Genesis 29
1 And he lifted up Jacob feet his and he went [the] land of towards [the] people of [the] east.
Entonces Jacob continuó su viaje hasta que llegó a la tierra de los hijos del oriente.
2 And he saw and there! a well [was] in the field and there! there three flocks of sheep [were] lying down at it for from the well that people watered the flocks and the stone [was] large over [the] mouth of the well.
Y vio allí un pozo de agua en un campo, y al lado de ella tres ovejas, porque allí tomaron agua para las ovejas; y en la boca del pozo de agua había una gran piedra.
3 And they were gathered there towards all the flocks and they rolled the stone from over [the] mouth of the well and they watered the sheep and they put back the stone over [the] mouth of the well to place its.
Y todos los rebaños se juntaban allí, y cuando la piedra había sido removida, daban agua a las ovejas, y volvían a poner la piedra en su lugar sobre la boca del pozo de agua.
4 And he said to them Jacob O brothers my from where? [are] you and they said [are] from Haran we.
Entonces Jacob dijo a los pastores: Mis hermanos, ¿de dónde vienes? Y ellos dijeron: De Harán.
5 And he said to them ¿ do you know Laban [the] son of Nahor and they said we know [him].
Y él les dijo: ¿Conocen a Labán, el hijo de Nacor? Y ellos dijeron: sí, lo conocemos.
6 And he said to them ¿ [does] health [belong] to him and they said health and there! Rachel daughter his [is] coming with the sheep.
Y él les dijo: ¿Está bien? Y ellos dijeron: Está bien, y aquí está Raquel, su hija, que viene con las ovejas.
7 And he said here! still the day [is] great not [the] time of [the] being gathered of the livestock water the sheep and go pasture [them].
Entonces Jacob dijo: El sol todavía está alto y no es tiempo de juntar el ganado; trae agua para las ovejas y vete a darles su alimento.
8 And they said not we are able until that they will be gathered all the flocks and people will roll the stone from over [the] mouth of the well and we will water the sheep.
Y ellos dijeron: No podemos hacer eso, hasta que se junten todos los ganados, y la piedra se haya removido de la boca del pozo; entonces obtendremos agua para las ovejas.
9 Still [was] he speaking with them and Rachel - she came with the sheep which [belonged] to father her for [was] a shepherdess she.
Mientras aún hablaba con ellos, Raquel vino con las ovejas de su padre, porque ella las cuidaba.
10 And it was just as he saw Jacob Rachel [the] daughter of Laban [the] brother of mother his and [the] sheep of Laban [the] brother of mother his and he drew near Jacob and he rolled the stone from over [the] mouth of the well and he watered [the] sheep of Laban [the] brother of mother his.
Y cuando Jacob vio a Raquel, la hija de Labán, el hermano de su madre, que venía con las ovejas de Labán, se acercó y, sacando la piedra de la boca del pozo, sacó agua del rebaño de Labán.
11 And he kissed Jacob Rachel and he lifted up voice his and he wept.
Y llorando de alegría, Jacob besó a Raquel.
12 And he told Jacob to Rachel that [was] [the] relative of father her he and that [was] [the] son of Rebekah he and she ran and she told to father her.
Y Raquel, oyendo de Jacob que él era pariente de su padre y que era hijo de Rebeca, salió corriendo a avisarle a su padre.
13 And it was when heard Laban [the] report of - Jacob [the] son of sister his and he ran to meet him and he embraced him and he kissed him and he brought him to house his and he recounted to Laban all the things these.
Y Labán, oyendo noticias de Jacob, el hijo de su hermana, vino corriendo, y tomando a Jacob en sus brazos, y besándolo, lo hizo entrar en su casa. Y Jacob le dio noticias de todo.
14 And he said to him Laban surely [are] bone my and flesh my you and he remained with him a month of days.
Y Labán le dijo: De cierto, tú eres mi hueso y mi carne. Y mantuvo a Jacob con él por espacio de un mes.
15 And he said Laban to Jacob ¿ for relative my [are] you and you will serve me for nothing tell! to me what? [is] wage[s] your.
Entonces Labán dijo a Jacob: Porque tú eres mi hermano, ¿me has de servir en balde? dime ahora, ¿cuál será tu pago?
16 And [belonged] to Laban two daughters [the] name of the old [one] [was] Leah and [the] name of the young [one] [was] Rachel.
Y Labán tuvo dos hijas: la mayor se llamaba Lea, y la menor se llamaba Raquel.
