Acts 15
1 And certain ones having come down from Judea were teaching the brothers that Only unless (you shall become circumcised *N+kO) according to the custom of Moses, [then] not you are able to be saved.
quelques individus venus de Judée endoctrinaient les frères, en disant: « Si vous ne vous faites circoncire selon le rite de Moïse, vous ne pouvez être sauvés. »
2 When was hapening (then *N+kO) commotion and (controversy *N+kO) no small by Paul and Barnabas with them they appointed to go up Paul and Barnabas and certain others out from them to the apostles and elders to Jerusalem about question this.
Mais, comme il en résulta une querelle et une discussion assez vive entre Paul et Barnabas et eux, les frères résolurent que Paul, Barnabas et quelques autres d'entre les leurs monteraient à Jérusalem auprès des apôtres et des anciens pour traiter cette question.
3 They indeed therefore having been sent forward by the church were passing through (both *no) Phoenicia and Samaria relating in detail the conversion of the Gentiles and they were bringing joy great to all the brothers.
Après avoir donc été accompagnés par l'église, ils traversèrent la Phénicie et la Samarie en racontant la conversion des Gentils et ils causèrent une grande joie à tous les frères;
4 Having come then to Jerusalem (they were received by *N+kO) the church and the apostles and the elders, They declared then how much God did with them.
arrivés à Jérusalem, ils furent reçus par l'église, les apôtres et les anciens, et ils racontèrent tout ce que Dieu avait fait avec eux.
5 Rose up now certain of those of the sect of the Pharisees having believed saying that It is necessary to circumcise them to command [them] then to keep the law of Moses.
Mais quelques membres du parti des pharisiens qui avaient embrassé la foi protestèrent, en disant: « Il faut les circoncire et exiger l'observation de la loi de Moïse. »
6 Were gathered together (then *N+kO) the apostles and the elders to understand about matter this.
Et les apôtres et les anciens se réunirent pour examiner ce sujet;
7 Of much now (controversy *N+kO) having taken place, having risen up Peter said to them; Men brothers, you yourselves know that from days early among (you *N+KO) chose God through the mouth of mine to hear the Gentiles the word of the gospel and to believe.
mais une vive discussion s'étant engagée, Pierre se leva et leur dit: « Frères, vous savez que dès longtemps Dieu a fait Son choix parmi vous, pour que ce fût par ma bouche que les Gentils entendissent la parole de l'Évangile et qu'ils crussent.
8 And the heart-knowing God bore witness to them having given (to them *k) the Spirit Holy even as also to us;
Et Dieu, qui connaît les cœurs, a témoigné pour eux en leur donnant l'esprit saint comme à nous,
9 and no [thing] He made distinction between us also and them by the faith having purified the hearts of them.
et Il n'a fait aucune différence entre nous et eux, ayant purifié leurs cœurs par la foi.
10 Now therefore why are you testing God to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples that neither the fathers of us nor we ourselves were able to bear?
Maintenant donc, pourquoi tentez-vous Dieu, dans le but de placer sur le col des disciples un joug que ni nos pères ni nous n'avons pu porter?
11 But through the grace of the Lord Jesus (Christ *K) we believe to be saved in [the] same manner [as] they also. they also.
Mais c'est par la grâce du seigneur Jésus que nous croyons être sauvés, de la même manière qu'eux, »
12 Kept silent now all the multitude and were listening to Barnabas and Paul relating how much did God signs and wonders among the Gentiles through them.
Or toute l'assemblée garda le silence; et ils entendaient Barnabas et Paul raconter tous les miracles et les prodiges que Dieu avait opérés par leur moyen au milieu des Gentils.
13 After now being silent they answered James saying; Men brothers, do hear me.
Mais, après qu'ils se furent tus, Jacques prit la parole, en disant: « Frères, écoutez-moi:
14 Simeon has related even as first God visited to take out of [the] Gentiles a people (upon *k) for the name of Him;
Simon vous a raconté comment Dieu a d'abord pris soin de tirer du milieu des Gentils un peuple qui portât Son nom;
15 And with this agree the words of the prophets even as it has been written:
et avec ce fait s'accordent les paroles des prophètes, selon qu'il est écrit:
16 After these things I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David which having fallen and the (ruined *NK+o) of it I will rebuild and I will set upright it;
« Après cela Je reviendrai et Je rebâtirai le tabernacle de Dieu qui est tombé, et Je rebâtirai ses ruines et Je le relèverai,
17 so that when may seek out the remnant of men the Lord and all the Gentiles, upon whom has been called the name of Me upon them, says [the] Lord (who *ko) is doing these things (all *K)
afin que le reste des hommes recherche le Seigneur, ainsi que toute les nations auxquelles est donné Mon nom, dit le Seigneur, qui fait ces choses, »
lesquelles sont connues dès longtemps. (aiōn g165)
19 Therefore I myself judge not to trouble those who from the Gentiles are turning to God,
C'est pourquoi j'estime qu'il ne faut point importuner ceux des Gentils qui se convertissent à Dieu,
20 but to write to them to abstain from (from *k) the pollutions of the idols and sexual immorality and that which is strangled and from blood.
mais leur écrire pour qu'ils s'abstiennent des souillures des idoles, et de l'impudicité, et de tout animal étouffé, et du sang;
21 Moses for from generations of old in every city those proclaiming him he is in the synagogues on every Sabbath being read.
