Leviticus 16
1 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses after [the] death of [the] two [the] sons of Aaron when drew near they before Yahweh and they died.
| וידבר יהוה אל משה אחרי מות שני בני אהרן בקרבתם לפני יהוה וימתו׃ |
2 And he said Yahweh to Moses speak to Aaron brother your and may not he come at every time into the holy place from inside to the curtain to [the] face of the atonement cover which [is] on the ark and not he will die for in the cloud I will appear over the atonement cover.
| ויאמר יהוה אל משה דבר אל אהרן אחיך ואל יבא בכל עת אל הקדש מבית לפרכת אל פני הכפרת אשר על הארן ולא ימות כי בענן אראה על הכפרת׃ |
3 With this he will come Aaron into the holy place with a bull a young one of [the] herd to a sin offering and a ram to a burnt offering.
| בזאת יבא אהרן אל הקדש בפר בן בקר לחטאת ואיל לעלה׃ |
4 A tunic of linen of holiness he will wear and undergarments of linen they will be on flesh his and with a sash of linen he will gird himself and with a turban of linen he will wind [are] garments of holiness they and he will wash with water body his and he will put on them.
| כתנת בד קדש ילבש ומכנסי בד יהיו על בשרו ובאבנט בד יחגר ובמצנפת בד יצנף בגדי קדש הם ורחץ במים את בשרו ולבשם׃ |
5 And from with [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel he will take two male goats of goats to a sin offering and a ram one to a burnt offering.
| ומאת עדת בני ישראל יקח שני שעירי עזים לחטאת ואיל אחד לעלה׃ |
6 And he will present Aaron [the] bull of the sin offering which [is] for himself and he will make atonement for himself and for household his.
| והקריב אהרן את פר החטאת אשר לו וכפר בעדו ובעד ביתו׃ |
7 And he will take [the] two the male goats and he will station them before Yahweh [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting.
| ולקח את שני השעירם והעמיד אתם לפני יהוה פתח אהל מועד׃ |
8 And he will put Aaron on [the] two the male goats lots a lot one for Yahweh and a lot one for [the] escape goat.
| ונתן אהרן על שני השעירם גורלות גורל אחד ליהוה וגורל אחד לעזאזל׃ |
9 And he will present Aaron the male goat which it came up on it the lot for Yahweh and he will offer it a sin offering.
| והקריב אהרן את השעיר אשר עלה עליו הגורל ליהוה ועשהו חטאת׃ |
10 And the male goat which it came up on it the lot for [the] escape goat it will be stationed alive before Yahweh to make atonement on it by sending away it to [the] escape goat the wilderness towards.
| והשעיר אשר עלה עליו הגורל לעזאזל יעמד חי לפני יהוה לכפר עליו לשלח אתו לעזאזל המדברה׃ |
11 And he will present Aaron [the] bull of the sin offering which [is] for himself and he will make atonement for himself and for household his and he will cut [the] throat of [the] bull of the sin offering which [is] for himself.
| והקריב אהרן את פר החטאת אשר לו וכפר בעדו ובעד ביתו ושחט את פר החטאת אשר לו׃ |
12 And he will take fullness of censer coals of fire from on the altar from to before Yahweh and [the] fullness of hands his incense of perfume fine and he will bring [them] from inside to the curtain.
| ולקח מלא המחתה גחלי אש מעל המזבח מלפני יהוה ומלא חפניו קטרת סמים דקה והביא מבית לפרכת׃ |
13 And he will put the incense on the fire before Yahweh and it will cover - [the] cloud of the incense the atonement cover which [is] on the testimony and not he will die.
| ונתן את הקטרת על האש לפני יהוה וכסה ענן הקטרת את הכפרת אשר על העדות ולא ימות׃ |
14 And he will take some of [the] blood of the bull and he will spatter [it] with finger his on [the] face of the atonement cover east-ward and before the atonement cover he will spatter seven times some of the blood with finger his.
| ולקח מדם הפר והזה באצבעו על פני הכפרת קדמה ולפני הכפרת יזה שבע פעמים מן הדם באצבעו׃ |
15 And he will cut [the] throat of [the] male goat of the sin offering which [is] for the people and he will bring blood its to from inside to the curtain and he will do with blood its just as he did to [the] blood of the bull and he will spatter it on the atonement cover and before the atonement cover.
| ושחט את שעיר החטאת אשר לעם והביא את דמו אל מבית לפרכת ועשה את דמו כאשר עשה לדם הפר והזה אתו על הכפרת ולפני הכפרת׃ |
16 And he will make atonement on the holy place from [the] uncleanness of [the] people of Israel and from transgressions their to all sins their and thus he will do to [the] tent of meeting which dwells with them in among uncleanness their.
| וכפר על הקדש מטמאת בני ישראל ומפשעיהם לכל חטאתם וכן יעשה לאהל מועד השכן אתם בתוך טמאתם׃ |
17 And any person not he will be - in [the] tent of meeting when goes he to make atonement in the holy place until comes out he and he has made atonement for himself and for household his and for all [the] assembly of Israel.
