka ilihune.
20 A person of faithfulness [will be] great of blessings and [one who] hastens to gain riches not he will go unpunished.
O ke kanaka hooiaio, nui wale kona mau mea e pomaikai ai; O ka mea holo kiki mahope o ka waiwai, aole e ole kona hala.
21 To pay regard to face not [is] good and on a piece of bread he will transgress a man.
O ka manao ana i ko ke kanaka kino, aole ia he maikai; No kahi apana ai e lawehala no ua kanaka la.
22 [is] hastening To wealth a person evil of eye and not he knows that poverty it will come to him.
O ka mea hooikaika ma ka waiwai, he maka ino kona, Aole oia e ike o ka ilihune kana mea e loaa ai.
23 [one who] reproves A person after me favor he will find more than [one who] makes smooth [the] tongue.
O ka mea ao aku i ke kanaka, mahope iho e loaa ia ia ka lokomaikaiia mai, Mamua o ka mea malimali me kona alelo.
24 [one who] robs - Father his and mother his and [one who] says there not [is] a transgression [is] a companion he of a person of destruction.
O ke mea kaili wale i ka kona makuakane a me ka kona makuwahine, Me ka i ana ae, Aole ia he hewa, Oia ka hoa no ka pepehi kanaka.
25 A [person] arrogant of self he stirs up strife and [one who] relies on Yahweh he will be made fat.
O ka mea i haaheo ka naau, oia ka i hookonokono i ka hakaka; O ka mea paulele ia Iehova e lako loa oia.
26 [one who] trusts In own heart his he [is] a fool and [one who] walks in wisdom he he will be delivered.
O ka mea paulele i kona naau iho, oia ka mea naaupo: O ka mea hele ma ka naauao, e hoopakeleia oia.
27 [one who] gives To the poor there not [is] lack and [one who] hides eyes his great of curses.
O ka mea haawi wale na ka mea ilihune, aole oia e nele; A o ka mea i uhi ae i kona mau maka, e nui kona hoinoia mai.
28 When arise wicked [people] he hides himself everyone and when perish they they increase righteous [people].
I ke ku ana o ka poe hewa, ua huna ke kanaka ia ia iho; A make lakou, alaila mahuahua ka poe pono.
