Proverbs 2
1 O son my if you will receive words my and commandments my you will treasure with you.
Mon fils, si tu reçois mes paroles, Et si tu gardes avec toi mes préceptes,
2 To make attend to wisdom ear your you will incline heart your to understanding.
Si tu rends ton oreille attentive à la sagesse, Et si tu inclines ton cœur à l’intelligence;
3 That except to discernment you will call to understanding you will give voice your.
Oui, si tu appelles la sagesse, Et si tu élèves ta voix vers l’intelligence,
4 If you will seek it like silver and like treasures you will search for it.
Si tu la cherches comme l’argent, Si tu la poursuis comme un trésor,
5 Then you will discern [the] fear of Yahweh and [the] knowledge of God you will find.
Alors tu comprendras la crainte de l’Éternel, Et tu trouveras la connaissance de Dieu.
6 For Yahweh he gives wisdom from mouth his knowledge and understanding.
Car l’Éternel donne la sagesse; De sa bouche sortent la connaissance et l’intelligence;
7 (He stores up *QK) for upright [people] success a shield to [those who] walk of integrity.
Il tient en réserve le salut pour les hommes droits, Un bouclier pour ceux qui marchent dans l’intégrité,
8 To guard [the] paths of justice and [the] way of (faithful [people] his *QK) he will preserve.
En protégeant les sentiers de la justice Et en gardant la voie de ses fidèles.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice and uprightness every course of good.
Alors tu comprendras la justice, l’équité, La droiture, toutes les routes qui mènent au bien.
10 For it will come wisdom in heart your and knowledge to self your it will be pleasant.
Car la sagesse viendra dans ton cœur, Et la connaissance fera les délices de ton âme;
11 Discretion it will watch over you understanding it will preserve you.
La réflexion veillera sur toi, L’intelligence te gardera,
12 To deliver you from a way evil from anyone [who] speaks perverse things.
Pour te délivrer de la voie du mal, De l’homme qui tient des discours pervers,
13 Those [who] leave paths of uprightness to walk in [the] ways of darkness.
De ceux qui abandonnent les sentiers de la droiture Afin de marcher dans des chemins ténébreux,
14 The [ones] joyful to do evil they exult in perverse things of evil.
Qui trouvent de la jouissance à faire le mal, Qui mettent leur plaisir dans la perversité,
15 Who paths their [are] twisted and [who are] crooked in tracks their.
Qui suivent des sentiers détournés, Et qui prennent des routes tortueuses;
16 To deliver you from a woman strange from a foreign [woman] [who] words her she makes smooth.
Pour te délivrer de la femme étrangère, De l’étrangère qui emploie des paroles doucereuses,
17 Who leaves [the] close friend of youth her and [the] covenant of God her she forgets.
Qui abandonne l’ami de sa jeunesse, Et qui oublie l’alliance de son Dieu;
18 For she sank down to death house her and to [the] shades tracks her.
Car sa maison penche vers la mort, Et sa route mène chez les morts:
19 All [those who] go to her not they return! and not they reach [the] paths of life.
Aucun de ceux qui vont à elle ne revient, Et ne retrouve les sentiers de la vie.
20 So that you may walk in [the] way of good [people] and [the] paths of righteous [people] you will keep.
Tu marcheras ainsi dans la voie des gens de bien, Tu garderas les sentiers des justes.
21 For upright [people] they will dwell [the] land and blameless [people] they will remain in it.
Car les hommes droits habiteront le pays, Les hommes intègres y resteront;
22 And wicked [people] from [the] land they will be cut off and treacherous [people] they will be torn away from it.
Mais les méchants seront retranchés du pays, Les infidèles en seront arrachés.