17 And [the] eyes of Leah [were] weak and Rachel she was beautiful of form and beautiful of appearance.
Y los ojos de Lea se nublaron, pero Raquel era hermosa en rostro y forma.
18 And he loved Jacob Rachel and he said I will serve you seven years for Rachel daughter your young.
Y Jacob se enamoró de Raquel; y él dijo: Seré tu siervo siete años por Raquel, tu hija menor.
19 And he said Laban ([is] good *Lb) to give I her to you more than to give I her to a man another remain! with me.
Y dijo Labán: Mejor te es tenerla que otro hombre; sigue viviendo aquí conmigo.
20 And he served Jacob for Rachel seven years and they were in eyes his like days one in love his her.
Y Jacob hizo siete años de trabajo por Raquel; y debido a su amor por ella, le pareció muy poco tiempo.
21 And he said Jacob to Laban give! wife my for they have been completed days my so I may go into her.
Entonces Jacob dijo a Labán: Dame mi mujer para que la tenga, porque los días han terminado.
22 And he gathered Laban all [the] people of the place and he prepared a feast.
Y Labán reunió a todos los hombres del lugar y dio un banquete.
23 And it was in the evening and he took Leah daughter his and he brought her to him and he went into her.
Y a la tarde él tomó a Lea, su hija, y se la dio a él, y él durmió con ella.
24 And he had given Laban to her Zilpah maidservant his to Leah daughter his a maidservant.
Y Labán dio a Lea, su criada, Zilpa, para que fuera su hija Lea por criada.
25 And it was in the morning and there! she [was] Leah and he said to Laban what? this have you done to me ¿ not for Rachel have I served with you and why? have you deceived me.
Y a la mañana Jacob vio que era Lea, y dijo a Labán: ¿Qué me has hecho? ¿No estaba trabajando para ti para poder tener a Raquel? ¿Por qué has sido falso conmigo?
26 And he said Laban not it is done thus in place our to give the young before the firstborn.
Y Labán dijo: En nuestro país no permitimos que la hija menor se case antes que la mayor.
27 Complete [the] week of this [one] so let us give to you also this [one] for [the] service which you will serve with me again seven years another.
Deja que la semana de la fiesta de la novia llegue a su fin y luego te daremos la otra además, si tú serás mi siervo por otros siete años.
28 And he did Jacob thus and he completed [the] week of this [one] and he gave to him Rachel daughter his of him to a wife.
Y Jacob lo hizo así; y cuando terminó la semana, Labán le dio a su hija Raquel por su esposa.
29 And he had given Laban to Rachel daughter his Bilhah maidservant his to her to [be] a maidservant.
Y Labán le dio a Raquel su sierva Bilha, por criada.
30 And he went also into Rachel and he loved also Rachel more than Leah and he served with him again seven years another.
Entonces Jacob tomó a Raquel por esposa, y su amor por ella fue mayor que su amor por Lea; y siguió trabajando para Labán durante otros siete años.
31 And he saw Yahweh that [was] hated Leah and he opened womb her and Rachel [was] barren.
Y él Señor, viendo que Lea no era amada, le dio un hijo; mientras que Raquel no tenía hijos.
32 And she conceived Leah and she bore a son and she called name his Reuben for she said that he has looked Yahweh on affliction my for now he will love me husband my.
Y Lea estaba encinta, y dio a luz un hijo al que puso por nombre Rubén, porque dijo: Él Señor ha visto mi aflicción; ahora mi esposo me amará.
33 And she conceived again and she bore a son and she said that he has heard Yahweh that [am] hated I and he has given to me also this [one] and she called name his Simeon.
Entonces ella volvió a tener un hijo y dio a luz un hijo; y dijo: Porque ha llegado a los oídos del Señor que yo no soy amada, él me ha dado a este hijo además; y le dio el nombre de Simeón.
34 And she conceived again and she bore a son and she said now this time he will join himself husband my to me for I have borne to him three sons there-fore he called name his Levi.
Y estuvo otra vez embarazada, y dio a luz un hijo; y dijo: Ahora, por fin, mi esposo se unirá a mí, porque le he dado tres hijos: así que se llamó Leví.
35 And she conceived again and she bore a son and she said this time I will praise Yahweh there-fore she called name his Judah and she stopped from bearing children.
Y estuvo otra vez embarazada, y dio a luz un hijo, y dijo: Esta vez alabaré al SEÑOR; por lo cual se llamó Judá; después de esto ella no tuvo más hijos por un tiempo.