car, dès les temps anciens, Moïse a, dans chaque ville, ses prédicateurs, puisqu'on le lit chaque sabbat dans les synagogues. »
22 Then it seemed good to the apostles and to the elders with all the church having chosen men out from them to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, Judas who (is being called *N+kO) Barsabbas and Silas, men leading among the brothers,
Alors il parut bon aux apôtres et aux anciens, avec toute l'église, de choisir parmi eux, pour les envoyer à Antioche avec Paul et Barnabas, Judas appelé Barsabbas, et Silas, hommes considérés parmi les frères,
23 having written through [the] hand of them (these things: *k) The apostles and the elders (and the *K) brothers To those in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia to brothers among the Gentiles Greeting.
après avoir écrit, pour être remis par eux: « Les apôtres et les anciens, frères, aux frères d'entre les Gentils qui sont à Antioche, et en Syrie, et en Cilicie, salut!
24 Inasmuch as we have heard that some from us went out troubled you by words upsetting the minds of you (saying to be circumcised and to keep the law *K) to whom not we had given instructions,
Ayant appris que quelques-uns des nôtres vous ont troublés en vous tenant des discours qui ont bouleversé vos âmes, sans avoir reçu de nous aucun mandat,
25 it seemed good to us having come with one accord (having chosen *N+kO) men to send to you with the beloved of us Barnabas and Paul,
il nous a paru bon, après nous être réunis tous ensemble, de choisir des représentants pour vous les envoyer avec nos bien-aimés Barnabas et Paul,
26 men having handed over the lives of them for the name of the Lord of us Jesus Christ.
ces hommes qui exposent leurs vies pour le nom de notre seigneur Jésus-Christ.
27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, and they through word [of mouth] are telling [you] the same things.
Nous avons donc envoyé Judas et Silas, qui vous diront aussi de bouche les mêmes choses;
28 It seemed good for to the Spirit Holy and to us no further to lay upon you burden except these necessary things
car il a paru bon à l'esprit saint et à nous de ne vous imposer aucune charge nouvelle, sauf sur ces points-ci, qui sont indispensables:
29 to abstain from idol-sacrifices and from blood and (from a strangled [one] *N+kO) and from sexual immorality; From these keeping yourselves well you will do. Farewell!
c'est que vous vous absteniez des viandes sacrifiées aux idoles, et de sang, et d'animaux étouffés, et d'impudicité, toutes choses contre lesquelles vous vous trouverez bien de vous tenir en garde. Portez-vous bien! »
30 They indeed therefore having been sent off (went *N+kO) to Antioch, and having gathered the multitude they delivered the letter.
Eux donc, ayant pris congé, descendirent à Antioche, et, après avoir réuni la multitude, ils remirent la lettre.
31 Having read [it] now they rejoiced at the encouragement.
Or, après l'avoir lue, ils furent réjouis de l'encouragement qu'elle renfermait.
32 Judas both and Silas, also themselves prophets being, through talk much exhorted the brothers and strengthened [them].
Judas et Silas, qui étaient aussi prophètes, parlèrent longuement aux frères pour les encourager et les fortifier;
33 Having continued then a time they were sent away in peace from the brothers to those (having sent *N+KO) (them. *no)
puis, après être demeurés un certain temps, ils prirent en paix congé des frères pour revenir auprès de ceux qui les avaient envoyés.
34 (It seemed good however to Silas to remain here. *K)
[Or il parut bon à Silas de demeurer là, et Judas seul partit.]
35 Paul however and Barnabas were staying in Antioch teaching and evangelising with also others many the word of the Lord.
Mais Paul et Barnabas restèrent à Antioche, enseignant et annonçant, avec beaucoup d'autres, la bonne nouvelle de la parole du Seigneur.
36 After now some days said to Barnabas Paul; Having turned back indeed let us look after the brothers (of us *k) in city every in which we have announced the word of the Lord, how they are.
Or, au bout de quelques jours, Paul dit à Barnabas: « Retournons visiter les frères dans toutes les villes où nous avons annoncé la parole du seigneur, pour voir dans quel état ils se trouvent. »
37 Barnabas now (was planning *N+kO) to take along (also *no) John who is being called Mark;
Or Barnabas voulait prendre aussi avec eux Jean qui est appelé Marc,
38 Paul however was considering the [one] having withdrawn from them from Pamphylia and not having gone with them to the work not (to take along *N+k+o) him.
mais Paul croyait convenable de ne point prendre avec eux celui qui s'était détaché d'eux en Pamphylie, et qui ne les avait pas secondés dans leur œuvre.
39 Arose (therefore *N+kO) a sharp disagreement, so that separating they from one another, and Barnabas having taken Mark sailing to Cyprus.
Or, il en résulta de l'irritation, en sorte qu'ils se séparèrent l'un de l'autre, et que Barnabas, prenant Marc avec lui, s'embarqua pour l'île de Chypre.
40 Paul however having chosen Silas went forth having been committed to the grace of the (Lord *N+KO) by the brothers.
Paul, de son côté, ayant fait choix de Silas, partit, après avoir été recommandé à la grâce du Seigneur par les frères,
41 He was passing through then Syria and Cilicia strengthening the churches.
et il parcourait la Syrie et la Cilicie, en fortifiant les églises;