| וכל אדם לא יהיה באהל מועד בבאו לכפר בקדש עד צאתו וכפר בעדו ובעד ביתו ובעד כל קהל ישראל׃ |
18 And he will go out to the altar which [is] before Yahweh and he will make atonement on it and he will take some of [the] blood of the bull and some of [the] blood of the male goat and he will put [it] on [the] horns of the altar all around.
| ויצא אל המזבח אשר לפני יהוה וכפר עליו ולקח מדם הפר ומדם השעיר ונתן על קרנות המזבח סביב׃ |
19 And he will spatter on it some of the blood with finger his seven times and he will purify it and he will set apart as holy it from [the] uncleanness of [the] people of Israel.
| והזה עליו מן הדם באצבעו שבע פעמים וטהרו וקדשו מטמאת בני ישראל׃ |
20 And he will finish from making atonement for the holy place and [the] tent of meeting and the altar and he will present the male goat living.
| וכלה מכפר את הקדש ואת אהל מועד ואת המזבח והקריב את השעיר החי׃ |
21 And he will lean Aaron [the] two (hands his *QK) on [the] head of the male goat living and he will confess over it all [the] iniquities of [the] people of Israel and all transgressions their to all sins their and he will put them on [the] head of the male goat and he will send [it] away by [the] hand of a man ready the wilderness towards.
| וסמך אהרן את שתי ידו על ראש השעיר החי והתודה עליו את כל עונת בני ישראל ואת כל פשעיהם לכל חטאתם ונתן אתם על ראש השעיר ושלח ביד איש עתי המדברה׃ |
22 And it will bear the male goat on itself all iniquities their into a land infertile and he will let go the male goat in the wilderness.
| ונשא השעיר עליו את כל עונתם אל ארץ גזרה ושלח את השעיר במדבר׃ |
23 And he will go Aaron into [the] tent of meeting and he will strip off [the] garments of linen which he wore when went he into the holy place and he will leave them there.
| ובא אהרן אל אהל מועד ופשט את בגדי הבד אשר לבש בבאו אל הקדש והניחם שם׃ |
24 And he will wash body his with water in a place holy and he will put on garments his and he will come out and he will offer burnt offering his and [the] burnt offering of the people and he will make atonement for himself and for the people.
| ורחץ את בשרו במים במקום קדוש ולבש את בגדיו ויצא ועשה את עלתו ואת עלת העם וכפר בעדו ובעד העם׃ |
25 And [the] fat of the sin offering he will make smoke the altar towards.
| ואת חלב החטאת יקטיר המזבחה׃ |
26 And the [one who] let go the male goat to [the] escape goat he will wash garments his and he will wash body his with water and after thus he will come into the camp.
| והמשלח את השעיר לעזאזל יכבס בגדיו ורחץ את בשרו במים ואחרי כן יבוא אל המחנה׃ |
27 And [the] bull of the sin offering and - [the] male goat of the sin offering which it was brought blood their to make atonement in the holy place someone will bring out to from [the] outside of the camp and people will burn with fire hides their and flesh their and offal their.
| ואת פר החטאת ואת שעיר החטאת אשר הובא את דמם לכפר בקדש יוציא אל מחוץ למחנה ושרפו באש את ערתם ואת בשרם ואת פרשם׃ |
28 And the [one who] burns them he will wash garments his and he will wash body his with water and after thus he will come into the camp.
| והשרף אתם יכבס בגדיו ורחץ את בשרו במים ואחרי כן יבוא אל המחנה׃ |
29 And it will become for you a statute of perpetuity in the month seventh on the ten of the month you will afflict selves your and any work not you will do the native-born and the sojourner who sojourns in midst of you.
| והיתה לכם לחקת עולם בחדש השביעי בעשור לחדש תענו את נפשתיכם וכל מלאכה לא תעשו האזרח והגר הגר בתוככם׃ |
30 For on the day this he will make atonement on you to purify you from all sins your before Yahweh you will be pure.
| כי ביום הזה יכפר עליכם לטהר אתכם מכל חטאתיכם לפני יהוה תטהרו׃ |
31 [is] a sabbath of Sabbath observance it to you and you will afflict selves your a statute of perpetuity.
| שבת שבתון היא לכם ועניתם את נפשתיכם חקת עולם׃ |
32 And he will make atonement the priest whom someone will anoint him and whom someone will fill hand his to serve as priest in place of father his and he will wear [the] garments of linen [the] garments of holiness.
| וכפר הכהן אשר ימשח אתו ואשר ימלא את ידו לכהן תחת אביו ולבש את בגדי הבד בגדי הקדש׃ |
33 And he will make atonement for [the] sanctuary of holiness and [the] tent of meeting and the altar he will make atonement for and on the priests and on all [the] people of the assembly he will make atonement.
| וכפר את מקדש הקדש ואת אהל מועד ואת המזבח יכפר ועל הכהנים ועל כל עם הקהל יכפר׃ |
34 And it will become this for you a statute of perpetuity to make atonement on [the] people of Israel from all sins their one [time] in the year and he did just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses.
| והיתה זאת לכם לחקת עולם לכפר על בני ישראל מכל חטאתם אחת בשנה ויעש כאשר צוה יהוה את משה׃ |
